I usually stay over at the hotel Monday to Friday for business visits in their standard basic rooms. So one could say I have had a lengthy experience with the hotel and their service. The rooms are spotless! Thoroughly cleaned! Check in and check out is hassle free. The rooms have everything you need from an iron, hairdryer to operational AC. Most importantly, I would like to focus on their high levels of perfect customer service the reception staff provide every visit! 2 incredible members of staff and their outstanding customer service skills really stood out to me! Victoria: An absolutely friendly and bubbly member of staff went out of her way to offer me access to her own gym membership following the temporary closure of the hotels gym. She went out of her way to make my stay incredibly pleasant! She truly deserves a raise for her genuine smile and impeccable customer service! I hope INNSIDE by Melia recognises her as a true asset to their company! It’s not everyday a member of staff thinks outside the box and offers a solution from her personal life to provide a great service at work! Joaquin: This gentleman resolved an issue with my door swiftly and efficiently. It wouldn’t close and I had to rush off to work! He reassured me it would be fixed in my absence and it was! No need to switch rooms or anything! He resolved the issue without any hasstle for me. I feel like I am able to trust the hotels customer service a lot more because of him! Again 2 incredible members of staff I hope are recognised by Melia for their genuine work for the hotel!

The Melia is my favourite hotel in Liverpool. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and have amazing views. The breakfasts are lovely and if any items are low the staff are fast to replenish them, I enquired about the hash browns and the lady brought them over to my table as soon as they were cooked. One downside is the room service, it is advertised as being 24/7; however, on both occasions that I've attempted to order it has never been easy. The first time we were told that the chef had failed to prepare the food so it was unavailable and the second time only two sandwiches were available. Both instances of attempting to order room service have been at a weekend and it is a service they offer, so we would expect them to be available. Additionally, the sky bar is awful, we were seated immediately, yet we waited 30 minutes for someone to take our order and still no one came so we left. Overall, it is a lovely hotel and all the staff are very friendly, but there is room for improvement.
