Possibly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. However, I can’t give full 5 stars to Hotel St. Regis Toronto for reasons that I’ll explain later. On the subject of location, the Hotel St. Regis in Toronto is in a very fantastic location in downtown Toronto with many of the city’s main sights and attractions (CN Tower, St. Lawrence’s Market and Yonge-Dundas square) all within short walking distance from this hotel. Readily accessible through RideShare apps too. Regarding staff, they were super friendly and helpful, in our experience. We initially had some debit card issues at check-in and admittedly, we should have been better-prepared for the credit card culture in North America. Thankfully, St. Regis were very flexible and our debit card issues were eventually resolved. I’m truly impressed by how accommodating St. Regis are for those of us who are from places that very rarely use credit cards. The offer of complimentary water at check-in was also appreciated. The housekeeping team, especially the Filipinos, were very thorough, kept our suite spotless and respected guest privacy. And on check-out experience, this is where St. Regis Toronto loses points for me. The check-out process took way longer than what is typically expected especially for a 5-star location (should be <10 min but took about 30 min for us). Unfortunately, a bit of the little time we have left in Toronto was wasted. What’s also disappointing was this time, there was no offer of complimentary drinks (even tap water, which is free and generally safe to drink in Toronto) while we wait. Admittedly, the staff seemed overwhelmed and visibly stressed during the time we were trying to check-out but I hope the situation improves for the St. Regis Toronto team in the future. On the atmosphere, it was magnificent and luxurious. These two words came to mind when we first entered the lobby. The grandiose look of Hotel St. Regis in Toronto permeated the whole building, from the hallways to our suite. In terms of our room, we booked the Grand Suite which was on the 28th floor and the views from up there, especially at night, were phenomenal. Our suite was very spacious and generally had plenty of storage room. St. Regis Toronto also loses some points here when it comes to storage since we found that there was insufficient storage space for cold items and there was no freezer either. The heated floors and the walk-in shower were also fantastic. The accent wall, mood lighting, clever use of marble for the room design and chandeliers were wonderful touches too, contributing to the luxurious atmosphere of this hotel. The living area of the Grand Suite was our favourite area, especially at night. I’m going to mention the views from the Grand Suite again as they were truly spectacular. On the online engagement. at the time of writing, I found the low level of engagement by St. Regis Toronto with online reviewers here at Google disappointing. I think the hotel should make more of an eff

Check-in was quick and courteous. When we got to the room, it was still being cleaned, which was kind of awkward, but she finished up quickly. We stayed in a corner suite with city views. Our room had a large soaking tub and a walk-in shower. It also had a second half-bathroom connected to the living room. There is a mini-bar and upcharged snacks provided. The furniture in the living room area was comfortable enough that you'd want to sit on it, and it was nice having an actual table to sit and eat at. Overall, it was a great stay, and we'd stay again. Pro's ~ Great customer service from all staff members ~Location, you can walk to basically anywhere you'd like to go and a short Uber away from places like the museums ~Housekeeping did great ~Bed was comfortable, firm but soft enough to relax ~Feather pillows can be traded out for firm ~Great water pressure and temperature. ~ Smart Light controls near the bed to control drapes/lights ~ Great quality tea and coffee in the rooms; amenities like shampoo and conditioner are great. Con's ~The room is very warm; we were not able to sleep the first night. After asking the front desk to check to see if they could override the temperature, it was still pretty warm. We asked for a fan, and they brought one to the room. This fixed the issue. ~ We were momentarily stuck in the elevator with it saying there were technical difficulties, but it eventually moved again. ~ For long stays, there's really nowhere to put your leftovers or warm them up. We would've saved more money if we had been able to store and heat our leftovers.
