I stayed at the Boathouse Apartments with my husband and 15 month old son after my son was quite sick on Hamilton island and unable to fly home. As there was no accommodation on Hamilton island I called up a few different places and settled on the Boathouse Apartments. I called ahead of time to see if we could check in early so my son could nap after the journey across. The reception staff were quite friendly and did try to get us in quickly however when we got to the room there was a rollaway bed instead of a cot. We left the room and came back to a cot being dumped in the apartment and not set up at all (not a big issue but also not what I’d expect paying the price for premium accommodation). The following morning I received a text that they had to do maintenance in our apartment for roughly 2 hours (I was never advised of this even though I called twice, told them I had a sick child and booked over the phone). We had staff knock on the door twice throughout the day to see when they could do it. First when we had a screaming child we were trying to give antibiotics too and secondly when we were trying to get him down for a nap (again when he was very distressed). We ended up having to leave and sit in a room after an unsuccessful nap with a toddler who had a high fever, ear infection and a rash. I’d also been trying to book a Telehealth appointment to have my son assessed but this was made difficult due to the fact we had to leave the room. One of the reasons I booked was due to the washer/dryer, we had no clothes left so I did a wash upon arrival. I ran the dryer multiple times that evening and kept finding sopping wet clothes at the end of every cycle which was really frustrating. On the following day we asked about the dryer and were advised that they don’t work very well and that the only apartments that had dryers were occupied. Because of this we were forced to wear the same clothes for 3 days straight. Not great for a messy/sick toddler.. We eventually were able to get our clothes dried and received them around 5pm the night before checking out. While I do appreciate the staff for doing so, it wasn’t very helpful at that point. The whole experience was really awful. Travelling with a sick child is hard enough let alone having that added stress. I am pretty annoyed that no one advised us of the works needing to occur during our stay and the fact that a dryer is falsely advertised. I never would have booked if I had known either of these things ahead of time and I feel fairly ripped off for the money we paid given it wasn’t exactly for a holiday..

Hugged by dense tropical plantings which sway to the soothing sound of the ocean, you’ll quicky lose yourself in this dreamy villa. A resort-style pool is a peaceful and unexpected welcome as you step inside. There is indeed a feeling of unlimited space once in the expansive entry. Down one end is the sleeping zone, spread across two levels, and down the opposite end is a generous living, entertaining and dining wing. All is calm in the four bedrooms and ensuites with a mirrored layout in the two top floor and two ground floor bedrooms. From the top floor, enjoy the tropical outlook and ocean glimpses from each balcony, while the combination of timber, white and grey is a calming palette, creating a lovely luxuriousness in the ensuites. The tropical surrounds bring a high level of calmness to ground floor bedrooms - as well as the ensuites - and guests can step outside and soak it all in.

There is a very lively and popular pub downstairs from the hotel. However, the soundproofing in the room is OK, and it is not too noisy when the windows are closed. This time I booked a sea view room with a small balcony and a nice view. The room is equipped with special towels for swimming. If it rains, you can borrow an umbrella from the hotel front desk. The only regret is that there is no safe in the room.

Positive points: - childfree - in walking distance of the main street (which includes a grocery store, pharmacy, clothes and accessory shops a number of restaurants and cafes and a maccas and pizza shops) - in walking distance to the beach. - Courtesy buses for tours and restaurants will pick you up from this hotel. - Our room had a spa bath. - Beds are comfy. - Ocean view. Negative points: - The plates, cups and cutlery in the kitchen weren't clean. - As a female, not a great deal of security. Some of the fly screens look like they had been slashed because they had been badly ripped apart and the entry door has the old key and lock system. So, if I was travelling alone, I wouldn't have felt safe with very minimal security on the room. - The bathroom floor is quite cheap and rough on the feet.

Not far from the main street, there is a bus stop just outside the hotel. It is quite convenient for transportation, food and drink. It is very comfortable to take a slow walk in the wind after dinner in the evening. The sanitary conditions are acceptable. It looks like an ordinary apartment. The facilities are a bit old. , does not affect use, has a small balcony, wide view, clothes drying rack, microwave, refrigerator, dishes, cutlery, and you can stay there.

The room is large, with separate bathroom, separate shower, kitchen, cloakroom. It is not very neat and clean. At the end of August, there was a sheet on the bed. It was too cold. I woke up at 4 o'clock and found that there was a small blanket in the cloakroom. It was too small and about the same size as today. It was covered with two bath towels. The best is the location, shopping around various bars, BWS, Woolworth walk3-5 minutes away. Airport shuttle is also very convenient.

This is the longest hotel to stay in Australia. The hotel has a very B&B style, a lot of rooms and facilities. Checkin was two days late, the hotel's aunt did not say anything, but also let us have fun. The hotel has its own small infinity pool that just solves the problem of the Airlie Beach lagoon and pool maintenance. It should be noted that there are two uphill slopes to the hotel, which must be good for young people with good physical strength. If there is an elderly person, it is recommended to rent or about the car. The hotel is very cost-effective at Airlie Beach, with a great view on the hillside. It is a 10-minute walk from the Woolworth supermarket below. It is very suitable to buy food and cook. It is especially recommended to have a car family.

The price is good, the location is at the foot of the mountain, the house on the mountain is expensive, the place is on the most lively street, because it is winter, the street is relatively deserted, the large supermarket is across the road, you can walk to the beach in 5 minutes, and the nearby entertainment facilities are complete. Pools, bars, shops and playgrounds are all available.

I just loved these apartments. We has a ocean front deluxe. It had fabulous indoor and outdoor space, full kitchen, large lounge area and lovely bedrooms. In the apartment was a washing and tumble drier although suspect that this is not the case for all rooms as I also spotted a laundry. It is a short walk down the hill to the wonderful free lagoon and lots of bars and restaurants. The walk back up the hill made my calves scream but good exercise. I am only sad we could not stay longer.

There are 2 girls in reception that are absolutely arrogant and with a terrible attitude. If you have any problem (even caused by themselves), they will never try to help you, and for any question, they give you just fast answers to get rid of you. A girl, in particular, a blonde one with curly hair, left me impressed thinking of how a person can be so mad while working in a tourism facility. If you hate to work with people, why don't you find another job? there are plenty of jobs in Australia. I have been extending my stay different times and every time they charged me with more than the correct percentage for the card payment and I had to push them to correct the mistake. The place is not bad, the location very good, but the girls at the reception ruined my stay and since the beginning made me feel uncomfortable. I stayed in a camping site. The price in a beautiful town like that it's ok, just the site was too small.

I originally set up a hotel in Han Island. I was temporarily notified that I have no room. I bought everything for air tickets and can only change it here. It ’s a place to play more. This hotel has been promoted on the little red book. The location is good. The downstairs is the supermarket, you can buy what you need, eat, invincible sea views, and very close to the market, there are several restaurants in the Internet, the distance from the pier is acceptable, breakfast is simple, because the travel time is early, So I ate at the hotel on the last day. The room was large, but the facilities were old, but it was acceptable. The bed was too small.

I really enjoyed my 9 night stay here recently. The balcony provided beautiful views, the self-contained apartment was clean and tidy and had everything I needed, including a washing machine and dryer. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to restaurants, the beach and shops. The bus is very close if you prefer not to walk. There is a steep hill to get up the driveway if you are without transport, but it was just part of my daily exercise routine. Not at all an issue for me but some may struggle if they don't have a car.

We're just about to leave this beautiful place! We had arranged an airport transfer prior to our trip or you can do it at the airport. It was a short 30-minute away, check-in was smooth, and the lady was super helpful. We were situated in apartment 6 with spectacular views. The apartment was absolutely beautiful, with all the amenities you need. Woolworth is a short walk away, but you don't want to wall back! The hill is a killer, but the views are worth it! We walked into the town every night and got a taxi back up. If you're driving here I'd suggest picking up some food etc before you arrive, we had been on a flight and had not eaten since the previous day, with nothing available straight away we just ordered a take away! We thought it was strange on a Saturday most of the restaurant seemed to be closing early, we struggled for a table after 8 pm in most places closing at 8.45. Definitely recommend staying here, its close to town, and about 15 min drive to the airport for the great barrier reef flight! Which is a must do!

A perfect stop off in Airlie Beach before we joined a Whitsundays cruise. Rooms are simple but spotless and with a very comfortable bed. The small pool was perfect for a dip to cool off and the view out to the marina and landscape behind topped off a wonderfully easy stay. We didn't use the in-room catering facilities but seemed well equipped with enough to cook a simple meal (hob and microwave, no oven). The full size fridge was useful for a couple of beers though! And a jug of chilled water already in there was a thoughtful touch. Washer and drying facilities also available - again appeared well maintained and clean unlike some of the washers we've come across during our trip! Air drying racks were another thoughtful touch to make the most of the warm weather instead of paying for the tumble dryer. Peter was a welcoming and helpful host, thanks for a great little stay!

This place is probably the best (or in the top 3) of places to stay in Airlie. The location is great..right on the water (remember you can’t swim though due the stingers for most of the year). Views are amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful (after being asked a few times). The rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. However the place seriously lacks in meeting international standards for 4-5 star accommodation. Room service stops at 8.30 and the restaurant won’t take bookings past this time! There’s no restaurants in Airlie that take bookings after this time. There’s no in room phone to ring reception.. unbelievable! There’s no drawers in the rooms, other than your beside table, to put clothes in. You’re provided with 5 theft proof coat hangers..are they that dear? We asked the cleaners twice and reception once for more but they never came. It’s best of the very average approach Airlie takes to tourists. We travel a lot are amazed and embarrassed at how expensive and poor quality tourism provisions are in North Queensland.

The hotel is very close to the main street and Woolworth, and the location is quite convenient, but you need to climb uphill to get back to the hotel. After climbing to the hotel, you are already out of breath. If there are elderly people, it is recommended to book a pick-up for the whole journey. It is okay for young people to walk. Hygiene: It was still very clean when I first entered, but it was not cleaned every day. Only when I checked out, I didn’t need to clean it myself~ Because I lived on the first floor and there was a centipede one day, but there were insecticides~ Facilities: The overall facilities are like an Australian home, which is different from the hotel. It is suitable for a family to live and you can cook. There are only stairs on the floor of the room. It is more convenient to have luggage on the first floor, but there will be insects. The lighting in the room I lived in is average. The front balcony can see the sea at a glance. The scenery is very good, and there is a swimming pool, which is very good~ Service: Unlike the hotel, the front desk has fixed working hours. At other times, you need to call to communicate by yourself, and you need to speak English~ But I asked about the sunset sailing on the day I just arrived, and they were very enthusiastic~ Check-out is not during reception working hours, so you need to call to confirm and put it in the small box at the door. Finally, the Wi-Fi is only good on the first day, and I basically use my own mobile data afterwards
