Where to start… from arrival the reception staff is not at all happy, receptive or pleasant. Very few people in the hotel really make you feel welcome and at ease. Of the 5 people you pass to get to your room, maybe one or two say good morning or say hello. The room is completely full of humidity since it does not have integral air or windows, the air does not circulate and it also has an unpleasant smell thanks to the poor plumbing system in which every time you use the bathroom you have the entire room with an unbearable smell. We complained and of course they did nothing about it. The bath water is practically sea water, excessively salty. We had to ask for an executive refrigerator because apparently it is not normal to have it in the rooms and it was the only thing they responded for. As for the rest, all the requests I made for the room were never answered (ice, shower cap, etc.) The breakfast is super poor, apart from being the worst coffee I had in my life (I don't pay for a 5 hotel). stars for a poor service that I enjoy much more at home) on two occasions it came to me with hair. On top of that I have to bring my own Splenda because they keep hiding it instead of adding it as part of the service. And if you want a decent coffee they charge you separately. The food looks like it had been reheated for a week, everything was dry and stiff. Apart from that the variety is really limited. The innkeepers are eager to gossip about the guests instead of providing good service. Wi-Fi is practically non-existent. The TV in the room is minimal. There is no one on staff who speaks English. The pool area is completely dead, it doesn't really make you want to be there. In my 1 week stay I was not there even once. It is not a hotel where you feel on vacation or invites you to relax and enjoy. It is not a hotel that deserves to have 5 stars. Terrible experience. If it weren't for the location or the fact of having the beach in front, there really is nothing to rescue.
Excellent hotel, with a wonderful location, super attentive staff always aware of the clients' needs, the workers at the buffet restaurant were the best, especially Henry, the views from the room were incredible, the beach club was a true gem, everything was very clean, super delicious food, very varied breakfasts, in short if you want to have the best experience on the beautiful island of Margarita I recommend the Tibisay hotel, we hope to return soon.
