This hotel is about 100m away from Ben Thanh Market, 5 minutes walk to Saigon Square or Takashimaya. It is clean, almost new and customer service oriented. They offer you tea with snacks while they process your check-in. The staff will then wait for you to finish your tea and bring you go up to your room. They love showing you the rooms, as it gives you “Wow” factors. They gave us free upgrade and the toilet bowl is Japanese style. They will deliver chocolates and good night cards after dinner. They even remember my girlfriend’s birthday and left the birthday cake on the table. 👍👍👍 However, there are “not so good” to mention. They do not have wide range of TV channels. Only news channels. No Sports or other movies channels. The toilet bowl is also very close to the door, making me difficult to open the door at times. They should also not open the gym so early as some guests will throw weights on the floor while doing gym. The sound will wake you up. You also need to pray that it is not raining or you will get wet as their shelter could not prevent you being getting wet from rain. Overall, this is the best hotel by far I stayed in HCM, in terms of cleaniness, friendly & customer service oriented staff and room designs. It’s almost perfect hotel for me. Will I stay here again on my next visit? Yes I will.

I have booked a VIP room costed about SGD 100 per nite for 2 nites. The photo shows a jacuzzi in the room! Upon check-in the room, I found the room a bit dark with dark walls, even with the curtains of the doors to the balcony opened. I have to repaired the right bedside light to make it lit. The TV remote has run out of batteries & the hair dryer is not working. I have to ask the house keeping to change it. The room is spacious with a outdoor balcony for smokers, as there is an ashtray there despite of my booking request for a non-smoking room. The balcony is facing a white wall of the next building!?! So no nice view from the balcony. Double basins are good but the jacuzzi is not working! Just treat it as an oversized bathtub. Feedback to the front counter & the answer is all jacuzzis in the hotel are all not working!?! This should be stated at the point of booking. I felt like being scammed to book a non-working jacuzzi VIP room! There are no face towels, just a medium sized towel & 2 large bath towels. The white floor towel is already stained & wet when I checked in. The aircon is weak even I have set it to full blast. However, the room is quiet without the infamous Vietnam traffic noise. There is no nite light leading to the bathroom in the nite, I have to switch on & off the lights when using it during sleep. The toilet bowl is located in the dark corner without lights. Do avoid throwing toilet paper into the bowl which would choked it. I learn it the hard way! The digital lock of the door sometimes refuses to lock. So do check if the door is lock when going out. The location of the hotel is perfect facing the famous Ben Thanh market. Shopping, eating & money changing are not a problem. There’s is a pharmacy in the left of the hotel & jewellers at the right for money changing. Most jewellers are unofficial moneychangers. This would be my first & last stay with this hotel,as there are plenty of other hotels nearby if I wanted to stay near the Ben Thanh market for my future trips. I do not mind paying but do not scam me.

Wir haben hier 5 Nächte in einer Park Suite verbracht. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, sah jedoch auf den Bildern anders aus. Wir hatten anscheinend eine Eck-Park-Suite. Der Park ist auch eher versetzt nach rechts als direkt davor. Ein verlängertes recht kahles Stück „Park“ vor dem Hotel ist eingezäunt und eine Baustelle. Auf unserer Etage (8.) gab es noch 7 weitere Zimmer. Wir waren direkt am Fahrstuhl gelegen. Generell sind die Flure sehr klein. Wir dachten erst es würde laut aber dem war überhaupt nicht so. Auch im Zimmer hört man hinter den dicken Fenstern lediglich ein Hintergrundrauschen (Straßenlärm). Dass die Badezimmer im Zimmer sind und nur mit Glas verkleidet ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Es gibt im Hotel aber genug Ausweich-Toiletten um sich gegenseitig mal etwas Privatsphäre zu geben. Wasserhahn an und nicht umdrehen geht für kleine Geschäfte auch :). Schlimmer fanden wir, dass der Vorhang an den Fenstern nicht die komplette Front bedeckt, weil so morgens genau auf das Kopfende die Sonne geschien hat. Das kann man nachbessern, da die Vorhangschiene ja bis hinter läuft. Das Bett war super. Schön fest und groß. Das Houskeeping war sehr gründlich. Es war alles super sauber. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr jung und nett. Das Gym und der Pool, so wie es auf den Bilder präsentiert wird, gibt es so nicht mehr. Der Pool der eine größere Plastikwanne ist, wird 18 Uhr abgedeckt und die Gesamte Dachterrasse in eine Bar verwandelt.. eher Shisha Lounge. So ziemlich jeden Abend ertönt ohrenbetäubend laute Musik.. ohne Gäste (da keine Promotion). Die Lounge wurde erst vor 4 Wochen eröffnet.. fanden wir nicht einladend, war auch immer leer.. gehört nicht direkt zum Hotel. Scheint eine Art Kooperation oder Einmietung. Wir fanden, dass sie so gar nicht zum Hotel passt. Sollte man überdenken. Der schöne Fitnessraum musste deswegen vom Rooftop weichen und ist nun in einen SO schlimm kleinen. Raum in der 11. Etage verfrachtet worden, dass die beiden Laufbänder gerade so nebeneinander passen. Das wars! Keine Handtücher, kein Wasser, kein Platz. Sehr enttäuschend, weil wir auch das in unsere Hotel-Entscheidung einbezogen hatten, mal Sport machen zu können. Tagsüber werden dann 3 Sonnenliegen irgendwie an den Pool ran geschoben. Alles nicht einladend.. und das für so eine Lounge die keine Gäste anzieht und wahrscheinlich mehr Gäste ärgert als anspricht, da der Bass bis nach Mitternacht durchs Gebäude geht. Über uns in Etage 9/10/11 wo die großen und teuren Suiten sind muss es noch schlimmer sein. Wer gibt so viel Geld aus um dann unfreiwillig und unvorgewarnt die ganze Woche so beschallt zu werden. Man sollte eine Chance haben darüber informiert sein zu können, wenn sich Dinge im Hotel so maßgeblich ändern, als im Internet dargestellt. Das Restaurant in Etage 12. ist nicht in betrieb.. das Café in der Lobby auch sicher wegen fehlender Frequenz nur auf Sparflamme. Insgesamt waren diese Dinge enttäuschend und vermitteln einen traurigen Eindruck. Die Lage ist

Some of the staff not so friendly this time - i didnt press for an explanation but felt this several times during my trip in vietnam in general, which was sad as i like the country and the vietnamese people a lot. Most of the staff though were, conversely, excellent, especially the lovely breakfast girls, the porters and especially Jolie on the front desk. Her english is immaculate and she was tirelessly friendly and helpful to me with everything. A true professional. Some noise through the walls and floors but this is normal for HCMC. Overall, a good option hotel.

We stayed here 2N at the start & 2N at the end of our 12D tour. Each time the hotel bellhop was ready to assist us. Cannot say the same for the Reception staff. The 2nd time we were even given a room that we could not even lock and after waiting for some time and still not allocated a new room, we insisted that we be given one asap and they had no choice but to upgrade us. No tourist information was also given and when we asked for a map, they flipped through files and then said that there was none left. Surely, they could photocopy one from their file. We then asked directions to the river and all they told us was that it was too far to walk. We told them we had looked it up before we came to Vietnam and it was within walking distance. It is less than 2km away. The good points of the hotel is that it is very conveniently located opposite Ben Thanh Market and within walking distance to the river, Saigon Opera House and the Saigon Centre/Takashimaya where there were plenty of food choices. The buffet breakfast is also good enough with both Western (scrambled eggs/sausages/ham/salad/plain pastries) and Asian (congee/soup/rice with veg/fish/meat), a fruit juice/tea/coffee/fruits/yoghurt. Just be warned that the hotel's entry is via a flight of stairs. Hence, not suitable for those requiring wheelchair access or the very elderly.

The room was spacious and hygienic. The service was very good. I was upgraded to a room on the second day after I checked in. During the few days I stayed in Ho Chi Minh City, the hygiene here was one of the best. There was a washing machine and refrigerator in the room, which was very convenient. If you are considering to rent an apartment from Glenwood or use their Resort, stop here unless you want to pay $300 USD a month in electricity. I am an American living in Ho Chi Minh for 2 years. This place took total advantage of me and my fiance during the hardcore lockdown in Ho Chi Minh in Septmber of 2021. During the no go outside order by the Vietnamese government this place forcrmed us to come outside (by turning off our electricity and water) they forced us to cross the street to pay our rent and our Electric bill which was a 7 million electric ($309 USD) bill which is 5 times higher than the average electric bill. Check back soon and I will be attaching a link to our YouTube video showing how Shady that place is. When we came across the street to pay the bill we were also filming and they told us to turn off our cameras. We refused, in my experience the only people who don't want to be caught on film are those who are doing something wrong. The YouTube video will also show our electric meter spinning like crazy, so fast you cannot even see the black marker on the turning wheel. They installed a new electric meter in our unit and you can hear it grinding the gears at times because it can't even go that fast. They forced us to pay a six million electric bill the next month because we could not leave due to the hardcore lockdown and Ho Chi Minh. Avoid Glenwood Residence and Apartments in Glenwood Resort at all cost. Greenwood was given the opportunity to refund all of our electricity except for an average bill to avoid a one-star review. They failed to heed the warning. I am also doing negative reviews on all Resort sites next. The had the chance to do the right thing, return my full deposit and all my electric charges except a fair amount, they declined. This review will their Karma.

Just a few steps away from the lively ben thanh market. Wonderful night life surrounded by many cafes, massage places and good food options. There are traffic lights in this area making it easy and safe to cross the streets. But disappointed that the hotel lobby isn't air conditioned and that 1 of the 2 showers in each of the connecting rooms doesn't come with hot water. Only 2 small bottles of water free, it wasn't clear and they charged for the rest :/

The Odys is a tricky one for us to review. Overall we stayed 3 nights during our trip, 2 nights together then a break and a further night after a trip to the mekong. The hotel itself is quite nice.. nothing really wrong with it as such, the rooms were clean and had everything in there like all the others we've stayed in during our time in Vietnam. I wouldn't really call the Odys a ”Boutique” hotel but that's a matter of opinion.. but where we feel the Odys was a let down in this regard was that ”personal” feeling. Earlier in our trip we stayed in many places and all of them without question made us feel like we'd been before.. and in the case of multiple nights and multiple visits indeed the return welcome felt very personal (Bonsella.. you are the best in this regard during our trip!). The staff in reception were pleasant and polite but but it did seem very ”clinical” in approach? Maybe the city thing? But in our opinion it was a little too sterile feeling for a ”boutique” hotel. Breakfast in the hotel was fine, with the usual options available but the staff in the restaurant were our least preferred of the whole trip (anywhere in Vietnam), they were disorganised to say the least.. There were plenty of them around but service wasn't exactly the best. We did take advantage of one of the offers for the restaurant one night, booking a table by the side for a good city view. When we arrived that evening we find that the table we booked had been given to someone else, and in fact there was no mention of our booking. We waited and before long another suitable table became available. After eating we got the bill, and queried why the offer wasn't applied. We were told in order to get the offer we needed to book a table beforehand, this was by the very same person who led us to the table after finding out our booked table had already been given to someone else. It was sorted out, but this is just one of many examples of the staff not being the best. Oddly enough it was also the only place in Vietnam where we struggled with staff not being able to speak English (very few seemed to?), this took us by surprise as even in the remote locations in the north this didn't seem an issue. So In summary, we think this hotel is ok for the night, but that boutique feel is not there, its much more of a large hotel kind of feeling.

Next is a lot of trouble, as follows ↓ #停# The hotel does not provide parking service, and did not give us a clear explanation. As a result, the next morning, the car was “lost” (there was also a delay in going to the consulate). Finally, at noon, it was found that the so-called urban management was dragging the car away. And did not leave any notes. The car was also rented, and the penalty was paid. The car was not taken back, and finally the car owner was asked to handle it. It’s really a mistake, it’s speechless... I want to cry without tears. If there is no such thing, I would recommend this homestay.

We spent our first two nights in Vietnam here. Staff were very friendly and eager to help (even through the language barrier). Rooms were a little dated but comfortable nonetheless. A/C worked very well, bathroom was fully stocked with toiletries and the free breakfast was delicious! A little far from the tourist/sightseeing area but was very close to a couple of local busses that took you there (for approx 30 cents Canadian) and there was a ton to explore and experience on the doorstep. Would definitely go back again!

I always go out and look for it ㅠㅠ The view is so good I think there was a lack of explanation about the facilities that can be used. There is a swimming pool in front of the entrance and in the building next door, but I didn't use it because I didn't bother to inquire. There's also a fitness center. I had a good rest~~

Pros: Lovely rooms (two-bedroom) which had everything you needed. Nicely decorated and felt upscale. Hotel was slightly off the main road and rooms were quiet. HCMC roads are busy and noisy!! Small but clean gym, small playground for kids (indoor and outdoor). Pool is big and clean. Restaurant area next to pool. Lobby and reception area is very nice, smells good and has a luxurious feel. Location was good, near the zoo. Cons: only one: breakfast. Vietnamese food is very good but this was the hotel’s weakest link. Limited choice and not that delicious, if you got there after 8.30am almost all the warm food was cold. Hope this can be improved.

We were greeted upon arrival by the staff who were lovely and provided us with welcome drinks. The check in process was smooth however our room was not ready so we were unable to check in. They kept our luggage for us and we went and sat by the pool. Don't be fooled by the pictures of the pool it is actually extremely small with only 6 sunbeds around the actual pool area. Half of the pool is under the shade. There is another terrace upstairs with sunbeds but you are away from the pool and some parts shaded. We stayed in a family suite which was extremely spacious and clean. The breakfast had a good selection and catered to everyone there. The location is roughly around a 10 minute walk from Bui Vein Walking street which isn't too bad once you navigate the traffic. Due to the size of Ho Chi Minh it is extremely difficult to get your bearings especially if you are only staying a few days. Overall I would stay in this hotel again.

The hotel is very good. Sure it’s not a Hilton hotel, but the stuff cares a lot and helps you with everything you need. Very kind and open minded. The rooms are coast and good to stay in. The beds and the bathroom is also very good. I can’t say anything bad about this place. The owner and his staff are doing everything they can. I can definitely recommend this place for your trip to Saigon :-)

The room is very big. Because I don't like noise, I chose a windowless room. It's quite quiet. But one side of the bed sank slightly at night, and when you turn over while sleeping, there will be a sound of the bed's wood, right? RiverGate, the location of the hotel apartment is great, has been staying many times, located in the 4th county, crossing the bridge is the bustling Saigon 1 county, there is 7-11 and supermarket downstairs, there is a swimming pool and gym, the manager of Zhou Apartment service is great, and there are many room types to choose from, This time I stayed in 4 1 bedroom 1 living room 1 bathroom 1 kitchen type rooms.
