so. me and my parents went 10 years ago when I was really young. so we thought why not go again with my two sisters this time. we were kind of spectacal first if the food was going to be still good and it was it was so good so many options if you're vegan or vegetarian you having nothing to worry about I don’t why people are so dramatic on the reviews the food is so good. But I do have to say about the hotel itself, it is very dated so I think it need some work done bc we got a little bit bored now and again bc the pool didn’t have a slide or anything yes they do have a pool which is new but it goes into the toddler pool which is really annoying bc the older kids want to have fun on the slide but there are little kids everywhere they have also turned one if there pools/hotels into one only tui guest can go idk how to explain it. Which is a bit annoying but that also means the people who booked there can’t go in the two other pools. Anyway, the apartments which we stayed in have a pool of there own which we went in a lot bc it really quiet. Now the staff. The staff are really nice but there are some grumpy and rude staff. A couple of staff, mostly elderly people, are really grumpy and inpatient. The manager I’m guessing of the spa pools were really rude just bc we didn’t know that we had to pay for the big spa pool but no one stopped us to check if we had a wristband for that pool so it was really there fault. I’m not going into detail of what he’s said but he was basically jsut mocking my mum. Anyway it was only a couple of people who were a bit rude but the rest were so nice. The entertainment was good and some nights you would get activities or snacks like cottons candy and a bouncy castle slide thing. We stayed here for 10 days afn did have a lot to do outside too. The beach is so near like 3 min walk not even that. There’s a aqua which is cool but there’s such long queues just to warn you. There’s a market with nice gifts you can get for people back home x that’s all. Sorry that it’s long. But this place was really good 👍 enjoy if you are going to visit 😁
Have only a few days left but felt a few points to raise for those thinking of booking. Location is great, lovely but busy beach really safe for kids. Plenty of decent places to eat along the front only few minutes walk and a good supermarket very close by. We came AI 2016 and loved it but our son was 4 at that time. We are bed and breakfast (thankfully as it turns out) Each time I tried eggs they were cold, staff uninterested when told. Meat items also often cold. Juice only for AI guests. Usual fruit etc (just help yourself bowls) usual 4 star have it laid out but that’s probably just an expectation. Main negative for us is literally no balls/lilos/toys/no diving allowed in any of the pools. Flotation aids are only exception. Enforced very strictly. Not exactly family friendly. It is for us a massive disappointment because other than a snorkel mask what can our 12 year old do in the pool. Apartments are tired definitely not 4 star. Poor dated decor. Paint work on (great sized) balcony dirty and needs re-doing. Phone wire out of wall, tv doesn’t work (although not a problem as not here to watch tv) We are in top floor so beware 2 big flights of stairs to lift your cases up would be a nightmare with a pram as no lift access for apartments. Bedroom so plain and basic. Only mirror is bathroom mirror. Floor tile in room cracked, maintenance aware but not yet fixed after a few days. Air con only works in lounge of our 1 bed apartment, we had to purchase a fan for 20 euros, also no kettle unless you pay 20 euros. We chose to hire an iron again 20 euros. All with a 10 euro deposit. Staff are pleasant enough. Caught end of queen tribute and they were great. A good base but the overall standard of accommodation would prevent me from booking here again. If am sure there are other more family friendly options nearby. Train to Barcelona from Tarragona 1 hr 20mins

The best 4* hotel I've ever stayed in. The whole of the hotel looks like it's had a full re modernisation. Everything very clean, fresh and modern. Booked the cheapest standard room and it was great. View of the beach from balcony, comfy beds, fabulous rain shower with a smaller hand held shower. Air con is excellent. Great idea that your wristband also contains your room access key. Very helpful, hard working staff throughout. Spotlessly clean everywhere thanks to the cleaning team. Food was excellent. Not masses of choice, but very good quality and we always found something we liked. There are usually 2 chefs who will cook food of your choice on the griddle which was very good. The weekly gala dinner was outstanding. Tables were cleared super quick ready for the next guests. Pool area was small but we always found a sunbed and there are toilets and showers. There's also a shaded area when you need a break from the sun! The pool is more suited to adults and not children. There is a lovely bar with different areas of seating practically on the beach! The hotel has a really good evening entertainment programme with live acts, it gets very busy! The hotel is situated in the quite area of La Pineda but there are lots of lovely Spanish bars and restaurants very close by. There are lots of shops and there are bus stops nearby. We caught the bus to Cambrils, Salou and Tarragona. Taxi to Reus airport is approx €30-€33 each way. There is a very flat promenade that goes for miles along the beach at the rear of the hotel. Great for wheelchairs, prams, cycling or just a 10 minute stroll into the busier part of La Pineda. Thank you Hotel Terramarina for a wonderful stay. Can't wait to come back. Amanda

We stayed at the Best Terramarina last week, what a wonderful experience, all the staff were very helpful and always greeted us with a lovely smile The food was out of this world, with three chefs on duty every night The bar staff were very cheerful and were running around serving the many tables, the rooms were huge and spotlessly clean, the housekeepers greeted us every morning, being 10 feet from the beach was fantastic The reception staff helped us get taxi's and were wonderful every day the high level of staff, spotless hotel and fantastic rooms made this our dream holiday We are already looking to return next year

Where do I start….We visited El Paso around 9 years ago prior to having children with my family and we all had an excellent holiday! So I didn’t have any apprehensions about booking early this year to take my 2 children (3 & 1) . As it got closer to the time I saw some reviews and started to panic as we hadn’t had a bad word to say about the hotel but wondered had it gone down hill?? Needless to say we went with an open mind and there was no need for any worry at all!! One of the only reasons I haven’t given 5 stars was the check in. We arrived at 11am and check in took my husband around an hour (I think this was more other people maybe faffing around a bit as when he actually got to the counter he was there 5 minutes and it was done) but it took us 3 separate occasions of going up to ask if the room was ready at 3pm before we could actually get in. There are lockers you can put you’re luggage in for €10 but there was no way ours would of fit in 1 so we didn’t fancy spending €20 !! So we hung around the reception for 4 hours (a beautiful reception) but with 2 children we found we were having to juggle one person staying with the luggage and the other entertaining the children. Check in aside the rest of the holiday was all we could of asked for! Room : We had requested a quiet room and we had been put the other side of the pool away from all the bars which was perfect…the room was beautiful. Bunk beds for our 3year old which he loved (although the top bunk is not safe for a younger child as the side very easily comes off!) but this didn’t effect us as we had a cot for our 1 year old. The room has everything you would need for a holiday..storage, bathroom, comfy bed and a balcony. The only downside was there were a few schools visiting when we were there and they had placed them in the same block as us so it definatley wasn’t a quiet room ! You could hear the teachers trying to keep them quiet at 11pm at night but it’s not great when you have young children trying to sleep…maybe the hotel should have a separate block if they know they are going to have a lot of school children in??? Pool : the pool is a absolutley huge and very clean. The water is a perfect crystal blue! The pirate shop was a firm favourite for our little boy. Although they are a little strict with allowing sunglasses in the pool (you need them as it’s so bright haha!) the lifeguards make you feel very safe. There is a vast area of sand around the pool which is perfect for the children to play in….(actually made ours happy enough that he thought he’d been to the beach so we didn’t have to venture to Salou!) Food : I saw a lot of reviews with people complaining about the food. We didn’t have a problem at all. Yes it can be samey, but considering they have such a large demographic to cater for I think they do very well with what they do have! You can always find something to eat. It’s typical all inclusive food. When you check in they give you a QR CODE to select a time fo

This is a fantastic resort for families loads to do in the theme park it will take two days to do the whole park and its hilly and alot of walking so bring a pram for kids or you can hire buggys at the park for a fee! You can eat at certain restaurants in the park water park and ferrari land it's on the portaventura app .. pool is amazing loads of sunbeds although can be uncomfortable * no cushion or pads on them* there is multiple cabanas/covered areas for families to keep kids in the shade.. lifeguards are strict no t shirts sunglasses hats or non lycra shirts in pool otherwise all are very friendly and it feels very safe! Restaurant is very samey but that's just all inclusive ! There's a great selection so can't complain ! Just a note for families with babies there are no kettles in rooms or for hire to boil water for bottles although we filled bottles from coffee machine in morning and the shack in the hotel square staff did the same for us at night that's our only complaint! So bring a travel kettle it's worth it!!

We have just returned from a great 7 day stay here. We have stayed at H10 hotels in the past so we were expecting a good experience and we got one. The location is great, around a 10-15 minute walk to the main part of Salou which means it’s quiet in the evenings but still close enough to the centre. Our room was modern and clean and had all the facilities you’d need such as a safe (free to use), aircon and pull out drying rack on the balcony. Large hot shower and toiletries. The rest of the hotel was beautifully clean too. The food is delicious and we enjoyed both the breakfast and dinner options. There are many options and we were spoiled for choice, which doesn’t often happen at buffet style restaurants! The staff were all welcoming and friendly and you only have to ask if you had an issue or query. Entertainment team were great each day. The bar serves a good selection of drinks and snacks, which we made use of both by the pool and in the evenings. Delicious cocktails too. Some reviews have complained about the sun beds, but we didn’t have a problem (whether that is because it has been rectified throughout the summer, I don’t know). There was a small queue of people for the 9am ‘rush’ but we headed out after eating breakfast at around 9.30-10am and there were still plenty of beds. We were also able to return to the hotel in the afternoons and find a bed easily. Overall, we had a great stay and we definitely would return!
As regular travellers, this is our 5th visit to an H10 hotel as our kids love Daisy and the animation teams. It’s A nice hotel, pleasant environment with great food. The staff are excellent and Dani from the animation team was fantastic with our two kids. The selection of food was excellent, catering for vegetarian and other dietary requirements with plenty of coffee machines at breakfast- void of tea making queues unlike other areas of the hotel. Enter the sunbed wars! The sunbed situation is ridiculous. The hotel needs to stop these clowns queuing from 7:45 for a sunbed. One previous hotel we visited of a similar size had a lot more sunbeds and no defined opening time. This meant there was no queue and after I run in the morning I could grab an early morning swim before breakfast! Not here! Please management, stop the queue, buy more sunbeds and just open the pool. The hotel itself is close to nearby shops, the beach and within walking distance to PortAventura theme park , which we visited twice. We went out for lunch to a few places , with several being a rip off. The best value for a quick snack being the cafe at the front of Michelangelo supermarket next to the H10 princessesa. Would I return? Possibly, but probably at a less busier period. The experience in Salou has really put us off the package holiday style of holiday where sheep queue up for sunbeds!

Our family visited Salou in August and stayed in 2 apartments in Ona Suites. The apartments were clean and functional . Housekeeping came in during week to change towels and general tidy. Pool was very clean with life guard on duty all day. You can rent sunbeds for a small charge , would be good if there were umbrellas to rent too (might be something to consider) . The reception staff especially Aya was friendly and professional . Arranged late check out for a small fee as our flight was evening time . Close to beach and all the shops and supermarkets. Great location , clean , friendly reception staff . Will definitely be back .

Nice location in safe and clean town of Salou, but next to historical Tarragona. The resort is surrounded by the nice and long promenade, lots of nice local Spainish cuisine restaurants and shops. There are also western fast food places like McDonalds. Ideal specially for families, kids, and elderly. There are rental shops for bikes, e-scooters, mobility mopeds for the elderly, special needs, and just those want to go around time riding instead of walking (the mopeds are cheaper euros 10 for 1 whole day, e-scooters are euro 10+ per hour.

The Salou Beach is a beautiful 4-star hotel, close to the beach and the very animated centre of Salou, with numerous restaurants and shops, and a very beautiful walk from the dale, decorated with large trees and flowers, along the beach. The hotel is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility and accepts animals, with a small amount (€12). The rooms are very pleasant, with a really comfortable bed, a set and a private terrace with a table and chairs (it is better to ask for a room giving on the pool, it is quieter). The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable. The staff is charming and the reception is very warm. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable, and it is very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel is very convenient for those who want to make the PortAventura attraction park. In conclusion, we strongly recommend this hotel!

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago ,we had an early flight from Glasgow so arrived at the hotel a few hours before check in,there were lockers in the lower floor to leave out luggage while we went for a wander waiting for our rooms .I was slightly disappointed that the lockers had to be paid for.We booked 2 rooms through the tour operation TUI one double and one twin for our teenage son and daughter. When we got the rooms and went to get settled in we found we had been allocated 2 rooms with a double bed in each which was no use to us as there was no way our son and daughter could share a bed .When I went to reception to sort it out and show them what we had booked they said that they had no twin rooms in the hotel and there was nothing they could do ,so we then asked to speak to someone superior and they said as it was the weekend the hotel was fully booked but they would try and sort something out on the Sunday so my wife and daughter had to share for a couple of nights as did myself and our son .To the hotels credit they came to us on the Sunday and allocated us another room with 2 double beds so our son and daughter got a double bed each. This mess up was no way the hotels fault and I can’t thank them enough for sorting it out .Wondering if any other families had the same problem with tui.We were half board and found the food to be really good. There we’re the usual ques waiting for the sun loungers in the morning but we used the adults only roof top pool which there was never a problem getting loungers (and the hot tubs were bliss)I cannot comment on the evening entertainment as we went out every night .All in all I would recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay again

We found the hotel to be very suitable for us as it was lovely quiet, very relaxing with lots of mature palm trees and great swimming pools. All the noisy attractions very nearby so there is something for everyone. Food was good too just the waiting time to come in to the restaurant and the fact that you had to finish eating within less than an hour was annoying. But even though we would come back. We would love if the other restaurant which was not included in the half board meal option started opening from lunch time so customers could buy nice lunch inside the resort instead of looking somewhere else most of the days. There is food at the pool bar but not much choice.

We have been staying at this hotel for almost 8 years now. The pool area is beautiful and the location is ideal for us. The staff are fantastic, we always get such a lovely welcome whenever we arrive. We arrived at the hotel one week after they re-opened for the season and were very surprised to find out how busy they already were. I have never seen such queues for the restaurant in all my years. They have started a new policy of personally seating everyone before returning to assist the next people in the queue, this has definitely had an affect on the growing queue system. I think they either need to add more seating in the restaurant to deal with the volume of people or extend the breakfast and dinner times, which may reduce the queue issue. If it's this busy in My, I dread to think what it will be like in July! The food was just okay, definitely not worth the 30 minute wait to get into the restaurant, and then further queues for the grilling and omelette station when you get in there! They have stopped doing the fresh orange juice, the speciality (themed) section and the food truck which is disappointing (this might have something to do with it being low season). When I was there in October, there were quite a few things broken, tiles, bathroom doors etc which is expected after a busy season but I was surprised to see that these things were still not fixed while they were closed. There have been a lot of staff changes throughout they years, it's always sad to see some of your favourite staff leave but its great to meet the new staff too. We found out that a lot of last years animation team like Dani, Arian and Julio were moved to their sister hotel across the road so we did sneak over there a few times to say hi. The hotel itself is a great and it is fantastic value for money but it's just not what it used to be. It certainly has the potential to be the number 1 family hotel in Salou again but the rooms need to be upgraded, improve the layout of the restaurant and add more tables, they should bring back the themed nights in the restaurant, bring back the special treat stall outside the restaurant when you are leaving (popcorn/candyfloss, sweets, chocolate fountain etc). It's the little extras that can make a nice stay a fantastic one.

My husband and I had a week away from Barcelona staying at this adults only hotel. The reception staff were all friendly but especially Bea who was extremely helpful with things to go and see whilst we were here as the weather was not the best. Rooms were really nice, clean and tidy, with comfortable beds, but the pillows not so comfy. Could have done with a table on the balcony too. Breakfast was a good choice with the option to order freshly cooked too and the staff were friendly and kept the place ticking over nicely. The spa was a bit of a disappointment as it only has steam room and sauna and a jacuzzi for 8 people, so we only used once and the games room was not available durin the week due to conference. Fortunately we had our own cards and dominoes. Overall a good visit to Salou, where we visited Cambrils, Tarragona, Reus and Sama Park out of tourist season. I am sure it would be buzzing come Easter onwards. Thanks to the Magnolia Team for the great overall service.

I chose this hotel which is (advertised as) a 4-star superior. Lovely room with a pool view. But ... NO kettle or tea/coffee-making facilities. Big oversight. Balcony has DECK CHAIRS - not good if you have back or mobility issues. A point off for these issues. Wi-fi? Don't bet on it. Erratic to say the very least. And if you're searching for an English channel or two on the telly (maybe you're missing your Corrie!) forget it. Sky News and that's it. Germans and French well-catered for, however. Lose another point. I cannot comment on the food as I was room only.

Brilliant hotel thoroughly enjoyed it stayed 1st week in August with family we really liked it not any complaints (contrary to some recent reviews) my opinion, but staff very kind polite and friendly the cleaners in daily rooms are spotless. Food in restaurant for me, very good choice for everyone all ages and even if fussy tastes. Staff attentive. We didn’t stay much at night for the entertainment but always busy, violin 🎻 night was good, in daytime the aqua aerobics in the pool was fun we mostly sunbathed outside the family suites pool and at the Gregal Bar area, also good food in there for lunchtime or an afternoon. Never sunbathed at the top of the hotel area but choice of 7 pools indoor is nice for a swim, lovely experience in the hotel can’t complain. Would definitely come back for me if was rated recently #1 in Salou and it felt like it. Very modern, comfy bed what else can you ask for. Good walking distance from most amenities.. Thank you Golden Port for helping to make our holiday - muchos gracias

Just come back from a week stay. It was pleasant but wouldn’t go back. Pros: - friendly staff - rooms, pool and rest of hotel cleaned daily to good standards - good, quality and variety of food. Plenty to go round - breakfast was particularly good. Included all drinks (fresh juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate) - free use of gym all day and jacuzzi/indoor pool 5-8pm (cannot enter without hair covering which cannot be plastic) - close to beach/shops/train & bus stations and port Aventura parks Cons: - no free tap water or water fountains (it’s very hot, tap water/fountain should be readily available) bottle of 1.5 litres is 3 euros. No drinks included for lunch or dinner. - plates/cups/cutlery were dirty/not washed properly and smelt of eggs - beds were uncomfortable - air com in rooms is mediocre - evening entertainment starts too late and every evening is much the same (found it boring) - had to pay hotel tax when we checked in Overall we had a pleasant, relaxing stay. It does feel a bit like they try and squeeze every penny they can get out of you. We hired bikes from reception 6 euros for 2 hours (look into Spanish Highway Code as you can only ride them in certain areas). A special mention to Chris in the Spa area. He was very friendly and hospitable.

In general the hotel was nice, we arrived and it was quiet. We visited the spa which was nice and the hotel is in a great location (about a 5 minute walk from the beach front) and 25 minutes from the theme park. Food- the food in the restaurant was decent but quite repetitive. However, having said that there was always something to eat. The only downside here at the restaurant was the waiters took a long time to ask us what drinks we wanted, sometimes we would be half way through before being approached. Also, there should be a snack bar by the pool which is open to all inclusive guests however this wasn’t open at all during our stay which was disappointing as we liked to go for walks, so if we missed lunch we had to wait until 7.30 for dinner. Bar - the two male servers were brilliant. Very attentive, friendly and quick. There is a good selection of local spirits however, I was on the all inclusive and when I asked there was only one cocktail available plus sangria, there are more available but you have to pay. The only downside was I had an issue which I raised with reception who maybe through a language barrier didn’t really acknowledge. I have been here before, 8 years ago and the hotel itself has drastically improved. It does feel very spa like with the music and decor. The only issue we had was on our last night there must have been a late arrival and we could hear everything in the corridor and above which meant we couldn’t sleep until 4pm.
