I love my first stay at NIPPONIA, former 々, and an inn that has been renovated from an old private house, so take this opportunity. .. .. I asked, but the room and service were very disappointing, and I thought hard to stop going to the NIPPONIA series in the future. I stayed in the SEIGAKU building. The renovated warehouse is large and has a high ceiling, but there are only two small windows above, so you can't see the view at all. There is also a porch, but it is surrounded by a fence and eaves, and you can't see the outside at all from here. There is a feeling of blockage. There is a space on the porch that can be called a garden, but only weeds are growing. Until now, I have stayed at as many inns as 5 renovated old folk houses and warehouses, but I have the impression that the renovation costs less than any inn. There is WiFi, but the room without a TV, no Bluetooth connection speaker, and the outside appearance is disappointing. The refrigerator is small like a business hotel, and there is no freezer, so I think it is inconvenient for those who need ice. Of course, there is no service to carry ice at night. Amenities were not particularly noteworthy. Even though it is a holiday fee, it is about 90000 yen with breakfast per night. The inn, which is a renovated old folk house where I stayed before, does not set such a high price even if it has a kitchen, a washing machine, and a garden. I wonder where it was worth it (even in Kyoto). Also, the service was the worst. Even though the price is higher than a luxury hotel, the staff gave the impression that they were doing their best to do their work, probably because the service was operated by the smallest number of people with services below a business hotel. The bus introduced on the website may be suspended, so if you ask about access to the hotel before staying, you will be guided to the suspended bus as it is, or if you ask the restaurants in the area, Multiple restaurants were introduced. After arriving at the hotel, I met the reception staff and was confirmed that I had luggage, but I didn't know. The explanation of the inn is also said to be Long 々 sitting opposite, but there is no welcome drink. Check-in was at 15:00, and even after the cleaning was finished, there was no guidance, and it was explained that it was such a rule. For breakfast, choose a start at 7:30 or 8:30. The breakfast time is decided exactly instead of the concept of staying slowly over time (there is no clock or TV in the room for that reason). I also used the cafe in the GEISHO building. It costs 1000 yen for shaved ice alone and 800 yen for coffee. I was able to relax while looking at the cityscape and tourists. I was surprised to use the bathroom, but I wondered if I hadn't cleaned it for at least 3 days. (I can't write in detail, but I also noticed dust that seemed to accumulate for several days.) It seems that the bad things continue, and I encountered Go ◯◯ Ri in the room, and the fish for breakfast on the second day was raw. , i was disappointed. . .

I went to the anniversary. There is such a place in Chiba! To be honest, the sightseeing range is narrow. However, the elegant cityscape that doesn't bother you much is photogenic. The hotel is really great too! There are many young staff, but they were solid and a really pleasant and polite response. The room is also wonderful and the Japanese modern with a renovated warehouse. The concept of not putting a TV or a clock makes you forget your daily life. But I want a Bluetooth speaker. The food is also satisfactory! However, I wish I could be more sophisticated, such as presentation. I want to go again! I want to stay!

It is right next to Sabara Station and is outstanding as a base for sightseeing. There are also seven eleven nearby. It was a very beautiful hotel, and the room was small but there was a sofa, so I could relax. However, personally, the bed was hard and the blanket felt heavy. In the breakfast buffet, disinfection was placed at the entrance as a countermeasure against corona, and vinyl gloves were handed over. The dishes were rich and all were delicious. The public bath had enough space in the washroom and it was good to be able to use without worrying about others. It is a recommended hotel for Sabara sightseeing.

It is a stable route inn. Convenience stores are also nearby in front of Sabara Station, and I think it is a perfect location for business use. This time I used it for sightseeing purposes, but access to the traditional preservation district was good, and I was able to sightsee on foot after parking at the hotel parking lot. The cleanliness is high because the facilities are new, but it seems to be a route inn, whether good or bad, and the texture is not high. I don't want to be there in the first place. The staff was also polite and helpful and satisfactory.

I used it with my family. There aren't many triple bedrooms, so I was able to book this hotel at a low price and was saved. As you said, the parking system was complicated, but the room and bath were clean and the food was delicious and comfortable. I still want to use it.
- Guest User
It was very reasonable and good with breakfast. This amount is at all. However, one unfortunate thing is that the parking lot is small. It wasn't a late check-in, but there was a parking lot away. It was already full.

Thank you for two days in April. Despite the high outside temperature, the room temperature was set to 29 degrees Celsius, and it was hot when I entered the room, but it was not air-conditioned due to centralized management, but the front desk responded immediately, but it was air-conditioned. Not i was. Also, it was said that there was a construction of hot water supply facilities until 22:00 and the bath could not be used, but the front desk responded immediately and it was available after 18:00. I had trouble about 2 times, but I didn't feel stress though there was a problem because the front desk responded. Thank you.

This is the most perfect bnb in the most perfect location. It’s small and intimate and you are made to feel valued as a guest. The room was really comfortable, immaculately clean. Lovely bathroom with really lovely toiletries. Now onto the breakfast 🤩 this is the jewel in the crown. Cereals, yoghurt, fruit, seeds, bread, crostinis, cold meats, cheese, olives, tomatoes, eggs, sausage, mushrooms. It really is above and beyond. Perfect for fuelling up before a big walk.

Came up for a meet up with friends for some walking on the surrounding fells. Arrived about four and the carpark was full and like an ice rink. Waited a few minutes and thankfully some day walkers on their last day came and took their cars away. Checked in and happily I was in the main house. The rest of the group was already there and so it was odd for drinks and food. It's been a few years since I've been to this hostel as my Wainwright journey has had me in different areas. Looks like the communal areas have had a fresh paint job which has brightened up the building. Had breakfast twice which was excellent. Made my own on the last morning and the smaller kitchen was in desperate need of a mixing bowl. Other than that no issues. All in all a great stay and I look forward to another visit in March. Hopefully room 7 is my room again on that visit.

Stayed two nights in the ”Cosy room.” Room was abit small but lovely and well presented, although I felt the room it's self wasn't fully cleaned. Their was a few cob webs on the ceilings, quite abit of rubbish under the bed and the shower had abit of mould on the sealant around the shower door. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of variety and polite and friendly waiters.

The location of the hotel is average. Have their own garden, the room is quite large, dinner should be booked in advance, asking for a window. Service is too good, 15 minutes walk from Lake Grasmere.

The hotel is old-fashioned and the breakfast variety is not rich enough. The hotel is on the side of the road and the car is noisy.

Booked this two night break in November 2021. Did originally have the Christmas break booked but due to ill health had to cancel. When we booked we picked a particular room as we had been the year before and liked that room. When we checked in were given a different room, when questioned were told can not have that room somebody has been in it for the last two nights. No choice but to accept the room. The room itself was very nice on first entering. When entering the bathroom found black mould around the front of the bath, not what I would expect when paying so much for the two nights. In the bedroom a dent in the wall, looked like somebody punched it! Wallpaper all scuffed in one corner. Dusting not carried out on items around the room and looked like it had not been done for sometime. The following day did speak to the Manager about the room change, he checked booking and room choice was on booking. Offered dinner and a bottle of wine, which was very nice. On returning to room and using the loo this then broke down. Reported this and was told somebody would be up to inspect. Went out for the day on returning to room loo still not fixed, not very good to have water running for over five hours. Reported again was then fixed. Following morning at 6.30pm loo broke again my Husband had to go down two floors to use the hotel ones. Reported again. We stayed at this Hotel last year and everything was perfect. We were so disappointed this time with the changed to the room and the state of the room. The staff in the Restaurant and bar area are all very good and these are the people that made the stay enjoyable for us this time. Sad to say we will not be retuning. Some people may think I am being picky about some of the things in this review but we paid over £600 for this two night break and we expect thing to be better than this.

1. Location, the hotel is just by the lake, but it is a 30-minute drive from Windermere, and it is far from the Lake District. 2. Some rooms can accommodate an extra bed, 15 pounds a day, including breakfast. 3, the hotel is large and has a lot of parking spaces. 4. The meal is great, classic English. 5, the hotel toiletries are good, is the British Royal Development Supplies MB, the bathroom's heating rack is open in the summer, the towel will be done overnight. Absolutely perfect stay. We booked “Holly” a wonderful ground floor room, tastefully decorated and furnished with a comfy bed and small pine table and chairs. Really stylish modern large shower room. We’ve never taken our dog to stay in accommodation before but felt at ease straight away. There was enough room for his bed and we’d brought our own bed cover just in case he jumped on our bed, but there were fleeces rolled up ready to use for doggy guests. We own our own holiday let and know how much thought and effort goes into ensuring guests are comfortable and have an enjoyable time. I can safely say Lake View is perfect. We felt really welcomed, it was a lovely and warm, quiet and comfortable stay and we’ll definitely be back! As always we read previous reviews and have to admit having a chuckle at the negative ones for Lake View. Honestly it’s about 2 mins flat from the most delicious breakfast at the Sport Inn. We’d recommend you book a table in advance for an evening meal to avoid disappointment, easy to do online. There’s a parking space with the room which is brilliant considering how much parking is at a premium in the village. Do take advantage of the location for walks too, you won’t be disappointed. (Deleted our original review and reposted because somehow it had it as 4 stars not 5 and Lake View and it’s owners thoroughly deserve a 5)
