Not in a central city location, but the mall connected to the hotel is fantastic and… huge! You can practically shop and eat anything you want just in this one mall. The hotel itself has great breakfast spread. The service is top notch. Most important of all, the room is clean and comfortable.

This isn't my first stay here, but it's definitely a hotel I would choose again. The staff greets you warmly as soon as you step into the entrance. Check-in is quick, and the room is clean and well-kept. I had a room with a view of the pool, which my son absolutely loved. The breakfast was great, and the hotel's location is ideal—just a 5-minute walk to One Utama shopping mall.

PROS: Food shops are nearby, TTDI is the nearest MRT, has a busy stop in front, Starling Mall is just nearby. As for the room, I am a clean-holic, so for me it’s a must that the washroom is super clean and I’m happy about it. CONS: Not suitable for elders cause there are 3 levels. TV channels are not much. So, better to bring your lappy/iPad for entertainment. No kettle. Also, it was not notified that deposit must be paid. I paid in full. Will appreciate it if we are notified. Receptionist isn’t that friendly or understanding either. 😏 Overall, for this price, I actually liked this hotel.

My wife & I stayed for 2 nights and we found this hotel that was close to our relative house, that we were visiting in SS20 area. It is quite spartan but has the basic necessities for an overnight stay; ie air con and reasonable twin bed, shower and WC facilities, a small fridge ( next to the bed so can be quite noisy, since we did not use it we did not turn it on ). Unfortunately, the TV was snowy but we were there to sleep so it did not bother me though I would have love to watch a bit or catch up on the day news. The plumbing in the basin was making some noise whenever we use it. As the walls are quite thin and the floors are not carpeted, you can hear quite a bit of noise from the corridors and doors slamming shut. Overall, we did manage to sleep well though I have to pay RM3 if I need an extra pillow. Eateries and a shopping mall are very close to the hotel so location is good.

This is our second time staying at Ascot Somerset. Extremely convenient to commute around and plenty of good food across the road especially the Hokkien Mee at the end to the right. The roast duck at the same stall is definitely not to be missed with its tender and juicy meat. I bought one full duck for myr78 to bring home to Spore to share with the family. Highly recommended.

Second time here. Location location location. First time we booked 2 rooms, requested for connecting rooms. However we were given a so called family room (1 bed room apartment, living room turned into a bedroom), layout was poor and we had to share the bathroom! Second time, we stayed as we had to attend a night wedding near the hotel. We were given the room facing e-curve. It was noisy with music until 10pm as e-Curve was having food festival. The room was smelly, most prob due to sewere or water leakage from the old pipping.

This is a new hotel and i love it! It can't get any better for this price range. I love the gym as it allows me to do a thorough workout. There is a beautiful pool but a bit small though. There is ba*****t parking. The room size is comfortable and the beds are comfortable. What's most amazing, this is the first hotel I've been to that has bolsters! There is a water cooler at the hallway where you can get cold and hot water. The location of the hotel is just around the Malay area and there are plenty of food stalls that you can sample from.

Iron Issue The provided iron has a burnt surface, which severely affects its usability and even stained my clothes. I suggest the hotel replace the iron promptly. 5. Poor Sound Insulation The sound insulation between rooms is poor. At night, I could hear the sounds of the couple next door making love, which disturbed my rest. I recommend the hotel improve its soundproofing measures. It first time experiencing self checking hotel. The instruction given by email is not clear. Just ask you to call them before arriving. I have never experience such self checking and it will be a good practice if the hotel is to give us specific instruction email and we need to pay deposit online before allow to check in. It took me almost 45 mins to check in. Further to this i was given a room that has not been cleaned and it was a total mess. Luckily, they managed to change the room for me. For a traveler who look for ease of checking in and better hospitality service (human interaction instead of over the phone) i will not recommend it. It will be a disaster if the traveler is not tech savvy. It may has a good and clean facilities and the price is good but i will not recommend it. I will definitely not stay in a self check in hotel ever. It is definitely off my list of hotel to stay.

The room is really clean and I like the shampoo / shower foam dispenser which encourages zero waste. There's a water dispenser (hot and cold water) on each floor too. The mattress and pillows are comfy too. However, for old people, it might not be suitable as there are no bed frames, just mattresses on the floor and the step up to the washroom is quite high. And there are no lifts. One has to climb up the stairs to go to one's room. For young people, this is a good budget hotel which gives you value for money.

Overall stay was okay. There are some area of improvements required: 1) Swimming pool : Need to collect the towels from the gym but no one was there. When towels are not enough, no one to ask from. 2) Toilet : There are no light at the shower area. A-bit dark and small. This is a budget hotel located in the Kota Damansara area. I stayed at this hotel for one night. The rooms are a bit small but not bad. The bathroom is clean and there is a geyser for hot shower. The television is quite small and a very old one. The bed is comfortable but the rooms are not sound proof. There is a convenience store right next to the hotel and it is surrounded by many nice restaurants, massage centers and shops.

Got this room 116RM for 3D2N by Agoda. Need deposit 50RM. The building next to Nasi Kandar Nur Alif ,which is open 24hours The parking is free, but need to struggling bit. My favorite parking is in front of the Bubble Lab Laundry 24hours (because the lightnings so good, also can peek from the windows room. Lol) There is two mini market nearby 24hours, KK and 711. The AC quite good. I didnt try the Wi-Fi. The TV Channel so bad, also so noisy. Have the fridge. But the the electric kettle looks not clean. The area enough close to Sunway Pyramid and Subang Parade, if you are Mall person. This is quite satisfy you. Overall the hotel is good.

the good: 1. because the room is small, the aircond gets cold quickly and wifi is averagely good 2. the location of this hotel is excellent and is located near many convenient places thus would make a good place to stopover for the night if you are tired. Even more convenient than Xplorer hotel 3. no issue with the toilet as it is clean and served its purpose well. Theres even toiletries and toothbrush/toothpaste provided the bad: 1. during check-in, the staff at the counter seems to be overworked as she hardly smiled or even had the mood. seems like she is forced to be there the whole day and has not had a holiday for a very long time. 2. It may get a little noisy at the entrance but because my room has no window, it was alright. Overall, the location of this hotel and comfort adds points but the lack of parking is a thing of a concern if you are planning to check in during the afternoon. I would consider staying this hotel over the Xplorer because of its cleanliness and nice lobby.

Stayed here a couple of times for proximity to One Utama shopping mall (MYR7-15 by GRAB) because the hotel there is expensive. Not sure why people would otherwise stay in Damansara since there are budget hotels in the city as well. Plenty of amenities within walking distance such as cafes, bars, local coffeeshops. Two fantastic speakeasies are in the same row (Hyde and 61 Monarchy). Nearby street parking is free, but difficult to find especially weekend nights when it is peak period at the bars and cafes. The cheapest room is around MYR70 (+ MYR10 if you are a foreign visitor)- no windows and just enough space for a bed and table. Sheets are stained but smell clean. Typical of such budget hotels, there is no separate compartment for shower so the water floods the entire bathroom (my pet peeve!!!). Drainage can be poor depending on your luck. No shelves to put any toiletries so you need to bring a toiletry bag or basket with a hook for your stuff. Only liquid soap provided in a mineral water bottle (mega weird). No stairs to get to the rooms.

The room, atmosphere, spaciousness, cleanliness exceeds our expectations. There are many cafes at the Ground floor and a garden. This is a duplex unit and we liked the stay here except a few highlights, car parking lot is a maze and the location to go down the ramp is not clear for first time visitors. There is fridge, washing machine, hangers, shampoos, toilet papers etc The TV has a tvbox for us to login our own Netflix account or use the youtube. The air cond can be noisy at night it may disturb light sleepers. Overall recommend to stay because of the location and the unit itself is huge.
