Travelodge in Le Grande offers a fine, comfortable stay at low cost. The lodge is clean, the staff is helpful, the location is central. When one is hungry a good, standard american dinner restaurant is available next door, with Mexican across the street (haven't eaten there). Excellent morning coffee at The Local, a short drive with gluten-free offerings, and Hot Lake natural hot springs a 10-minute drive - which is how we come to be in the Travelodge overnight. There are more costly hotels available in town...
Before make a reservation please go to google earth to watch how bad this property is. They post pothoshops pictures to fool and attract costumers on the Web. We pay $ 149 for a room (#29) on September 15/23 expecting to have a pleasant stay, instead we got a small dirty old room filled with cracked furniture and two old dirty bed and beddings. After killing a big roach in the bathroom at midnight we wandering around all night without being able to have a much needed rest after driving 7 hours. The room was located on the back alley 20 meters across from a abandoned junkyard. This Hotel should not be allowed to be open to the public!!! I did take pictures, but this site doesn’t allow to post them. Don’t make the mistake we made trusting what they post, check on Google Earth before you make a reservation because you will be waste money and will have a terrible experience.
