|10.3km from city centerWe stayed here for 3 nights in April'2019. It's very near to Chenang beach, you can just walk. The rooms here are very basic and small with the bed taking the entire space. But if you are looking for something at a low price and want to be outside through out the day at the beach and just come back to sleep at night, you can go for it. The bike/scooter rental which is in-house will give you a cheaper deal than the ones in the main street.

Although it was opened in 2009, the facilities and equipment are very new, the rooms are very big, there is a small yard, and the swimming pool is at the door. The accommodation environment is very quiet and the ecological environment is great. It is my dream villa! The breakfast at the hotel is very Western-style, the coffee is freshly ground and hand-brewed, and the thick egg yoguraki is absolutely delicious, with no flaws at all!
The boss’ grandfather is Irish and has lived in Langkawi for 24 years! The hotel does not accept children very much because they are afraid that children will affect the rest of other guests. However, the grandpa saw that our children were very well-behaved, so he made an exception and accommodated us. Of course, we were kept quiet the whole time.

|10.61km from city centerThe hotel is located at the end of Cenang Beach. Although it is not on the main road, it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the beach. It is very quiet. Most of the people staying in are foreigners. The hotels are townhouses with small tables and chairs outside. The hotel’s own swimming pool is very clean and suitable for children to play. Wake up in the morning, the child accidentally discovered the little squirrel on the coconut tree. He was very excited. The only drawback is that the hotel does not provide breakfast, and there is no shop nearby for breakfast. The hotel is within a 5-minute walk of the famous Zhuofeng Seafood, Zhonghua Tower, and Zhenlang Ice Cream. There is a big life supermarket next to the Zhonghua Tower, where you can buy bread and instant noodles. In short, we highly recommend this hotel, it is quiet and private, and there are few people in Cenang Beach at this end, the sunset is so beautiful!

|10.38km from city centerWhite Lodge Chalet is an underrrated gem smack in the middle of the popular beach area. We got a really good rate on an OTA, and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived of the great deal it turned out to be. Our room was fairly spacious and there is an inviting pool in the middle of the lovely compound. There is a hot and cold drinking water dispenser, and our room had a fridge, kettle, tv and coffee/tea. The location is another big draw. It’s in the middle of the key beach stretch, smacked between Cenang and Tenang beaches so both are within easy stroll. Within 5min stroll you are at the Aquarium and behind that, the start of Cenang beach, and we never found a need to drive. Plenty of good eateries and supermarkets are nearby as well that operate late into the night. There is a good roti canai store for breakfast a mere 2min’s walk away, and McDonald’s less than 5min away. The folk running the motel are also friendly and helpful. When we asked to add a bed, the attention was immediate and the staff even refused a tip! We also booked our island hopping tour through them and the prices were reasonable. They also service the room daily although they did not replenish our coffee/tea and water. There are a couple of things we found lacking however. One is that the wifi is pretty unreliable. Sometimes it cannot access certain websites, other times it’s disconnected to internet altogether. A tourist SIM card is really cheap in Malaysia however. Another is that the doors were not well aligned, so opening and closing takes some brute force and creates a fair bit of noise at night. We read some complain about the shower being above the toilet, which isn’t really the case (though they are near). The shower position never bothered us. The new hotel extension is already completed (so no more issues with construction noise and dust) although it’s not yet open. Overall there is really little reason not to like this place. We got a good bang for the buck, and everyone including the kids enjoyed the 3-day stay. Highly recommended for those who don’t want to burn a hole in their wallet.

The staff at the reception were excellent.I have been travelling a lot and I have been using Mercure often but I have never met such an amazing and professional customer service.The check in time was at 15:00 and the asked to wait in the lobby, they offered us a coffee and they managed to check us in at 11:00! Always with a great smile in their face.Ziela and Djarhul (apologies if I do not pronounce it correctly) and also the gentleman at the reception who brought our luggage in the room were so nice.Congatulations to Accor hotels (Mercure) for their excellent staff. The above employees made us feel very special and I would like to thank them For their support and help.Really 5 stars customer service

|9.83km from city centerVery cool hotel. We had a house with its own terrace. Everything is clean in the room. Refrigerator, air conditioner, fan, water heater. Everything worked. There is a shared kitchen where you can warm up a kettle or cook something. WiFi throughout the territory. Very quiet, calm. There is a swimming pool, shower by the pool, sun loungers. We also rented a bike here at a great price. There is a shop and a cafe nearby. The beach is 3-5 minutes by bike, 15 minutes on foot. The staff is very friendly, pleasant, always ready to help. We extended our stay on the spot because we decided to stay on the island longer. Thank you for our vacation, we had a good time with you. We will be happy to come back again. I recommend the hotel!

Unfortunately, the rooms now lack adequate furniture. There are no wardrobes, hangers, seating, tables, or chairs. - there is a rock hard bed as concrete base, thin curtains, doors which dont shut properly No fridge or kettle in room. ridiculous lights for a beach hotel in the room that look like Pull chords the side of the bed very cheap items that should you accidentally break them in anyway the owner will insist and put a new one. This statement is false; we were not refunded our deposit due to this reason. Furthermore, when I requested the receipt, I received a cunning response - a receipt written in Chinese from over a year ago! The construction site adjacent to your door is practically only 6 feet away, separated by an unpleasant steel fence. It is certainly not an ideal sight to behold as you step out of your room in the morning, nor is it a pleasant sound to hear. We hardly witnessed anyone utilizing the communal dining and socializing area, and whenever we attempted to have coffee there, it was often unavailable, with no tea left either. The beach can be reached through a steel door, but it is not a very relaxing place to be due to its proximity to a construction site. Additionally, there is a steep slope that needs to be navigated to reach the beach, and the presence of many jellyfish makes swimming in the water occasionally impossible. There are four damaged sunbeds, lacking comfortable cushions and umbrellas. Consequently, this location is only appropriate for budget-conscious backpackers who don't prioritize relaxation but seek affordable accommodation. However, considering the limited amenities offered, the prices charged by this place seem excessively high. Awful proprietor and regrettably now an extremely poorly managed establishment.

Located only 10 minutes drive from the airport and 30 mins from Kuah and the Cemang beach a 20 mins walk away. Shout out to Resort Manager Irene Vairo, she is a friendly and cat lover manager who is always around to help, as the houses are heritage, dont expect everything to work perfectly. The restaurant is also excellent with live bands every Monday.

Once you enter and complete the registration, juice or beer will be attached for use. The front desk can also help arrange car rental for 80 RM a day. The surrounding environment is pretty good. There are many cats around the room. Be careful when you open the door and rush into the room. There is also an outdoor swimming pool to relax and play. It is not far from Cenang Beach. The TV in the room has no channels to watch, but it will help to put breakfast In the refrigerator, there are juice, bread, yogurt, milk and fruits, which are pretty good. Only 13 RM tax per night will be charged at the scene, which is unexpected!

|10.93km from city centerWe stayed here for 7 nights. On the checkin we were given a room where aircon hardly worked, we waited for 4 hours for room to get cold and it didn't. We notified the front-desk for this, and they took 4+ hours to figure out what to do and after multiple follow-ups, they shifted us to another room. Another room also had some issues, however we were told that they can't do anything else, as there no other rooms available for the category that we had booked. So we had no choice and settle for a room that we didn't like. We asked them that we would like to see their manager as we are not pleased with the solution that they have provided. After multiple follow-ups finally we got to meet their manager Mr. Shazly Ghaffer, and he acknowledged that his staff could have done better. We also complained that due to this issue our 1st day was completely wasted and we would like a refund for 1st night or some other way for the resort to compansate for this, he mentioned that he would look into this and get back to us, however he never got back us. Big issue with this resort is that if you run into any issues then you need to do multiple follow-ups till you get acceptable resolution, their managers and staff don't bother to proactively resolve the issues. Other issues were, their wifi barely works, I had to cancel a couple of meeting that i was planning to take over zoom. Their breakfast is almost the same all days. They have open shower in the room which looks interesting, however in the night it could be scary to take the open shower in dark and very small light. On the positive, it nicely located on the beach with lots of restaurants nearby. However with their pricing and all these issues, I didn't enjoy my stay and will not come back to this resort.

The resort is considered quite new but just only a few years, the sink is already cracked, the door of the toilet is already not working well.. it's not well maintained. Rooms are very small and no view at all.. luckily they noticed my comment on wanting a room that is away from the loud music at the pool side.. we got the corner room. The sound proofing is very bad as well.. we can hear practically everything from outside.. we have neighbours that is coming in and out of the room all night and we keep hearing talking, baby crying, door opening and closing.. all night till late.. quite annoying. No cup for brushing teeth.. the only beautiful part is the pool but facilities are not well maintained as well.

Location is strategic, there is a mini mart nearby. 6 minutes to jetty point by car, it takes around 20 minutes if you walk to jetty point. Room is not too small, it is clean. You can hear some noise from outside but it doesn't disturb us. Two towels were provided. No hair dryer is provided. The only cons is the lamp is not bright although we switch on all lights. Other than this, overall is suitable if you are looking for a budget hotel. Bear in mind, Geopark Inn is in the Kuah, there is another Geopark hotel located in Oriental Village.

Stayed at Cassa Kaseh in a Standard Double Room and found it to be very comfortable with basic necessities. Pantai Cenang was a 5 minutes ride or 15 mins walk with a choice of Pantai Tengah or Cenang to do my morning walks and enjoy the sun and sea. This hotel is value for money and the staff are friendly and helpful.

|9.98km from city centerLocation - You have to stop by about 600 meters from the main street to the dark road. It's a little more than 1 km to Chenan Beach.No supermarkets, restaurants around. Facilities - barefoot. It's stiff to use barefoot to the wet toilet. The shower feels like doing in the yard and sometimes frogs run around. The towels are stated as free and the amount is 5RM. The bed puts a mattress on the tree on the freight stand. The outlet does not enter 1 220 volts and the staff should touch it. Ambient - It seems to be pursuing a service and system similar to a European hostel, but the facilities are too outdated and messy.The location is not good.The staff should be educated more. Breakfast is self toast and jam. There was a program that seemed to be a music performance by the staff and several people in the public space in the evening, but it was a level of drinking and crowding. The singing, the staff and some people kept drinking. I put a beer in a plastic bag in a shared refrigerator, and I was drinking, and in a while someone took it out and ate half of it. When I told the drinkers, the drunk staff said they would buy it tomorrow. If they don't, one of them says they give it for money. And they bought beer because they didn't. No one knows, no mistakes, no one says sorry. It's like a place where people without manners stay. The price is cheap for one person, but if you are looking for a hostel alone or shining.There are enough good places at similar prices to the beach

I walked there twice in about 15- 20 minutes; it would cost about 10 RM by Grab taxi. Some rooms have a good view of the Maha tower and the bay --the tower lights up at night and is really beautiful. The bed is quite comfortable and the WIFI is very strong . The shower and hot water runs alright . The staff, Dan, was very helpful and helped me to complete my itinerary . I was travelling alone, but there were families there as well . It is budget friendly but the amenties exceeded my expectations. Of course it is not luxurious, but the rooms are clean. I enjoyed my stay.
