However. Disappointed by apartment unit, i feel its style over practicality. The unit is very narrow and does not have a lot of space. Why put in a indoor ‘garden’ over a seating/sofa area in front of the tv?
Beds are hard and not very comfortable, the AC unit was not consistent and blowing cold air during sleep.
Not a lot of cupboards and no hooks for storage.
Family of 4 was struggling with available space which is intended for 6 persons.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The staff were friendly and helpful, with good English communication skills. They were also accommodating to my specific room requests.
The room itself was nicely appointed, but unfortunately, the room temperature was too warm, fixed at 27 degrees Celsius with no option to adjust the heater. This made for an uncomfortable stay, especially at night. Additionally, the bathroom layout, while suitable for solo travelers, would likely be inconvenient for couples due to the lack of a separate door for the toilet area. There's no bidet, which was a bit disappointing. I think the hotel would benefit from upgrading to automated toilets for a more modern and convenient experience.

Staffs were friendly and polite. As our flight was at night, they allowed us to use their lobby facilities even after check out.
The layout is not your typical tourist hotel. I believed its a revamped korean style motel. But place is clean and it was an great stay. Only downside was it was very dark in the room at night even with all the lights switched on.

Breakfast was simple selection of cereals, yogurts, juices, and fruits. The street that this hostel is on, is jammed packed with shops and restaurants. Be aware, this hostel close at 10pm. If you are not there before that time you may be locked out for the night like we were.

If traveling to Sinchon Station Exit 4, the hotel does not have an elevator. Carrying a suitcase will be a bit difficult. If you meet an employee, he will help you. The room is considered okay. When we arrived, the front door was an automatic lock, but there was line&kakao ID written on the front door. The host responded to our message very quickly and tell us about all the informations via line. The hostel was very quiet and the was plenty amenities provided for customers. There was no elevator and the stairs were quite narrow. The location is excellent and we enjoyed 2nights there.

This is probably the most comfortable accommodation in all my travels, even despite the shared bathroom. I would like to come back again and live here longer. I was especially pleased with the communication with the owner. They sent me information in advance on which metro station to get off, through which exit number, sent a map of the walking route and all the access codes to the doors. Ideal interaction! I wish your home prosperity!

Positive:
-Price are reasonable or even cheap
-Room quite spacious for the price
-Neighboring area is quiet, you still can hear if people open door next to you but still relatively quiet for 3 days stay
-Amenities quite complete
-Have computer but really old
-Have TVs and lot of programs
-Have several type of Charger
-Have extended chord
-Have good water heating showers
-Toilet can be set to have warm seats
-Walkable to subway station
-Walkable to convenience store
-Room is very clean for Motel standard
Negative:
-When I came staff doesn't speak English. Even I tried to give google translate and ask her to speak in it she refuse. So I didn't get what I want to ask. So I just grab my key
-All rooms are non-Smoking. From the website of Trip.com I clearly order Smoking rooms (Staff need to update this information)
-Its stated that you can see city views from window but it doesn't (You can see pictures of neighboring building and also the window of each rooms)
From these 3 points I can't give full score.
Other Negatives
-Room looks old
-No translation of using remote, Etc (You can translate from pictures tho)
-No rooms slippers
-The bidets of my toilet is broken and can't be used
-Does not provide bath mat

It is the best condition for enjoying the night view of Seokchon Lake and various convenience facilities in Jamsil - Lotte Department Store, etc., and the surrounding restaurants and cafes. I had a happy time and left.
+ The first floor of the hotel is a chicken restaurant, and the terrace is open, so it feels open and the food is good.

First of all, the window in the bathroom was in a position where it could be seen from outside due to the structure of the room, but the curtain didn't cover it properly. Also, the shower room had been repaired with duct tape. lol In addition, when I tried to turn on the hot water from the sink, there was a loud beeping noise. I wanted to ask to move rooms, but I was tired and didn't have time to do so because my entire schedule was packed. The hotel and the room itself were very clean and nice, but I didn't expect to get a room like this, so it was disappointing.

|0.48km from city centerHad the worse experience in Stanford Hotel Myeongdong. For context: I was solo travelling, fluent in English but not Korean. Asked the hotel receptionist to book Kakao taxi for me to the pickup point for my group tour to Nami island. She booked the taxi on her phone and told me to go downstairs to wait. After 15 mins, the driver didn’t show up and I had to go back up to the reception (9th floor) to ask her where the driver was. She told me he cancelled.
I proceeded to tell her to book the taxi using my KakaoT app instead. She booked in Korean and I boarded the taxi only to be dropped off at a location that was NOT my intended destination. It was a 40 min walk / 19 min bus ride away from my actual destination.
It was an absolute nightmare. I had to stop some strangers in the street and attempt to communicate with them in Korean to get directions. It was an empty stretch of road so it was really by chance that they were in the vicinity.
Eventually I made it to my destination for the Nami island pickup. If I had been any later, the tour group would have left without me.
The hotel receptionist made a huge mistake assuming that my destination was somewhere else instead of clarifying with me why I’m going to that destination. This experience was extremely unpleasant and I am shocked that the hotel receptionist did not type in the address EXACTLY as the one I showed her. Similar name doesn’t mean same location or my intended location. I am never staying at this hotel again.

|9.37km from city centerI had a great stay at this hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and much more spacious compared to other business hotels I’ve stayed at in Seoul. The view was stunning, especially at night and during sunrise, making the experience even more special. Despite being located next to a major road, the room was incredibly quiet, allowing for a restful night’s sleep.
As someone who is very particular about cleanliness, I was impressed by the housekeeping staff—they were meticulous and left the room spotless every day. The location is another highlight. The train station is just a 3-4 minute walk away, and the airport limousine bus stops are even closer, within 1-2 minutes. This makes it very convenient for both business travelers and tourists.
The only minor drawback was the elevator during rush hours. It stopped at almost every floor, and it sometimes took up to 10 minutes to reach first floor. However, this was a small inconvenience in an otherwise excellent experience.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, spacious rooms, convenient location, and tranquil atmosphere despite being in a busy area. I would definitely stay here again.
