Came here for a one-night stay on my first trip to Japan. The accommodations and location were lovely, but that's not why I'm writing this review. While riding bikes, my passport fell out of my pocket. When I realized this the next morning, the owner went above and beyond to help us get it back. He called the police station, informed us that someone had turned in my passport, and even drove me there to pick it up without being asked. Getting my passport back would have been far more difficult without his help, so I'm writing this as thanks. He didn't have to go so far out of his way to help us, but he did anyway and it saved us a lot of headache. ほんとうにありがとうございました!

Very dirty, disgusting toilet, decayed, ultra thin futon, rubber foam, maybe 20 years old, no curtain therefore very soon light in the morning, stains and scratches all over the place, torn sheets/linen, very small, hard pillow ( filled with beans), no slippers, people walked bare feet or in socks, extremely small onsen ( max 4 ladies with legs extended), loud both from other rooms and street, food edible mildly spoken, second dinner was ok, in the morning (8.15am) there were leftovers and used dishes on the table next to ours, upon check out I found 300 yen for a cup of coffee I had asked for for breakfast. We paid over 80.000Yen, 2 persons, two nights/ half board for a rabbit hole. Over the years we’d stayed at quite a few old ryokans, but this one is unbeatable low in every respect. I’ve left a complaint at Japanican.
