P.S. A night in Hamburg and booked via the Secretariat! Should be near the central and well reachable within the overnight standard (as a predetermined option). The Milano is actually a pension (formerly a residential house with 12 rooms). No lift and three floors. I had my room in the third floor (with laptop bag, small bag, small bag with extra shoes, keys, mobile phone what to say). The door to the room went up in the hall and unfortunately on the halfway a little hesitant (because the tape). View into the room: 1. bed 2m x 80cm left 2. The closet was only the front room and the right went to the main room with double bed, TV and a small balcony. The right to the bathroom, which was newly designed and mostly clean. The shower is very clean (i.e. without fungus & Co.). Breakfast: Something habitually needed as I am a coffee drinker and here like a latte Macchiato, this was unfortunately not eating and the filter coffee was not recommended right (then rather a tea, however, I don't like). Concluded: For business travellers with ordinary hotel chains, the hotel is usually needed for the first time but the location (only 10min to the outer elderly) and 35min to the port city, the top is when you see the price performance ratio. There are also two tank stations (24 h open), REWE and Lidl right around the corner, as well as some good restaurants and the UCI - cinema. However, it is clear that the parking situation and public transport - connection is not possible. Since there was a Holiday Inn next to our central, I would prefer this to Milan. Also or just because of the atmosphere at breakfast and the selection, lift naturally and parking.

I traveled from Denmark, with a party of 9 people in June, for a short company getaway and spent 3 nights at Ibis Style Barmbek. Apart from the noise from the trains in the railroad just outside our windows, we really enjoyed our stay. Decent food, the reception was sweet - although they had a hard time understanding our needs because they didn’t speak English. And the location was near public transport, which was a plus. The only remark I had was concerning our invoice. I asked several times both by phone and in email, to get an invoice after paying our stay and every time I was told that they would send it, which they never did. That was very unprofessional. Would maybe stay here again, if I was traveling with a fluent German speaking friend and didn’t need the bill.

I was from 28.07.22 - 29.07.22 in the beautiful Intercityhotel Hamburg-Barmbek. We were welcomed by a quite young receptionist. She was very professional and especially friendly. You already felt right well. The wish in the 3. The floor was filled with a beautiful view. The beautifully furnished room has a pleasant size ( we had noticed the cheapest category). The bed was very comfortable and let us have beautiful dreams. There is even Sky Sport/Bundesliga for which men may be interested. Also a minibar with a free water bottle has jumped into our eyes. Very worth praising! Also there was a great rain shower! The only manko was the air conditioning, which was already set at -1 degree Celsius at the arrival. But it was then possible to adjust it individually. What we also felt positive is that there is a free ÖPNV ticket for each hotel guest including. This was very good because we went to Musical ,”Wicked” in the evening and we could conveniently drive to the stage theater new Flora. To the train station you need only a maximum of 2 minutes from the hotel. Generally, this is a very good central hotel. Let's come to the only critical points, and to breakfast, which is currently offered for €17 per person. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed at that point. Most because we paid together at first €51 for it. The breads were very hard. The spoon was dry and the stick appeared not to be made by itself. For this price it was not good at all. This was notified at the reception below and the criticism was also taken very seriously. The woman was also a young receptionist and also very friendly. After our question how to stay here now, we were friendlyly refunded a breakfast and the parking ticket. You can't really make meckers at the service. Thank you very much to the friendly and professional staff and staff!

About a 25-minute walk away from the city centre, this is a good base to explore the city (lots of public transport options nearby, if you don’t fancy walking). Plus also many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The space itself was surprisingly spacious - we stayed in a studio - though the seating area was not the most relaxing (but we were out most of the days). These are serviced apartments, although ours was only cleaned once during our 11-night stay. But towels and linnen were freely available on our floor.

Although the hotel is a little outside the city centre, it is directly at a S-train/bus stop. Directly opposite is a bakery and a kiosk with good opening times. All in all was a very nice stay. We had a family room in the 7 floors, here was a room with a double bed besides two single beds. The bathroom is small and clean and is equipped with a shower bathtub. The kitchen line has a refrigerator and two stoveplates, and the furniture is also available. The furniture is simple and useful, so no first class expect. The mattresses were very comfortable and the breakfast buffet included everything you can use for starting the day. The staff could be friendly with each other, but the ranking struggles had no influence on the service. Unfortunately, it may take a little time to get the chairs at their destination, these are not the fastest. At the moment, the 800m metro station Billstedt is replaced by a rail replacement, but it works without any problem. We liked it and I would book there for the second time.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Room was unusually large. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning which meant my room was like an oven. The staff kindly made available a large fan. Much appreciated. Breakfast was very nicely presented with a good choice but no fresh machine coffee was a shame. Lovely fresh orange juice. But... When I checked in I had distinctly said I needed to check out 1 day early. In clear German. No possibility of them not understanding this. When I tried to pay my bill the night before I was told I would have to pay the full amount. I was met with 4 members of staff talking at me telling me I was wrong. Well Boston Hotel. You are wrong! I confirmed with my booking agent (at midnight!) that I did indeed have a flexible booking and I am permitted to check out early. I had given 2 days notice. My booking agent will now be escalating this matter. I am looking forward to their response. I refuse to be intimidated into paying for something I have not had! After 30min of discussion and disagreement I was told to sleep on it and speak with the manager the next morning. I did this and was told again that I would have to pay the full amount. I knew I was in the right so I rang the police for advice who were excellent. They told me not to pay for something I have not received. I took the policeman's name and number. I informed reception that I will pay for the days I have been present and no more. Eventually the hotel agreed. I had been prepared to walk out without paying because they were making every excuse under the sun to force me to pay the full amount. The police said not paying would be ok provided I leave my details. But it would be a civil matter if I do not pay but I must leave my contact details. I was prepared to do this. Appreciate the friendliness of the young man at reception in comparison to the others! An exception. Of course, it is unlikely I will return to this hotel. Nevertheless, this is most likely an unfortunate individual experience. The hotel is nice, modern, comfortable and clean. Apart from the check out fiasco I would still recommend this hotel. Albeit extremely hot in summer! Be careful if you also need to check out early!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Pros Good location and only 5 min walk from the nearest train station (keep walking when you see the sign on the side of the building as the entrance is round the next corner). Got a deal for 2 double bed room for 3 adults including breakfast - booked direct as comparison sites only include 2 breakfasts. Buffet breakfasts had both cooked and continental style food. There was plenty and they serve English breakfast tea. Comfortable beds and decent bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Cons Air con was not great and barely made a difference. We were on the Große Bleichen side and with the windows open, we heard noisy speeding luxury cars and the refuse collectors that both woke me up. We kept the windows shut after this. I would ask for a room on a different side if we visit again. I can't comment on the restaurant as we ate out in the evening.

We travel to Hamburg regularly for 2-4 days and will likely stay again at this Marriott: great location, feels safe even late to walk home, clean though unfortunately carpet, good bed, nice bathtub, water kettle and tea selection. American standard service attitude. Note that the bar at the hotel did not have a trained bar tender - they can only make drinks that are exactly on the menu. Not a big deal for us but surprising. We are still careful with Covid, staff wore masks, other customers mixed.

Enjoyed our stay, particularly liked the great wifi, air con and roof top bar. All staff were very friendly and helpful, especially reception staff who allowed us to check in early. Bed was large and comfortable and shower was hot and powerful. Everywhere was exceptionally clean. Didn't hear any noise except the fire alarm going off at just past midnight which meant we had to leave our room and stand outside in our nightclothes for about 20 mins on one occasion. Room was cramped for 2 adults, especially a male over 6ft tall. Bathroom was tiny. Not a lot of restaurants or bars nearby and 15 min walk from main train station was a bit seedy as it passed nearby a compound for homeless and adults with addictions. We were approached by one of these individuals one evening as we walked back to our hotel via the steps on the way to the hotel from the train station. Hotel seemed to be geared to the younger market but we still enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is very modern, something outside and makes some right. The price-performance ratio was ok, the services were as expected. The 24-hour reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but modern and as we had expected. The bathroom was large enough, the bed was 140cm wide, as ordered and cozy and there was a mini-fridge, water cooker and a capsule coffee machine. The breakfast was fine, but the high-priced offer was far from promoted. The choice was small and sufficient, but the offer could have been even greater. The hotel also tries to think of some ”modern”, no room service (it is often so and for the price well). You have to keep the lift free for its floor, which is permanently spinning and you have to hold the card twenty times. You should have the waste out of your own when it is full, in rooms for it. But all right, only my own and not the guest's, you could have removed it before we enter the room! And you use bed lakes instead of slips, because these are easier to change, stupid only if I wake up next morning and lie on the mattress, since the lake is scrapped again. In itself. a good business hotel that could offer a good price-performance ratio if you don't try to think everything new if it decreases quality.

Motel One in Hamburg is simply fantastic! The room was clean and well furnished, I booked the one with the balcony and I enjoyed staying there reading a book enjoying the view and the warm sunshine. The lobby has a large room serving tea, drinks and breakfast... different services at different times. I was able to sit on very comfortable chairs sipping tea in the afternoon and a thirst quenching cocktails after dinner. The breakfast buffet is really very rich with savory and sweet products. The only downside is that there is a bit of a queue during rush hour as there are not enough tables to accommodate all the customers. But I must say that the wait was not long, 5 minutes at most. The staff is extremely professional, well-mannered and always attentive to customer needs. I appreciate it very much.

I had a room in the rooftop with massive roofs and a rather small roof window. I don't know whether it runs like EZ or DZ. Two would hardly have gone. All right alone. Although you have no views of course ... The facilities were modern and quite tasteful. The bathroom was quite large and absolutely OK in relation to the room. At all, under the title price performance the offer was very good. Of course, a few boxes you need to do: only a slow lift. No refrigerator, no glasses, kittens were quality bad. Many TV channels - such as RTL - can't be received funnyly. Apparently because of lack of satellite shaft ... This is more amazing for today's conditions. In the room there was one clothing shaft in the open garden. Further promised on request. But just promised;-) Well an internal communication problem. Otherwise the young team at the reception was very nice and helpful. Packaging was also possible without problems in a secure room. The location was very good, right at the railway station and therefore direct ÖV connection. There are many restaurants around the hotel. I didn't try breakfast. Therefore my three-day stay was quite nyce;-)

Stayed at the Motel One Alster for 2 nights during a business trip to Hamburg. The hotel is located in the St Georg part of the city and right outside Lohmuehlenstrasse underground station on the U1 line (one stop from Hamburg Central Station). Additionally it is also within a 5 minute walk to Berliner Tor underground and S-Bahn station with direct access to the train to Hamburg Airport. Check-in was quick and the staff being very friendly. My room was located on the 8th floor and featured the standard Motel One interior. The rooms are certainly on the smaller side, but clean and modern. The hotel also features a very well stocked Gin bar downstairs. Again, staff being very friendly and attentive. Overall, Motel One is a no frills hotel concept but from my perspective it punches well above its closest competitors in this segment.

The hotel isn't quite finished yet, but I still felt very comfortable there. The location is great, you can quickly walk to the Alster or take the subway to the city center. There are many practical details in the hotel (kitchen in the room, water dispenser in the breakfast room). The staff is very friendly. Especially for only 3 nights, I thought it was great that no room service was included - you really don't need it in such a short time. The breakfast contained everything you need to start the day. The only thing I missed was a kind of bedside table next to the bed and salt/pepper shakers on the tables at breakfast - there was only one on the buffet, which is a bit impractical. Overall thanks for a great weekend and see you soon!

Positive :Located centrally in St. Pauli and everything is well accessible. Family rooms consist of two separate bedrooms. Breakfast was good. Negative: Duches were broken. (there was a capsule missing) Toilet/Badroom looks like a cabin and when you leave the room you need to be careful that you don't fall because the floor with the bedroom is not on the same level. In the whole well, however, it is not enough for a two-star hotel.

We were visiting Hamburg with a group of students (47 students, 15-17 years old) and landed in this wonderful hotel. The operators were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms far above the standard of youth hostel we are used to on such trips, the breakfast buffet is rich and supposedly infinite, as the ladies have always filled. Thank you for four great days!

Ibis Budget Hamburg St Pauli Messe

Less than 2min from tube station St Pauli and two blocks away from the world famous Reeperbahn, this Ibis Budget is great for all kinds of guests: those on business and who need only a bed and breakfast the next day, those who'll spend the day wandering around the city, among others. The standard is the very same all over the world, so no complaints abou the size of the room and not having this and that are accepted or fair. Being Hamburg a tourist magnet, the price is far too high for a standard IB, especially in the summer, when it can cost as much as a Mercure or even a Pullman elsewhere. Breakfast is basic but you find something to start the day with. The staff could perhaps be friendlier, tough the blond lady heading the reception is sweet for all of them.

1. The landmark building and the highest height in this area are facing this view, which is really worth it. 2. The facilities are good and clean. 25 square meters, worthy of 4 stars. 3. I live on the 24th floor, and the WIFI signal is not good, but the staff gave me a network cable to connect the notebook to the network cable and turn on the hotspot. After the mobile phone is connected, it is very comfortable.

In the holliday inn, the rooms are too small, the rooms are too small, and the hotel is next to the red light district, going south and west are the red light districts, there are more drunken people in the evening and early morning, and the public security situation is average.

Very nice hotel with a perfect location in St Pauli just a street from Reeperbahn. It gives you a nice B&B-feeling. The room we got was quite small but otherwize comfortable with nice beds. Didn't like the pillows which were too thin. Very calm area. Good breakfast and worth the price. Walking distance to most places we wanted to visit.

We had booked an Elbphilharmonie Suite, which turned out to be a gorgeous light room with three ceiling to floor windows overlooking the harbour and the city. It had a huge comfortable bed with perfect (for me) pillows, a desk, lots of chairs and sofas, a fridge, kettle and mugs. The bathroom had another ceiling to floor window and a bath, separate shower and separate wc. There were some really nice touches such as mirrors on the ceiling of the top shelves, so that you could see what was on them, small windows that opened and hooks by the front door (though none in the bathroom!). There were no USBs but plenty of sockets. The A/C was easy to set and worked quite well, but we kept the curtains drawn during the morning when the sun was directly on the room. Turndown offered more interesting ideas such as sunscreen (which was brilliant and useful), foot cream and Mentos as well as a chocolate on the last night. We had breakfast in the hotel on first and last mornings: excellent hot and cold buffet with bacon, fried and scrambled eggs, mushrooms, beans, sausages and potatoes as well as loads of pasties and other options. We also used the Blick Bar, which had very good service. We had beers and potato crisps as well as good cocktails and mocktails: it is quite expensive though.

The location and neighbourhood is perfect. Portuguese quarter never sleeps even though the rest of the city shuts down around 7-8 pm. Landungsbrücken station is so close, so you can use S1 and U3 lines and reach most of the attractions at once. S1 line also has direct connection to the airport. We had no problem in check in/out processes, it was super easy. Once we got into the room, it was well designed, modern and well equiped. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenware was beyond enough. The room even had a small balcony/garden access. Wifi and AC works well. We had minimum need for the staff but when we needed they were helpful. When we checked out, they kept our luggages for a couple of hours. The pillows are too soft, maybe a little bit harder pillows can be used. Also in the room (studio apartment) we stayed, the shower door leaks some water. It can be checked and fixed. In the mornings, restaurant or garbage trucks make some noise but this has nothing to do with the hotel.
