Accommodation was for four adults. We required a queen and two single beds configuration. Great communication with reception staff before our arrival ensured this was exactly what we got. We also pre booked our parking space before arrival. The apartment was clean and fresh. Modern, neutral, minimalistic decor throughout. Aircon worked well. Very reasonable price for the location which was walking distance to the centre of town and the many cafes and restaurants nearby. Would recommend.

Having stayed at Ramada Marcoola Beach earlier in the year which was well below standard, we were over the moon with the quality and cleanliness of the Ramada Suites in Christchurch! Due to the roadworks going on in the city centre, it took us a while to find it but a great location which is close and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, cafes, shopping and local excursions around the Christchurch CBD. Staff were friendly and helpful, checking in and out couldn't be easier. For sports fans, this will be the place to stay as the new Christchurch sports stadium is currently being built across the street! This place is a real credit to the Wyndham Ramada group and should be a template for all their sites.

The layout with sliding glass doors enabled me to work whilst my daughter was not disturbed, sleeping. The facilities were good and the shower was accessible of anyone with mobility issues. It is also close to pack and save -NZ largest supermarket, so self catering is very easy. We also travelled around using public transport, and the connections were only a couple of flat blocks away making it ideal of those of us who didn't have a car.

The hotel is centrally located, not very expensive at price - it also corresponds to quality. The reception times are very unfavorable and are not respected. As we were following the CHC only in the afternoon, we wanted to leave the baggage at the hotel. In the early evening we asked when and whether we could deliver the baggage. The early time (from the motel view) is to wait for the opening of the reception at 9:30. On the check-out day we waited just half ten before the reception and we found that the reception was still closed and the staff were not even entered the building.. We have to wait before closed doors until 09:45. When we (And the employees!) were finally entered, we could only deliver under baggage in half an hour... thus we are swept the remaining time in CHC.. We wouldn't come here anymore!

My room was not cleaned up despite me putting up a door notice for housekeeping for the day. When I returned to my room in the evening, I was told to my surprise that my booking did not include housekeeping. The website of Breakfree at Cashel mentioned housekeeping is available. I was not informed that my booking omitted this service. Furthermore, I was told to collect new towels by myself at the counter. I just don't feel the hotel is not up to the mark in this aspect. Other things I am not quite happy about is that the room space is too small for easy packing and unpacking of my luggage but I suppose I get what I paid for, which is ok. I have decided to move to other hotel for the rest of my journey in Christchurch for the above reasons .

Raymond and the staff made our family feel really comfortable. The facilities are clean, modern, and efficient, with everything functioning perfectly. Having plenty of places to plug electronics in and a strong wifi signal really lifted our moods after our nearby home flooded (hence the reason for a lengthy stay). The studio sufficiently accommodated two adults and a preschooler. If my house floods again, I'd be happy to book another stay, and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Great price, central location, and easy access to nearby amenities.

We enjoyed our time at Colombo lodge in Christchurch! Putu went out of his way to accommodate us greeting us at the door. Sending us a message pre check in to let us know where to park.. I could go on! Thank you so so much for your wonderful accommodation and we will definitely be recommending our friends and family to stay here! Everything was clean and well put together! Bonus was that it was very close to where we had to be so overall great place! 100% recommend

The hotel is super spacious with one big bed and one small bed. Enough for a family of three The big bed is also big enough for three people to sleep. Sanitation is also good, other facilities are the same as ordinary hotels. The stay is quite comfortable, and there is also a sofa and coffee table. If you don't want to go out to eat, it is a good choice to pack it back to the hotel. The hotel has a gym and sauna, but I don't have one. Could not comment.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights just recently, first arrived at the hotel, the reception was polite enough but not as helpful as any front desk staff coud be. The room was clean and comfy, location was fantastic, environment was superb (quite, few hote guests). But somehow my wife lost her wedding ring from our room. We only noticed by the end of the day, and should have picked up earier. Mr. ************, the hotel manager, made it even worse from a travellers point of view. He has the worse attitude to the whole incident, instead of offering his empathy, he pushed responsibility back to the hotel guests who lost the wedding ring in his room at his hotel. His passive aggression is throughout all the poor google review! He reacted bluntly when questioned about CCTV other than the door access record he could provide immediately, being agreesive at his answer and attitude towards to someone who turned over the room to just look for the missing ring. He was not friendly, empathatic nor welcoming despit he is in hospitality industry. Im not blaming at anyone here or making any accusation on anyone but he as the hotel manager was the only one we could seek help for in a foreign country, and he expected us undedstanding how police and system worked here. To us, he made us sound like *****s and being forgetful on our own properties.

How many adjectives can I use to explain our experience with this magnificent establishment? Beautiful, classy, pristine, welcoming, warm! It is a step back in time in the right way. They have encapsulated the essence of what the early 1900s may have been like with the bar staff being spot on, cheerful and skilled. The decor is grand, making you picture the pastimes grandeur. The pool and gym area are to die for and it takes on a different feel when u are beneath ground level. Our two bedroom suite was no less than perfect in every way. Bed comfy and huge, bathrooms on point. Even with a 12 yr child in tow, we were never made to feel less than welcomed and special. No road noise, no neighbouring sounds. Even the gentleman doing the early morning cleanup on the entrance was pleasant and helpful. Will return next time we visit Christchurch.

The hotel is in a great location, but it is a big hotel. The staff are very pleasant and they make it feel more personal. It is close to shops, restaurants / cafes, the tram and most of what Christchurch city has to offer. We booked direct with the hotel, a good price for the location, but our studio room had a view of a carpark and other room windows. The room was big enough but an extra chair would have been better. We did not like the uncomfortable pillows and the extremely heavy bed cover we had to remove. We don’t normally ask for clean towels each day, but had to with no where to hang to dry sufficiently and no electric towel hanger like we have had in most other hotels we’ve stayed in NZ. Overall a pleasant stay and no problem with valet parking.

I had a wonderful one night stay at this establishment. The check-in was quick although the owner doesn't speak much English. Small parking lot in the back that can fit 3 cars and a few street spots in the front. The room also included a couch and a 2-person dining table. Everything was clean and cozy. There was a full kitchen with a stovetop, oven, water boiler, mini fridge with ice compartment, cooking utensils, cutlery, bowls, cutting board, bowls/plates, and salt and pepper. The kitchen and bathroom have doors so it limits the kitchen smells into the bedroom. TV has several channels. Shower had a great pressure and plenty hot water, hair dryer included. 2 air heaters available in room. There was provided bathroom toiletries. I was given 2 wifi code vouchers for 1GB each, speed was okay but not great. I was on the top floor; walls are thin facing the outside but overall noise was quiet. You’ll maybe hear other guests moving in and out of building. I would have been happy and comfortable with a long stay here; would recommend.

1. This is a B&B hotel. Unlike the general hotel, the owner of the store, the two partners, take care of the hotel in person, and make the guests feel like they are at home. Especially the breakfast is sitting around a rectangular table, the owner is baking bread for everyone, tea or coffee. Although everyone did not know each other, they soon became familiar with it, chatting and chatting, chatting about the places they visited and sharing experiences. The atmosphere is very good and I like it very much. 2. There is a Malay Chinese in the host, very young, very enthusiastic and talkative. Chinese tourists will be more convenient. 3. The hotel is in a good location, about 15 minutes walking distance to the city center. It is convenient to visit the main attractions in the city. 4. The fly in the ointment is that because it is an old house, the room layout is limited, the room is relatively small, and may not be used to Chinese tourists who are used to big houses. In addition, Chinese tourists who are not good at English may not be able to adapt to this environment.

Beautiful and quiet courtyard, complete kitchen facilities, and convenient living around. Especially the Korean bosses are warm and kind and responsible for their work. One day, my husband answered the phone in the yard, accidentally put his bag on the stool in the yard and left. Our passports, ID cards and other important things were all inside. Twenty minutes later, we found out that the bag was gone, and we were in a hurry. When the domestic epidemic was tense and international flights were cancelled again, we would be unable to move without a passport. We told the Korean boss about this, he asked about the situation, let us not worry. Ten minutes later, he delivered the bag to our room. There were a lot of passports and cash in the bag. We are very fortunate to book this hotel, and met this honest and kind Korean owner, who is away from home, this hotel is trustworthy. Call the owner!

We rented the two bedroom apartment on the first floor for 160nz$ per night which is great price for the big rooms. Kitchen has a cooker, oven and microwave and fridge which were all in good working order. One room is a double bed with heaters on the bed and the other room had twin beds also with heat. There was an extra bed in the lounge area and a newish couch. Table and 4 chairs which need an upgrade . Curtains we new and nice. Parking was fine . They not so great things are the water pressure. Some days there were hardly any pressure. Cleaning could be better - and some days there were no house keeping which does not bother me too much but might be important for some. That said the request for clean towels etc were met promptly but very nice and accommodating owners. Location was great.

The hostel is a highlight of this city because it is converted from an old prison. The prison style is a bit depressing, especially because it is located in a tiny street where there is nothing ... a bit like at the end of the world. It's nice to sleep one night but probably not longer. Well, but everyone likes other attractions and generally the hostel is not bad.

I stayed at the North South Holiday Park at the start of my solo NZ trip and very happy with my choice. The owner Dan picked me up from the airport ($5) and was able to transport me with my bike. I was able to check in early to my accommodation which was great as my flight came in early and I was jetlagged. I stayed two nights in an ensuite cabin which more than met my needs. There is a Burger King, Petrol station, highway inn within walking distance and a supermarket close by. When I went to set up my bike equipment the day after I arrived, I realised my tire was flat as my airline had misokaced some of my luggage I didn't have a bike pump. Dan was very accommodating and helped provide me with tools I needed for my bike. I highly recommend staying here and shall return here for the end of my journey in the south island.

The price was okay for what you get. When we got in, it smelled of chlorine, like the indoor pools. Which I kinda liked tbh. But that only lasted a 20 mins so must have only just been cleaned. Room was of a decent size, beds were algs, kitchen was fine, water pressure in shower was great. the heating was good and had big windows/sliding door for cooling (was quite cold outside at the time). Staff were very friendly at least and it was next to a mall and grocery store. Everyday they bring new towels, bath mat, and hand towels. But that's where everything goes downhill The cold water, when poured into a glass out of the kitchenette sink, came out cloudy and mirky, so go back in time 30 mins to pour the glass of water so it's clear for when you wanna drink it. Next, every morning there was condensation all over the windows and getting anything wet that came in contact. The precious lightbulb above the mirror in the bathroom was blown. The heated towel rail's bottom fixing was broken, so the whole thing was swinging round on the piss which was pretty hori. Then the toilet seat was completely cracked as someone before us assumed it was a softclose toilet seat but it slammed down and broke lmao. Room service could've been better, like actually empty the full rubbish bins and give us more toilet paper if you notice one day we're on the last roll instead of us getting halfway thru a crap and realising theres none left and having to ask for more. And providing face cloths would've been nice. Other than that it was algs.

Excellent location and safe parking. Very very helpful manager - William. He was amazing! Its my home away from home. If there's one thing about William is honesty. We returned to Auckland and didn't even know that my eldest daughter Beat Headphone were missing, worth $430. It was rose-gold with white trimmings. There are convenient food options just across the road. Stayed four nights at this hotel which has a great location and within walking distance to most attractions and restaurants. Check in was good and paid parking plentiful. Unfortunately, the lift was not working on our arrival so we had to leave our luggage in our car and walk up to the third floor. The hotel is dated and grubby as was our room. There was a trolley of dirty towels and linen left in the hallway for over 24 hours during our visit, this is unacceptable! The bed was comfortable but the bathroom towels were very thin. One day we returned to our room at 4.00pm and the room was not made up. I understand the vacated rooms are made up first but after a full day of sightseeing, it would be good to return to a tidied room. I have stayed at various Quest hotels in Australia as I am a member but this is by far the worst. As such, I could not recommend this hotel to other travellers.
