I am a Sri Lankan expat from US, fairly well travelled in this segment of Sri Lankan boutique hotels. This was however my first time staying at Maniumpathy, as I typically stay with family when I'm in Colombo. This heritage boutique hotel is everything it's touted to be and more. I stayed for 4 nights with my dad who is 92 yrs and we had the most peaceful stay with customer service of the highest caliber, second to none. We also took this opportunity to host friends and family for dinner on all 4 nights anywhere up to 12 people. The staff who was extremely friendly, yet very professional in every sense, helped us plan these dinners so that my dad & I had a novel experience with each dinner. Front desk receptionist Ms. Arjumath, our house keeper Arjana & our butler Sanath Kuruppu deserve special mention. They truly are great ambassadors for Maniumpathy. I should also mention Shannon & Koshitha, the on site mangement team who worked with me from before our arrival to make our stay extra special and accomadated a few special requests of ours. We definitely look forward to staying at Maniumpathy during my future visits back home.

We were fortunate to be treated to lunch at the Indian Ocean Pavilion Restaurant The setting is stunning with views across the Galle Face Green towards the Indian Ocean. Range of seating options are available as befitting a restaurant of this calibre. The food was both varied and sumptuous. OD special note, quite obviously were the range of Indian delicious. Cooked to perfection with the perfect balance of spice and heat without detracting from the main ingredient of the dish. The Sri Lankan offering was also varied and well presented International offerings were more limited but what was presented was good The dessert offering was absolutely world class, in variety, presentation, innovation and quality Service however was mixed given the high standards expected. The entrance /reception at the restaurant could be better managed/trained, while food and drinks service had to be searched for on a day when the restaurant was not fully booked The service of the staff at the reception area however was of the highest standard of both honesty and training. I had left behind my wallet at the seating area at reception prior to joining our hosts for lunch. It was only after lunch that we discovered the missing walllet. More in hope than expectation we traced our steps back to reception to inquire. Was very pleased and relieved to note that the wallet had been found by the staff / contents, itemised /noted by the staff and promptly handed over Full marks and many thanks Suresh, Pasan, Rifas, Zaid and Rukshan

Stayed in the hotel together with my son from 25.01.2024 to 28.01.2024 They were pleasantly surprised by the modern interior and purity of the hotel, as well as the kindness of the staff. Very beautiful lobby with live music every evening! A fantastic restaurant with a magnificent Swedish table for dinner, where you can try both fresh seafood and national cuisine. A very pleasant open pool on the 6th floor, where you can enjoy both the ocean view and the city. Spacious modern rooms. Special thanks to the charming girl Darje - the guests' manager. Thank you for professionalism, for kindness, for the ability to solve all guest issues quickly and clearly, and also for the interesting communication! We will definitely return here again!
