We came with our two daughters and we had a great experience. There is a nice pool, a nice garden where you can enjoy a glass of wine. There is also a restaurant, we had dinner. They dont have a large variety of food but it was enough. The staff very helpful

Location meravigliosa, molto romantica. Cena per 2 persone: 2 calici di vino, 2 antipasti di cappesante, 2 secondi di seppie tiepide in insalata di frutta e verdura. Tutto buono però più di 90 euro. Veramente troppo! Il servizio è gentile ma non troppo attento.

Hotel well located, closed to Udine city. There is a free convenient parking. If you don’t have a car it is not very convenient to reach it. I just stayed one night during business trip. I booked a standard room. Basic amenities but clean. However it was not possible to lift the roller shutter. So not good if you want to spend some times in the room. There is a pool and spa service but I didn’t have time to use it. Breakfast is extra 9€ but good and with both sweet and salty options. Polite and nice receptionists. If you don’t care of pool and spa and you are on business trip maybe other options will be better.

I stayed with my husband a night in this beautiful structure, carefully treated in every detail and especially managed with great professionalism and attention. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable. The second floor room, without elevator (strictly pointed at the time of booking) is not a limit but a value added in a structure that maintains its structural characteristics (except the pool that The hotel is a place to return for the comfortable location in the city centre and for the experience of relaxation and friendly welcome!

We have been hosting this hotel for a few years, at the FEFF, where the design meets the historical structure. Both salty and sweet breakfast in the room with garden and pool views. Delightful staff. We asked for a High, Quiet Room with a Walk In Shower and that is, exactly what we got - Room 304 Wide selection of items at Breakfast. Super staff, after ordering an Espresso on the first morning, one was brought to me without asking each day Whilst I support the Greeks for trying to get their Elgin Marbles repatriated. I doubt the country of origin is asking for the offensive statues of black people by the fireplace in the Breakfast Room. In 2023 positively offensive. They should go. Hotel very well built but now looking tired. A major makeover needed. Drain for our Shower needs bleaching, very slow to drain away. Thanks all for a lovely stay. 5 nights with Riviera and their lovely Courier, Agnes. Hayling Seagoon

Stayed 3 nights. Hotel is well located overlooking Piazza XX Settembre. Our room on first floor could have been noisy, due to morning market in the square, but the double glazing was reasonably effective and anyway we are used to street noise at home. The room was not large, but comfortable. The aircon worked. There is a decent breakfast, and a restaurant, which looked ok but we didn’t use. The staff are efficient. The public spaces are large. The clientele seemed to be mainly business oriented,. There was a large party of travel agents when we were there. There is a hotl garage a few yards away.

I stayed here three nights during a recent vacation in Italy. While the hotel is a little far from the center, taxis were readily available, and made travel easy. The hotel is well-maintained and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast was especially good and reasonably priced. I don’t believe the hotel has a swimming pool or a fitness room which is a drawback, but it is well located near an excellent restaurant. I would definitely stay here again. FromDKK 604

Arrived at the store at 9 pm, but no one received it. It is said that the hotel actually has 4 rooms, and the door with a code lock is more like a homestay. I found a small assistant from Trip.com. After contacting, I said that the front desk was off work at 8:30, but I didn't inform in advance and didn't leave any notice. Wait until 9:30 to be called to inform the unlock password to enter the room.
Good location and complete facilities. The room is spacious. The service is really bad.

The hotel is lovely. Super clean with modern amenities. Situated in the heart of the old city surrounded by restaurants, bars, shopping, culture and locals. This city is a hidden gem! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They made restaurant recommendations and reservations for us with a smile. The hotel was full, but we never heard a sound from others. The shower was amazing! Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a 2 hour tour from a local guide (Tourist Info site) for only €15,00 each! Highly recommend. The parking was easy and only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Many grocery stores nearby. Very secure building with an elevator. Great location, great hotel, great staff. 5 Stars! Would definitely stay with them, again!FromDKK 969

I came here for the Udine far east film festival. The hotel is around 1km from train station and 2km from teatro nurvo. Which is quite easy to get on foot. The hotel have breakfast provided with boiled eggs and fruits and cornflakes corrisant. ..for the price I paid I'm satisfied. I recommend the gelato shop next to hotel and there is a coin laundry conveniently located next to hotel. Generally speaking the hotel staff are nice.FromDKK 306

The first contact with Mrs. Maria Svarc, head of the booking office of the Hotel Principe in Udine took place by mail on 12.01.2022, when I asked for a reservation of nine rooms for 21.04.2022. The affirmative reply arrived immediately. After the booking, the details of my credit card were sent to Ms Svarc. One week before the start of the trip, Ms Svarc informed me that my credit card was not valid and that I have either to give another credit card or transfer the money, because otherwise she will have to cancel our booking. Immediately a friend stepped in and his card details were sent. Ms Svarc refused this card as well and insisted on a bank transfer. The transfer was made on Good Friday but was obviously delayed by the bank internally due to the Easter holidays. On the 20th of April, while cycling in the middle of the Canal Valley, I received a call from Ms Svarc, that the money had not arrived and that she will therefore cancel the booking, as there are always crooks working with tricks. This prejudice shocked us very much! All of us in the group are serious people with university or business backgrounds, and none of us needs to take advantage on anything. Apart from that, all our credit cards worked the whole week in all other hotels without any problems. In the afternoon, we sent to Ms Svarc the details of a third credit card, which she again did not accept. I asked the hotel owner in Gemona to call her and confirm that the cycling group existed, that there were no problems with the payment and that we wanted to claim the rooms at the Hotel Principe the next day. Still on 21.04. in the morning a friend from Udine had to make a telephone call to Mrs. Svarc to confirm our seriousness. It may be that such a strict way of dealing with customers is desired by the hotel management, but this way of dealing with us by Ms Svarc is utterly unacceptable for us. Cercando on-line durante il viaggio non è stato facile trovare con una cagnolina (visto anche le diverse segnalazione false su alcuni portali)ma in questa struttura ci hanno risposto positivamente con una soluzione perfetta per noi. Accoglienza ottima, parcheggio custodito, camera ampia pulita con accessori per la nostra piccola Lucy a disposizione, buona qualità del sonno, aria condizionata ampio bagno e colazione ben organizzata ricca con prodotti per ogni gusto il tutto ad un prezzo veramente onesto. I think the management deliberately choose 3 over 4 stars hotel. With small ”improvements” it could easily be a 4 star. Hotel is located a couple of minute walking distance from center of the city and parking is free and vast. Nevertheless l would like to mention two things. First the check-in. The only info we got at the check-in was ”the room in on third floor”. And thats it. Never experienced something like this in all my life. Ever. The second is breakfast. The staff is quite friendly and options to choose from at the buffett table are ok. But.. The staff is making so much noise Inside the kitchen talking and joking that you have issues hearing your own thoughts. Quite unconfortable and something to address to. FromDKK 507
