We really enjoyed the location. If it had not been for the location, we would have been very disappointed. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very nice young lady at the desk. When we got to our room we were presented with outdated decor/furniture and a not so clean room. The carpet did not appear to be vacuumed. There were pepperonis, olives, medicine tablet and other crumbs on the floor. The room was dusty and just didn’t smell clean. No soap was provided in the room. We were only provided with one bottle of shampoo and one bottle of conditioner. Sheets seemed clean so we were happy to have a clean bed. We asked the nice lady at the front desk if someone could please vacuum our room. She sent someone up and gave us soap. Upon our return the medicine tablet was still on the floor so I imagine the vacuuming wasn’t very thorough. The bartender on site was very friendly and the staff providing breakfast was also friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed a carriage ride in town and had dinner at biscuits and blues. The area is quite pleasant. We will return to Natchez but will likely find alternate accommodations.

Just spent the weekend at The Natchez Grand Hotel. What a gem. Room was great, breakfast downstairs, mini eats & treats in the lobby. Peaceful & quiet. Staff was very nice. Can’t wait to go back! Right on the waterfront, gorgeous views. Walking distance to boutique shops, antiquing on Franklin and great places to eat. And walked to the ******!! Rained all weekend but didn’t care-enjoyed walking (when we could) and driving around. The houses and mansions and buildings are just gorgeous. The town is just beautiful and immaculate! They’re doing a beautiful job of preserving the past for the future! This would make a great vaca, but was the perfect weekend getaway!! Like I said going back-see you soon!

Reviews From Real Travelers
We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly from the beginning. The room was very cleaned and sanitized. Breakfast was great. My husband enjoyed the homemade grits. I was very happy with the clean bathroom, less work for me. It was cleaned better than most 5 star hotels I have stayed at. Our TV didn’t work the first night but was resolved quickly the next morning. Also love the friendliness of the breakfast staff.

I gave this hotel two stars because the staff was very nice and accommodating, and the room was very nice and clean when we checked in. After that it was downhill. Housekeeping never came back to our room our entire stay, we had to get towels from the front desk. The first morning the breakfast was good, after that, there was never any food when I went down between 7:30am and 8:00am. I was always told there was more coming in a few minutes, but each time after waiting 30 minutes I would give up and get a cold muffin with lukewarm coffee. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best. It looked like it was an older hotel and the walls were so thin, we could hear the people talking like they were in our room. I will definitely never stay there again.

Reviews From Real Travelers
This stay was difficult to rate. It is a beautiful building with large rooms. The view of the river is outstanding; the rooms feature large windows. Doors open directly from the lobby onto the Vidalia river walk, which should not be missed. We enjoyed the stay. However, one of the elevators was out of order. The first room we were assigned had a cooling unit that was very loud, and the window was fogged. The receptionist was quite responsive and changed our room, and this new room was fine. Then we learned that the hotel wifi was out. Fortunately there was excellent cell reception, so we could use a phone as a hotspot. The hotel breakfast was outstanding, and there were no failures there. Conclusion: It’s a great spot, but be prepared for some things not to be working.

Wonderful surprise find to get a great ”late in the day” rate, but with a view of the Mississippi river to boot! It was not crowded at all, we commented on the beauty of the river, and the desk clerk changed us to a river view room without our knowledge! I did not get her name but it was late afternoon with ”rhartl” on the receipt. Super helpful with suggestions on where to eat. The rooms could use a fresh coat of paint and some brighter lighting, but the overall stay was fine. The view and the friendliness of the people made up for anything else.

Stayed here to go on steam train trip .sundown festival on so hotel full and unable to offer upgrade.still got a pitch side room platinumihg membercharming helpful staff unable to give 5 stars as did not have any meals.also when we last stayed here 15 years ago I noted a design fault in the bathroom the soap and shampoo dispensers are very high on the wall for the shower and people using bath cannot reach them without standing and have no separate soap.this increases risk of slipping however this is still a nice hotel with easy access to the railway station.I think this is now the nicest of Kew greens holiday inns in Norwich

Noise from street outside window until 3.30am, shortly followed by traffic noise, so we got very little sleep! Our 'Heritage' room had neither beams nor a fireplace (as described on website) and was small and awkwardly shaped, with much of the room being taken up by a freestanding bathtub so that the wardrobe was crammed against a wall on the opposite side. The room was unwelcoming to say the least. When we mentioned the street noise on checking out, we were told to ask for a quiet room next time.....there will not be a next time. We booked directly with the hotel and were not told anything about street noise. A fridge with a loud hum was placed on top of a small table next to the wardrobe. Breakfast was adequate but poached eggs were hard. Not a wonderful experience.

I stayed here when I was on a business trip in Norwich. The environment is great. It's just a manor hotel. The facilities are too old. The floor is creaky. The facilities in the room are very old. The third and fourth tier hotels in China are better than this. If you are a pretentious person, forget it. The environment is still very good. The air is very fresh. The breakfast is also OK. Anyway, it's just an ordinary British meal.

We were delighted with this hotel. Parking with my blue badge was easy and close to reception. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were pleased with the layout and spaciousness of our room.Decor is good, and we had very pleasant meals in the conservatory. We are light eaters and found what we wanted by using the illustrated tablets provided by the staff. We did have a problem, though. As I was pleased with the service for the evening meals I left a tip each time and it was only after I checked the bill at home that I found gratuities had been added. We were not advised of this and saw no advice of it on the tablet menus. A shame - until then we were very happy. It doesn't stop us going again but we shall leave no tips!

I cannot understand the negative remarks regarding this hotel, I very much enjoyed my 4 night stay in this imposing hotel. Bedroom attractively decorated and, the Hotel Grail for solo travellers, a king size bed with a sparkling clean modern en-suite. All staff were extremely helpful and approachable, and if you needed extra coffee, etc reception would readily refill immediately. Food throughout was well cooked with some interesting items not usually found on mass catering menus. Given that while i was there, there were 3 coach parties and 2/3 conferences the kitchen deserves a medal Only problem was the dining room at breakfast which is an extremely well stocked buffet, so much choice. I have arthritis and walk with a stick and unfortunately there were stairs between the food and allocated seating area which I negotiated awkwardly with one hand on bannister and stick in other hand. No hands for food. Ladies serving coffee kindly came to my rescue, but it would have been so much easier and less embarrassing for me if a table on the same level as the food had been allocated. My thanks to all staff.

Location: The hotel is in a mixed residential/commercial area of Norwich, its quiet and feels safe. The hotel is a short walk from The Riverside for restaurants, bars, cinema, etc. and close to local pub etc. it is a short walk from the station. There is no onsite parting - the street parking has daytime restriction. Facilities: There is a card secured front door and reception desk which is not 24hr. There is an onsite Indian restaurant. I didn't use it but it looked good. There is also a bar. The hotel offers a number of guest services such as a luggage locker, laundry etc. The public areas of the hotel are clean, well maintained, etc. The room: I had room 2 on the gorund floor. This was clean, spacious, and well equipped. So pleased to have a proper wardrobe! There was a tray of stuff such as fruit juice and biscuits. There is a small room safe also. There is an en suite shower room which was modern, clean and worked great. The bed was firm and comfortable. The linen was fresh. I like the characterful decor Service: Everyone at the hotel was friendly, professional and helpful. I was prepaid booking so I didn't need to do a full check in/out. Everything seemed organised and efficient. My only gripe was that the people in the next room to me were noisy at 5am interupting my sleep and had the TV on very loud. Oh well, an earlier start than expected! Thats just bad luck I guess. I would recommend this hotel and I will stay here again next time I am in Norwich.

I often use Premier Inn hotels, but the 3 night stay I've just had stay at Norwich Duke Street didn't come up to my expectations. Our room was far too warm, even with the window open and the provided pedestal fan running constantly. I mentioned this to the chap in reception when checking out this morning and I was told that this is known problem with the building which customers frequently complain about, even in the winter. He went on to say that the they put portable air conditioners in the premier plus rooms and suggested that next time I book one of these. I don't think this is an acceptable answer. Why should I have to pay extra to be comfortable when there is a known issue with the temperature of the rooms?

As soon as we walked in it was brilliant, all the staff were lovely, particularly the young girl on the reception and the restaurant manager. The room was lovely and clean, with great air conditioning. We had a dinner, bed and breakfast package, they have a QR code ordering system which means you order, pay and food or drinks come to the table. Seems a great idea at this time with all the staff shortages. It was funny as I, by accident ordered 2 bottles of wine, but the staff were lovely and helped me out. They even gave us a side order instead of a starter which they didn’t have to. The food was good and very hot. My friend used the pool which she said was very good but there were no towels there at 07.00 hours. Breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from and the hot buffet was actually very hot. We would definitely recommend this place

Booked here for a trip to the theatre which turned out to be a 10 minute walk from hotel perfect if weather permits. Rooms are clean with a large comfortable bed. Parking was free with plenty of spaces. We returned after theatre at 10.45 to be told the bar will be closing at 11pm but more people were arriving so the lady on reception continued to serve whilst preparing for the following mornings breakfast. Breakfast was good but ordered from a menu not a buffet style. All things considered a good choice for a weekend trip to Norwich.

We booked here to attend our daughter's graduation at UEA. Me, my husband and our son stayed in the blue room and it was beautiful. The room was huge with a massive four poster bed, a single bed and a sofa. The beds were incredibly comfy and the owners were very accommodating in providing non feather bedding. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were provided in the bathroom. A good selection of tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolate were supplied along with bottles of water and a mini fridge. We were also given a jug of fresh milk on arrival. As our daughter has decided to remain in Norwich, we will most definitely be returning each time we visit. Due to the current food price hikes, the breakfast is now continental but the choice was more than enough: pastries, yoghurts, fruit, cereals and freshly cooked toast.
