As the Banyan Tree service did not have to say, that is, the charges are expensive, even the expensive is not good for hygiene, the pool villas, the small collapse in the yard can not lie, placed in the corner of the eaves do not say mosquitoes There are many ant bugs and a lot of spider webs. It looks dirty. The colony is also covered with insect secretions and spider webs. The partitions in the room are all gray, which makes people feel uncomfortable. And if it is too far to go to the beach, it is not convenient. It can only be said that this Banyan Tree is relatively backward, not as good as the nearby Viseroy.

What surprised me was the set of drawings used by Banyan Tree Sanya and Banyan Tree Sanya. The lobby landscape, villa landscape and interior decoration are exactly the same! The difference is that the private swimming pool in Sanya has a curved line, this one is a straight line. Behind the villa is the Maya River, but Sanya lacks a river. The breakfast is great, Mexican style, hot and sour, all Chinese can enjoy.

This resort is, not unexpectedly, a complete paradise. But what is exquisitely special is the warmth and inclusion of the staff. If you are lucky enough to arrive on a beautiful day, like we did, you'll take a short boat ride along the small river to meet your butler who will accompany you to your suite. Our primary butler was Gaby. She attended to our every need -- from making our reservations to small surprises. She worked seamlessly with the other members of the team to arrange transportation, too. Our suite was impeccable. The most gorgeous, toes-in-sand view of the ocean, a plunge pool, and daily beach set up, always ready for us. Our beach attendants were perfectly attentive. We enjoyed complimentary snacks each day from cucumber with tamarind to churros and caramel. Beach menu and service were similarly impeccable. The spa has a remarkable river view with welcoming staff and an assortment of offerings. A 90 minute massage is the perfect start to a stay! There is no end to the dining options as you can pick from Rosewood's offerings or the adjacent properties. The primary breakfast spot is a highlight of the property. Like many of the other options, it offers a gorgeous pool and river view. We had amazing service here from the hostess to the servers each charming in their own right. The Continental breakfast is excellent, but don't miss the menu offerings either. My spouse and I argue over which dish is the best, but do your best to try them all! The Heuvos Divorciados is delicious but the traditional pancakes are also just right on a rainy day. For dinner on property, one highlight was Agave Azul. It offers sushi but so much more plus a fantastic river view. You can also dine at Zapote Bar and enjoy live music and inspired, fresh cuisine. Truly a not-to-be missed adventure is La Ceiba Garden and Kitchen, a community dinner offered Wednesday and Saturday in the stunning greenhouse. The scenery is beautiful, but what is most remarkable is the way in which the staff (we were hosted by Sylvia whose enthusiasm and warmth are absolutely contagious) folds you into the moment and welcomes your visit to the culture of the evening. It is truly a sensory experience -- fresh herbs scenting the air, a fire pit in the distance, the chef (Jonathan Alvarado! I hope to enjoy his meals again soon), sous chefs, hostess and other attendants circulating and sharing their enthusiasm for the cuisine and culture they are sharing, the musicians strumming and meeting the moment of the celebration. If all of that wasn't enough, we were lucky enough to have our dinner on the night that wine importer Mary Taylor was visiting, offering her wines, and sharing her own story. It is appropriately adults only but goodness it was a shining star experience. The beach does have sand whales in the distance but the water in October was warm and clear, very little seaweed, and a perfect ripple to the ocean. We are beach, not pool, people but both
After visiting Rosewood Mayakoba for the first time, it’s obvious why this property is one of the Crown Jewels of Rosewood’s portfolio. We have never experienced such impeccable service with mind-blowingly personal touches around every corner. Every member of the staff was so welcoming and accommodating, from our butlers Gerry and Valeria, to the spa staff (especially Gustavo who even coached us through the cold plunge!). Each employee we encountered was kind, caring, and delightful. It honestly felt like we were in a magical world—transported away from the everyday challenges of real life. The food and beverage program is the best I’ve encountered in my travels. From excellent tequila tastings (and education!) at Agave Azul, to the incredible tostadas at La Fondita, and the pitch perfect beach bites at Aqui Me Quedo—it’s clear why Rosewood Mayakoba winds up on so many “best of” lists. Zapote Bar was a special treat with finely crafted cocktails and live music that kept the party going. Visiting La Isla Secreta was a highlight and such a unique experience. We even made new friends that we have stayed in touch with—it just felt so special. Other highlights include Champagne O’clock on the beach, riding bikes to the FABULOUS spa, and the Thursday night Mexican Grill (where we ate way too many of Chef Jessica’s churros—the best we’ve ever tasted). Leaving the property was bittersweet—there is some sort of magic at every turn while you’re there. You just can’t put your finger on it. The thoughtfulness behind every decision is so very apparent as a guest, and yet the entire staff made every detail seem effortless. I have no doubt that an immense amount of planning and communication goes into every guests’ stay, so I would just like to say THANK YOU and BRAVO!! We will be back again and again.

Another great vacation at Grand Velas Riviera Maya. Once again, our lovely buttler CAROLINA took care of everything for us, and particularly all the attentions for the birthday of my wife. CAROLINA is professional, efficient, and always happy. Special thanks to the CAFE AMAT STAFF, all the girls are so kind, and AZUL STAFF, particularly LUCINA, and YAZMIN at the ADULT POOL. And finally, we have really appreciated all the attention the STAFF and the CHEF of LUCA had for us for our last dinner. Muchas Gracias!!
The BEST! This is our 2nd time going to a Grand Velas property and I can say that it was an amazing stay. The room was stunning, the staff is so kind and warm, the food and drinks are wonderful and the best part of our stay was our concierge Aaron. He did not stop for one minute to ensure that we had everything we needed. We love this place and can’t wait to come back.

A friend bought me the famous Xcaret water park. Hotel prices for Christmas are ridiculously expensive, especially the hotels owned by Xcaret. So this time, in addition to staying at Xcaret Mexico (hereinafter referred to as More Iberostar Quetzal (hereinafter referred to as Q). The price of Hotel Q is less than half that of Hotel X (of course Hotel X includes amusement park tickets, you have to decide whether it’s worth it). Compared to X, which is famous among Chinese people, has better hardware facilities and scenery, I recommend Q more environment: Hotel X is a five-star hotel that Chinese people are familiar with. It has large rooms, new facilities, and not to mention hardware. The beach is very unique, and it feels like an Avatar suspended mountain. Most of the beach is composed of rocks, and there is a small section of beach. The water quality is super good. X is the garden and Q is the jungle. Catering Services: If I had only stayed at Hotel X, I might have thought it was pretty good, but unfortunately I stayed at Hotel Q. In contrast, Q Hotel feels like home. The waiters are more cheerful and accommodating. The drinks are open to drink. The buffet has many fresh varieties and there is basically no need to wait for a table. On Christmas Day, you can eat lobsters and oysters all you want. There is no stinginess at all. In contrast, the waiters at Hotel I also made a reservation for the Xin Gao Japanese meal, so my expectations weren’t too high. I ordered an appetizer of rice, and what came out was a bowl of white rice! I ordered sashimi without wasabi. The waiter said sorry, there is no wasabi today. I will give you pickled ginger slices instead of mustard. Activity: It’s very convenient to go to Xcaret’s parks, with buses running every 20 minutes. The hotel offers free airport drop-off, but reservation is required one day in advance.

I would like to thank all entertainment team - Deborah, Aaron, Roberto, Ulises, Zander and David - for making our stay so special and active all throughout. Thank you Deborah for the bracelets you made, Roberto - for always lifting up our moods and being the first one to remember our names, Aaron - for always finding some time to catch up and amazing aqua aerobics, David and Ulises - for such a great time during aqua dance, and Zander - for the time spent playing volleyball. Miss you all!
This was a perfect place for a getaway. Despite going during Hurricane Nadine where we had 4 days of straight rain, the pool/bars and other amenity areas still provided a lot of fun. The entertainment team was great (aqua biking with Rodrigo and volleyball with Roberto). Drawbacks included little to no outdoor music or elevator music playing and a couple of the lunch places shut down due to rain. The beach has been washed away since hurricane Milton. Each restaurant had decent or really good food, especially Asiana.

Staying at Iberostar for the second time, never disappointed! I like their diving shop the most. The arrangement is reasonable, the price is favorable, and there is a 20% discount for advance booking. The restaurant is all-inclusive, brunch is a buffet, and there are many restaurants to choose from for dinner, which requires advance reservation. Suitable for travelers who can travel on their own with good English!

Really a great experience. I was with my husband, we stayed in the privilege suite, perfect! Spacious room, with individual taps, hydro in the bathroom and in the outdoor area with views of the garden, surreally comfortable bed. The Hotel has a wide variety of restaurants, including Italian, Japanese and steakhouse you must book on the day, the rest just go and wait. The Japanese restaurant is not so much about the food but about the sushi chef's experience, it's more of a show, incredible! I recommend the buffet restaurant as it has a variety of cuisine from different countries and the Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn't have good service at the restaurant on the beachfront, which is the only criticism! The resort has several green areas, so you can find several animals, super cute!! We went bowling and they even have karaoke nights, really fun! I would suggest just having a heated pool, as all of them are not heated. It's a complete resort, with ice cream parlor, cafe, wonderful. I recommend it to everyone!

Large complex with several pools and dining options, though some amenities not available due to covid. Generally helpful and kind staff, one gentleman at the concierge wasn't the best but the manager was great! The beach had lots of space, places to sit and staff available for beverage service. Where do I start! I booked this hotel based on the good reviews! On arrival at the hotel I was told check in want until 3, and the room wasn’t ready. I had no issues with this as per the check in details. I was told to place my luggage in an insecure room and I wandered up to the pool area, which seemed lovely on first impressions. I wandered out of the hotel and grabbed some lunch to return at the check in time. On returning to the hotel, there were three guests together clearly having check in issues and were refused a key card each. We checked in and was given a key card for room 010 with no explanation, the member of staff could not speak any English and the security guard pointed in the direction. I had booked a suite. This was the best accommodation on offer. What I was greeted with was vastly different. It was dark, smelt musty, the bedroom was on an internal corridor with no natural light, the terrace overlooked reception and you could hear everything. The bed linen was stained and covered in hairs with the audacity of a note saying charges would be incurred for any stains. We immediately complained and the receptionist was clueless and unable to help and couldn’t understand us. A member of staff from the tour table assisted and we were informed that there were no alternatives until tomorrow. Although we weren’t convinced by this. We didn’t unpack and went to the pool area and after having to request pool towels which were old and stained we ventured up. The pool area wasn’t busy and beds available, although the beds were old and d falling apart and only 8 in total. You had to arrange your own umbrellas which were a mish mash and some broken. Sophia at the pool was lovely and obliged during happy hour. We were informed that the hotel had recently been taken over and the pool bar had separate owners. The next day we attended reception at the requested time and we asked to views before moving, this caused some issues and they agreed. The room was 101 and was much better in comparison, although basic furniture and the bathroom was dirty but the linen was cleaner and the bed wasn’t broken like in the first room. The standard of cleaning was poor and staff would often have small children in the bottom of the cleaning trolleys whilst working. The pool towels were never changed and it was hit and Miss whether you got enough towels in the bathroom, along with toilet roll and without telephones in the room you had to visit reception. There was no hairdryer and water only given on first day.we did laugh when a note was next to say we owned mo way for stained items. I was ready for an argument on check out but it never happened and no money was requested. The hotel is in a good location for 5tb Avenue and has the potential to be so much better

Firstly, the staff were fabulous. In the restaurants (Miguel and Carlos), bars (Andres) and at the pool (sorry I can’t remember the lady’s name at the adult pool). The room (villa 15) always felt damp and foisty. A couple of issues we had were resolved quickly and followed up with a call from reception. Bed was very comfortable. We had a kitchen area which didn’t even have a tea spoon in it. We took one from the restaurant (sorry) so that we could make a cup of tea in the room. We were there when a storm hit and there wasn’t a lot to do. Goodness knows how people kept young children occupied. The weather wasn’t the fault of the hotel, but they maybe need to provide space where activities can be done during adverse weather. The food on the whole was very good. Personal favourite was the Italian. The only down side was it got very busy with long wait times. Poor Diego trying to keep everyone happy, but he did a great job. It would have been better if seating was provided while you waited for the Italian (sometimes 2hrs) as sitting on a pool bed wasn’t the best experience. Thai and Brasserie were also good. We weren’t impressed with the Mexican. Music was very loud and the food very average, but that could have been what we picked. I enjoyed being able to go to a restaurant every night rather than battling round a buffet (which was closed). I didn’t mind the waiting around with your buzzer and a drink We really enjoyed the adult pool. Very quiet and relaxing. The restaurant there was also good for a lunch time One thing I would suggest as an improvement is that other than the plaza there’s nowhere to sit and have a drink in the shade unless you’re on a sun bed. This felt a bit odd but didn’t spoil our stay. It was enjoyable holiday and with a couple of minor tweaks it would feel special

It is NOT all inclusive and most of the resort smells like sewage! Anything on the beach is most likely you have to pay (the fancy beds, the food) Even the pool by the beach, the same chairs that are free on the beach you need to pay for and reserve at the poor nearby. Marley Coffee..not included, ice cream...not included, the Spa...not included Most of the staff are not aware of the happenings/way things are run on the resort. The guy giving out towels was unaware and surprised that chairs need to be paid and reserved around the pool near the beach. Workers gave the impression the Brasserie restaurant/buffet is reservation only, but when we went there they let us in no problem. Along with the luggage. Rooms are ready by 3pm and if you arrive hours early they will put your luggage away and serve whoever is present/bring them to their rooms before you when you are ready. (Recommend booking a later flight so you arrive after 3) We enjoyed the rooms, and DID have it serviced everyday, my only issue was the bathroom design. The shower design in villas makes it so it will leak out into the hallway. Slit in bathroom/toilet so you can see into. Gross/briny beach that is not really swimmable/deep, along with the pools , they are all about 5ft deep and warm Tips to survive The Fives: 1. DO NOT close the big glass door to your balcony if one of you is not in the room, you WILL be locked out and need to wave down employees to come let you back in. 2. USE interact for buying things if you run out of money, the ATM’s charge you $30 to use. 3. The monkeys will steal your items if they are not secured to you. Be careful when throwing things in trash, in case there is a possum inside. 4. DO NOT brush your teeth/rinse toothbrush with sink water in room, it smells 5. DO NOT eat the lettuce, or you will spend the next few weeks with stomach pain and consistent bathroom visits 6. Save your tip money for when you actually need it!!!...and you will (see following stories) We booked a few excursion via AirTransat/a worker named Dhyada. She was very pleasant and answered our questions...or so we thought. Our first excursion was snorkeling and visiting the Isle De Mujeres. Dhyada mentioned that we need $10 USD for a travel cost. (She failed to mention WHO to give this to) We are not that well versed in travelling, so we gave it to the bus driver and he kept it as a tip. When we arrived at the docks to leave, we didn't have any $, due to the agent saying we only needed it for souvenirs etc. We were bailed out and totally unaware that ”etc” meant EVERYTHING. When we arrived at the island (without any cash/cards whatsoever), we were greeted by the bathroom costing money, anywhere in the shade costing money, water from the bar costing money. Had we known we would have brought some, but we were lead to believe otherwise. We tried to plead with the caravans to take us back we don't want to stay in the blistering sun with no water for 3 hours. But they persisted t

I love this hôtel this is my second time there. This is a little Paradise oasis in the center of Playa. Best location ever without noticing any of the Playa noise. Large gardens with tall palm trees, 3 beautiful pools with one directly on the beach. They pay attention to detail and everything is beautiful. The spa has natural colors and is beautifully set up. My masseuse was Claudia and I went twice because she is very good and attentive to your problem areas. The staff is helpful and friendly. You don’t need to book the all inclusive if you want to explore the restaurants around. They also have a small Starbucks now within the premises so you can have your morning coffee there if you don’t care about the giant buffet. Among all the hotels on the Riviera, this one has a more human size, is situated in the center which is great for shopping, eating out and bars. Well, I love this place.

Nice little hotel, 3 blocks to the fifth Ave. a quiet area, nice restaurants near the downtown, good breakfast, the only cons here was the air conditioning doesn’t work, but the person on charge provided a new upgrade room. The hotel have potential but needs an exterior updated. The picture is a vegan pizza just next door! Amazing.

The hotel is an older hotel. The location is great for access to the beach and walk around 5th Ave. The bartenders and the travel shop/scuba shop were great the hotel maintenance and front desk staff were not the best. We did have issues with our rooms and they were fixed eventually except the king room that we booked was not available and we had to share a double bed. Iit’s an older hotel with musty smells and stuck drawers. The pool closed early on a Saturday night (8pm) but the mariachi/karaoke can play until 11pm and the noise will carry into the room. The kelp on the beach is filled with sand fleas and we came home with over 100 sand flea bites between the 5 of us. The buffet was ok but not worth $45 per day per person.

The appearance of the hotel is okay, the breakfast is OK, but I don't think it's a four-star hotel, it's almost a three-star hotel. And it's super humid, even the paper towels in the bathroom are wet, it just feels wet to the touch. The whole room smelled of damp, which was very uncomfortable. The service is good, the sink was blocked, and someone came to fix it within ten minutes of calling.
