|0.91km from city centerOK it has not good reviews and looks pretty shabby outside. But this place was very pleasant to stay at. $90 for a night and the bed was comfy, very quiet, big spacy room (no 5), very clean, great modern look with appliances, situated in good location. Service on check in was very friendly. Plenty of secure parking. Definitely stay again. Only negative was the water pressure was so slow. That's all

|1.77km from city centerI just checked in today and it’s good for the price, the hotel receptionist Sarah was lovely and kept me well informed. I’m staying for 3 days and everything seems to be in shape. I read a review detailing hotel guest with drug problems, it’s a MOTEL you are going to get good and bad and everything in between in any of these places. There’s drug addicts at the five seasons difference is that they can afford it. Lol

|0.47km from city centerStayed in a single room, which was very comfortable, with large windows and enough lighting. Below is the famous coffee shop street, which is very lively. There are also many places to eat nearby, including train stations, tram stops, 24-hour fast food, etc., which is very convenient.
The accommodation is co-living and there are activities every day. The shared bathrooms are usually wet after every use, but cleaning staff are often seen cleaning them.
The location is right in the city center, very convenient to go anywhere.

|0.84km from city centerThe Sofitel consistently gets it right. The customer service is excellent especially if you have Club Sofitel access. The staff are attentive and friendly and the service exceeds the other Melbourne hotels within the same price range. Food in the club is good and there is a good happy hour. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and each room has a fantastic view over Melbourne and its surrounds. Close to restaurants and shops. We definitely keep coming back to the Sofitel because it’s the best. I just hope they don’t abandon the nightly turn down service. There didn’t seem to be one this time and arriving into a darkened room upon checking in wasn’t ideal. Otherwise 10/10.

|0.79km from city centerDue to airline problems, I have to stay for a day and make a temporary online reservation. The location of the hotel is quite convenient. I rented it for one night. I originally planned to leave my luggage, but the staff allowed us to check in early. Thank you very much. The room is large and comfortable. The view is open and you can see the Ferris wheel. It is fully equipped. The kitchen is equipped with kitchen utensils, which is convenient for people who cook by themselves. The bed is large, the mattress is moderately hard, and the toilet is particularly large, which is suitable for people in wheelchairs. The washing supplies are complete. There are restaurants and supermarkets downstairs of the hotel, which is very convenient. It only takes ten minutes to get to the ”SkyBus” station by car, and it's free of charge. Next time I come to Melbourne, I will also stay in this hotel.

Will definitely stay there again in the future

|2.98km from city centerThe Kinson is a great place to stay. Very big room, supersized bed with really good pillows and linens; dining area, decent desk and chair, sofa, big TV, small but well equipped kitchenette, big fridge and freezer, decent bathroom with power shower and a jacuzzi. Small balcony with couple of chairs and table. All in all, a great hub for work and, being someone who walks everywhere, also well positioned for walking to the beach and all the bars and fun in Fitzroy / Aklam / St Kilda Beach (40 mins), the Botanical Gardens (15 mins), Shrine of Remembrance(10 mins tops), Fawkner Park is 2 mins away, Albert Park and Lake 5-10 mins. Even all the way to Fed Square and Bourke is 45 mins. Taxis easy. And the tram is round the corner. Only negative is The Kinson has no food service or bar, no gym and no pool. There are no major supermarkets close by, and limited eateries and bars at night, but you just go to the busier places and then have a peaceful place to stay after! I will return, but will request a room with a view rather than looking into the rooms of the apartment block next door, but you can see the park from the balcony! Bit noisy from the outside - the double glazing isn’t perfect - but it was the F1 build up! Nothing some earplugs doesn’t take care of. No corridor noise, which is a big plus for me. Staff are really amazing. Couldn’t do enough to help, advise and were always very happy. Milana (hope that’s spelled right) was a standout, but everyone seemed very happy in their job. Didn’t take any pictures of the room, but it was exactly as described and portrayed on their website.

|1.18km from city centerThis place was a breath of fresh air compared to the last 4 places I've stayed in the area. The place very very clean and tidy, the pictures are very accurate which is rare. Bed was comfy. The lady at the desk even gave me the choice of room if I wanted a room towards the back that would get less traffic noise or one in the middle She even opened them up and showed me. Both were very as clean. Super impressed would 100% come back.

|0.66km from city centerStayed here as a Diamond Ambassador in an iconic suite - Check in experience was great, warm welcome, benefits acknowledged and welcome drink provided. Amazing room, ridiculous amount of space, comfortable bed, great little office/working area. Unfortunately, the general level of service/care factor is lacking especially when staying in a room costing over 1k a night! One of my complimentary water bottles was open/used and about half empty, yuck. Later that day I wanted to use my $25 credit on the minibar 200ml bottle of gin (which is listed as inclusive of 4 mixers). Gin was missing from the mini bar I couldn't find it. Called down to reception to ask if it was by request, they assured me it should be there and would send someone up. Waited 2 hours and no one came which frustrated me as I was waiting so called down again and was assured someone was on the way. Someone did arrive with a huge bag full of everything except the gin. When questioned didn't seem to know what I was talking about, I had to point to it on the minibar menu and was met with a very confused expression, he left. Then about 30 minutes later a different person arrives with the gin bottle, success. However upon checkout there were a bunch of mini bar items charged which I hadn't consumed, and in fact were not even missing. I hate having to have that conversation but after only 3 words they were ”happy to remove them” which makes me think this isn't an uncommon occurrence. I later noticed that the mixers were charged as well where as they should have been included with the gin purchase cost, but I couldn't be bothered wasting my time to try and sort it out. Club lounge service was attentive but did fill up and get quite busy in the evenings however my drink was always topped up and the staff there were friendly and engaging. Temperature control seems non-existent in the room and I'm convinced it makes no difference what you set it to. I had my do not disturb on until mid morning, so as I was leaving for the day dropped by reception and said I may have missed housekeeping and could they have someone make up the room. Arrived back a few hours later and it hadn't been done. All up a real mixed bag here, but can't help feel my simple requests were a bother and inconvenience.

|0.09km from city centerBeautiful view. Asked for higher floor room and they did happily did so. Arrived and asked if I could go up to my room for 15 and get changed and if it was okay to leavey car out the front whilst doing so and they happily let me do so free of charge. Valet parking is available at the concierge very nice people. I needed my car numerous times during stay so I opted out of valet parking and just used the south Wharf car park. When leaving the next day I forgot to get my parking ticket scanned at the hotel and went o leave and the car park was trying to charge me one hundred and 12 dollars. So I re parked my car (it was the far end of the car park so a 5 to 10 minute walk back to hotel. I told the young gentlemen my dilemma and instead of scanning my parking ticket he on his own accord walked with me to my car and let me out free of charge. Highly recommended hotel.

|3.97km from city centerWe were given the impression our stay was in the tower behind the old building however that wasn't the case. Nevertheless the room we were allocated was lovely & clean with lots of space. A couple of issues I had #1: No lift, I'm a Chronic Asthmatic & tried to explain to reception staff that the stairs will be challenging the woman responds ”Oh my it's only on the 2nd floor so it's not that far”. I wasn't sure wither to slap her face or cry but ultimately my partner had to calm me and supported me on the climb.
Issue #2 Upon arrival we were advised the front desk is mand 24hrs, not the case at all. When checking out I waited 30min for someone to show, a cleaner turned up & advised us to leave the key on the desk unattended & to call a certain number, I called just to be told my extra $100 that was paid will be reimbursed in 5 days if not take it up with my bank, her lack of pple skills pissed me off coz she also added ”I'm not at the desk right now Because I'm doing another job in the other motel sorry just leave the key card on the desk please” ... How the F#@* is that my problem i asked myself??. I better get my money back & hopefully not get charged extra if the key go's missing!!🥴.

|4.19km from city centerI booked 10 nights at Pullman Albert Park, and got upgraded into privilege room. It was a pleasant stay. It shares the same facilities (restaurant, gym, pool etc) with Mercure, but it felt more like you're in Mercure than in Pullman. The hotel is a short tram trip to CBD. The tram stop is within walking distance, so it was convenient. I love that it is facing the Albert Park lake, such a vibe! The building is a bit old, but the room was still comfortable. The service was very good, everyone was really friendly. The only downside was that they looked understaff. I had to carry my own luggage when I left, and not many staff were present especially in the restaurant. But, everyone was very helpful! This hotel offers good value for longer stay. It's a perfect place if you want to explore more local activities such as: visiting the markets, exploring the surrounding (you can go to Royal Botanic, National Gallery of Victoria, Shrine of Remembrance), or going to the beach. Thank you for the pleasant experience!

|0.62km from city centerThe only shortfalls - My room did not service on the first night and requests took more than 20 minutes after second follow up calls. However, I appreciated the Duty Manager organizing the amenities and ensuring my room receives service on the next day. However, the next day I placed a card on the bed to request changed linen. But linen did not get changed, glassware has been removed from the room and did not replenish tea bags. Took 3 times to get it right. Positive side - i love design, location and cleanliness. It is a very challenging time for the hospitality industry to hire the right person for the right job. keep it up good work - Housekeeping. I hope my next visit will experience better service.

|1.5km from city centerRoom was very clean and tidy. Very friendly staff, reasonable price, fairly easy to get into CBD. Cleaning staff went above and beyond making up our room each day, even sitting up my son's special bunny in pride of place on his bed, such a simple little touch that wasn't their responsibility but it didn't go unnoticed. Thank you. Pillows are in need of updating, and a heads up that their was going to be power outage and a lot of noise on Monday night would of been nice. Overall very happy with our stay.

|0.23km from city centerThe hotel is conveniently located right in the heart of Melbourne near the Spanish Quarter, Bourke Street Mall, and other shopping precincts. The staff are friendly and efficient at check-in. The rooms are good in size with modern amenities and comfortable beds. There is a kettle and small fridge. The bathroom has a bath with a shower, so if you have mobility issues, it's not for you. There is no rail to hold onto when getting in or out, which makes it dangerous, especially as it gets slippery. There is a pool and gyn which were modern and accessible. The room we had faced into the mezzanine of the hotel so you dont get any light from outside, which was strange. The room was very quiet and had a good air conditioner. Overall, we would stay here again, although the lack of being able to see outside wasn't ideal, and if you stayed for more than one night, it could be an issue.

|0.91km from city centerThis hotel is superb in terms of its location, this is just right opposite to the main train station and the airport bus station, which is just 20mins away from MeL airport, regarding on its location, nothing can ask for more. However for the amenities mentioned in the rating, we have requested to refill the fixed conditioner / shampoo/ shower gel bottle inside the shower area every morning, but until we check out, still no any refill, we have to simply use our own one, you May question why don’t we contact for front desk demandingly for the refill, you needa understand no one would like to waste any time n effort to deal with that stupid thing after a long day, but i have to point out i that, if a hotel could not handle the request promptly, this is a disgrace honestly. It is nonsense for a customer to keep on the request every morning

|0.34km from city centerThe hotel is new and located inside a heritage building. The public areas were beautifully designed and we wish we had a chance to dine at the restaurant to enjoy the space more. Booked a Deluxe King Room which had a city view but the lower floors would’ve been facing a wall. The room was nicely designed and spacious, with enough space for two large suitcases. The bed was comfortable; a bit on the soft side, but much better than some other hotels we stayed at during our trip. The quality of the sheets could be improved though as they were rough to touch and not the silky smooth you’d expect at a hotel. The bathroom was a bit small but still nicely done. More importantly, they proactively did housekeeping (which we’ve unfortunately learnt is not a given on our trip) and the front desk were professional and accommodating.

|1.55km from city centerBecause this was the only hotel within walking distance from my friend's house, we stayed for a total of 4 nights and booked a 2+1+1 deal. Before checking in on the first day, the room fee and a deposit of 100 Australian dollars were charged to my credit card. On the fourth day, I went to the front desk to renew the room card (I couldn't open the door without renewing it). The front desk already knew that this was a prepaid order and asked if the payment would be deducted from the original credit card (I changed the name of the booker on the fourth night but didn't change the room and noted ”extend stay” in the order). I thought that after the prepaid order, the hotel might have to charge a deposit again because the name of the booker had changed, so I replied ”yes”. As a result, not long after, the front desk deducted 157 Australian dollars from the credit card again. I returned to the hotel in the evening and called the front desk. The front desk said it might be the deposit and asked me to talk to the manager tomorrow. I checked out very early the next day and the front desk was not at work. I negotiated with the hotel through text messages. The hotel said that I booked the room twice, once at the front desk and then again on Ctrip two hours later. They were so shameless. I booked the room on Ctrip one night in advance, but I didn't go to the front desk to renew the room card until after 9 o'clock the next day. After the communication failed, I had to contact Ctrip. If the negotiation with Ctrip failed, I would post a complaint on the hotel's official website. After repeated communication with Ctrip, the hotel agreed to refund the money, saying it was a ”communication misunderstanding”. I suggest that compatriots should check their credit card information more often when they go out, and safeguard their legal rights and interests in a timely and resolute manner, so that the chickens and dogs of T can't hide.

|0.76km from city center0/100 0 STARS HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED! On Sunday 27th March at 5:30pm I spoke to the Manager. I had booked and paid for three nights accomodation through Agoda. I had a booking email, Booking ID and Booking paid receipt as well as my bank statement proving I had paid and had a valid booking. She refused to accept my booking. She said I would need to pay triple the amount if I wanted to stay there. She said they didn't even advertise on agoda but when I showed her that the hotel was on agoda she denied it. It seemed like an elaborate scam to make u pay triple the price. Really bad experience. Buyers beware stay aware from this place. 0/1000 Highly not recommended.

The location in the heart of the theatre district is also terrific. The elite lounge has kind of an odd setup, but both breakfast options and evening appetizers and drinks were plentiful and tasty. Water pressure in the shower was a trickle, and our 2 double beds were comically close together—maybe 15cm between them. Overall, though, it was a quality Marriott experience.

|1.99km from city centerWe booked this place for 2 nights. Was offered an upgrade to 1 bedroom suite for $20 per night extra. It was huge and very nice. Very quiet room off the main road. Very comfy lounge. and bed. Full kitchen and large table & chairs. On arrival the staff were very helpful, as we had a lot of items. Problem is their parking area, does not have a lift, only stairs and we had too much to manage that way. So we used a trolley to empty the car, then took the car down to the parking, which is by the side road. had to do the reverse when we left. Loved the suite, except for the shower was in the bath, not ideal for an older person. Also the shower head was not able to move. Kitchen could do with more lighting. We would return, as it was overall good, and a good location for us. The light rail is just down the road, and a nice long walk to the South Melbourne Markets. Staff were lovely, and offered so much help with the trolley especially.
