I highly recommend Motley, a low-key and luxurious hotel in Richmond. It looks inconspicuous from the outside, but it is very exquisite inside. The design and supplies of the guest rooms are very tasteful, clean and hygienic! Just walk for more than a kilometer to Fitzroy Garden, and it is also very convenient to go to the City. You can take the tram at the door. It is not noisy in the City and the environment is very quiet but convenient. You can reach the City business district on foot or by tram. The coffee shop downstairs is very good. The front desk lady is very enthusiastic and took the initiative to send me another bag of candy the next day. The room was already there when I checked in. The service details are very warm and the hotel with a strong sense of design is highly recommended.

The hotel is great and the laundry can be done in the room. Parking must be reserved in advance, otherwise there may be no parking spaces when you check in. It is very inconvenient to park in the parking space outside. We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 4 nights.

I was surprised this property was rated as high as it was. It was fine, if a little basic. The room was very noisy from both inside and outside the property. Close to public transport but you need it to get anywhere as it is quite far from the main sites.

The place was cheap and did the job for only going there to sleep. Got what we paid for. It’s fine. The room description said queen size bed but it was definitely a double. There was mould in the bathroom and no soaps for us to use, only two packets of shampoo. The aircon was not the best but did the job. Lots of places throughout the hotel that need a touch up, it’s very old and has had barley any work done. The entire place has an odd smell of dust and other stuff and I couldn’t stop sneezing the whole time. Everything was cheap, TV was cheap, towels were cheap, pillow covers were cheap. But, the staff were lovely and helpful. The location is very good. The hotel is beautiful on the outside. The bed was very comfy.

It's only two minutes' walk to St Kilda Road and you can take any of the seven trams to the city. Very convenient. The room is very decent in size and the view is nice. The only complaint I have is the ceiling lights are so dim that I couldn't even pack/unpack my luggage in the evening. The bathroom lights are motion triggered and only work when it is dark enough. I had difficulties shaving in the morning. I think it's a design fault.

This place was a breath of fresh air compared to the last 4 places I've stayed in the area. The place very very clean and tidy, the pictures are very accurate which is rare. Bed was comfy. The lady at the desk even gave me the choice of room if I wanted a room towards the back that would get less traffic noise or one in the middle She even opened them up and showed me. Both were very as clean. Super impressed would 100% come back.

The location is very good. It is only 10 minutes walk from Southern Cross. Skybus goes directly to the airport. The street in the middle of the ancient building is very beautiful. The breakfast is also good. The facilities are a little old, but the maintenance is OK. The area is also large enough.

We were given the impression our stay was in the tower behind the old building however that wasn't the case. Nevertheless the room we were allocated was lovely & clean with lots of space. A couple of issues I had #1: No lift, I'm a Chronic Asthmatic & tried to explain to reception staff that the stairs will be challenging the woman responds ”Oh my it's only on the 2nd floor so it's not that far”. I wasn't sure wither to slap her face or cry but ultimately my partner had to calm me and supported me on the climb. Issue #2 Upon arrival we were advised the front desk is mand 24hrs, not the case at all. When checking out I waited 30min for someone to show, a cleaner turned up & advised us to leave the key on the desk unattended & to call a certain number, I called just to be told my extra $100 that was paid will be reimbursed in 5 days if not take it up with my bank, her lack of pple skills pissed me off coz she also added ”I'm not at the desk right now Because I'm doing another job in the other motel sorry just leave the key card on the desk please” ... How the F#@* is that my problem i asked myself??. I better get my money back & hopefully not get charged extra if the key go's missing!!🥴.

This motel is too close to the highway, and the front desk gave me a room facing the road. It is very noisy at night, and even double-glazed windows are useless. The hotel looks quite new, newer than the motels I stayed in along the way from Sydney, but the facilities are the most broken. The hair dryer and exhaust fan are broken, and the access control system in and out of the lobby often fails. In addition, I put the food bought in the supermarket in the refrigerator. Who knew that when I opened it the next day, I found cockroaches in the refrigerator, which is not hygienic.

I came in for a conference and was pleasantly surprised by the level of service and hospitality that Hilton provided, from giving me the room much earlier than anticipated to ensuring my comfort throughout my stay. The male manager on duty (unfortunately I don't have his name) was very welcoming and friendly. Would stay here again, especially with how convenient the tram stop is, right outside the building. Because this was the only hotel within walking distance from my friend's house, we stayed for a total of 4 nights and booked a 2+1+1 deal. Before checking in on the first day, the room fee and a deposit of 100 Australian dollars were charged to my credit card. On the fourth day, I went to the front desk to renew the room card (I couldn't open the door without renewing it). The front desk already knew that this was a prepaid order and asked if the payment would be deducted from the original credit card (I changed the name of the booker on the fourth night but didn't change the room and noted ”extend stay” in the order). I thought that after the prepaid order, the hotel might have to charge a deposit again because the name of the booker had changed, so I replied ”yes”. As a result, not long after, the front desk deducted 157 Australian dollars from the credit card again. I returned to the hotel in the evening and called the front desk. The front desk said it might be the deposit and asked me to talk to the manager tomorrow. I checked out very early the next day and the front desk was not at work. I negotiated with the hotel through text messages. The hotel said that I booked the room twice, once at the front desk and then again on Ctrip two hours later. They were so shameless. I booked the room on Ctrip one night in advance, but I didn't go to the front desk to renew the room card until after 9 o'clock the next day. After the communication failed, I had to contact Ctrip. If the negotiation with Ctrip failed, I would post a complaint on the hotel's official website. After repeated communication with Ctrip, the hotel agreed to refund the money, saying it was a ”communication misunderstanding”. I suggest that compatriots should check their credit card information more often when they go out, and safeguard their legal rights and interests in a timely and resolute manner, so that the chickens and dogs of T can't hide.

The shared bathroom and the room were simple and clean. The room was a little dusty but clean. The heating was on and we could use it freely, which was nice. Sometimes there were all kinds of smells (smoke outside and the delicious smell of cooking in the shared kitchen), but I was fine with it.

Check-in was smooth and  was graciously given a room even though we were early. The room was well equipped with a kitchenette and a washing machine. Do go up to Level 6 for a good view of the city.  Convenient location! The hotel is in the Fitzroy area. Walk out of the entrance, turn left and turn left will lead you to a busy street with eateries and supermarkets. There is a bus stop for Bus 86 that will take you into the heart of town in 20min.

It is very clean every day. The door is the tram, which is convenient for travel. The sound of the legendary train is there, but it has little effect. There is no view of the room, and the air conditioner will be turned off automatically in the middle of the night.
