This location is directly on the Grand Strand and is walking distance from the central Myrtle beach downtown. A great place for family’s with kids, but make sure you get a room on the higher floors. My main complaint is we were in the 5th floor, which is the first floor of residential rooms. Floor 3 and 4 are sales demo rooms and meeting rooms to sell you into timeshares. The reason I say get up higher is, there is a night club that plays heavy bass every night until 2am, and you can feel it though the walls on my floor. I’m used to staying up late, but it is a bit annoying. The only other inconvenience is in my 10 day stay, they will only clean your room once, midweek. Even after I requested new linen and towels, they said maid service is gone, and is not possible. They did offer to drop off sheets and towels. I guess this is the difference between staying at a real Hilton vs a timeshare, and they do pressure you to taking a 2 hour “tour”. With all the services out there to help you get out of a time share, I’m surprised anyone would still buy into that. The pros out weight the cons, so overall it’s a great place to stay. The beach is amazing as most of Myrtle beach is. If you want peace and quiet, go to north Myrtle beach. If you want close access to the party scene and stores etc, this is the place .

We arrived at 8:45 in the evening. The following issues were found with the condo: BEDROOM AT THE ENTRANCE: The door to the bedroom doesn’t latch. The bathroom door from that room is falling off the hinges. Plaster is coming off the wall in that bathroom. The toilet seat is falling off. SECOND BEDROOM: There is a broken lamp in the closet. LIVING/DINING AREA: Side lamps: the one near the bedroom door has a stain on it, and the one by the window doesn’t work. The sliding door to the balcony is very hard to open. Pops out of the track half the time. There are 2 picture hangers on the wall next to the TV with no picture. We don’t know if there ever was a picture, but not when we got here. MASTER BEDROOM: The TV is destroyed! It looks like someone hit it twice with something. The closet door has some green spatter, and a large, what looks like, paint chip out of the door. MASTER BATHROOM: Towel rack nearest the door fell apart as soon as I tried to remove the towel. The other is almost as bad. There is plaster coming off the walls. The small shelf in the tub/shower isn’t even finished. By the end of our stay the towel racks and bathroom door were fixed, and the broken TV replaced. The other issues were not, or could not, be addressed until after we left. We were offered a one day early arrival. Why couldn’t these issues be dealt with on that day? The best part of the condo was the view from the balcony, and its proximity to the beach. I sent several emails requesting some kind of reimbursement for the condition of the condo. I’ve received no reply either way. With this example, I would suggest avoiding any accommodations offered by BigFishRentals.
