The hotel has no breakfast, no other meals, kitchen utensils to cook for yourself, and bring your own. There are several small restaurants nearby that taste good! The price is also reasonable! It is an apartment type hotel and cannot accommodate an extra bed. The room type can be fixed according to the number of people! Very suitable for small children, there is a small garden, the pool has a small pool! The hotel is very close to the beach and the location is good! Parking is very convenient!

We have stayed at Golden Sands many times over the past decade or so and love the true beachfront location. Our preferred apartment is 503, which is a beautifully refurbished 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. It has an amazing view, quality furniture, new full kitchen with stone bench top and stainless steel Smeg appliances (it also has a Nespresso machine, which the other apartments I have stayed in there don’t have) and 2 luxe bathrooms (one with a freestanding bath) and the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The sound system and the 3 televisions are a nice touch. Love the concrete floor in the living areas and the soft carpet in the bedrooms. So good to have air con in the living area and both bedrooms, as well as a full laundry with washer, dryer and tub. It was fantastic to visit again after a couple of years to see that the complex has been completely modernised. It has been repainted, new balcony railings and tiles and the common areas have all been upgraded. The tennis court and pool areas have also been modernised. The place looks brand new! The managers Barbara and Ernie really couldn’t do enough for us and keep the place spotlessly clean and the gardens manicured. This is deluxe accomodation in a first rate location, with no roads to cross and a private stairway to the beach. Also no road noise and no cranes (there is a lot of construction going on in Main Beach). I have booked our next stay at Golden Sands already and can’t wait to go back!

This was our second stay at Oscar’s and didn’t disappoint. Location is great and close to Tedder Ave which has coffee shops, restaurants and food store. Also a 4 minute walk to Main beach Accommodation was good with a roomy one bedroom apartment and free parking. Bathroom is a little outdated and bed was a little small to our liking. Apart from that we would love to come back again

( includes Apts , Balcony’s and Common Areas ) Professional Staff .Incredible . Carla , Front Office staff as well and Maintenence staff all wear smiles and attend to your needs to make a holiday at Xanadu enjoyable. Managers Tony and Grace take the award for running the best Beach Resort on the Gold Coast . Congratulations . 10 out of 10 for all stars !! The apartment is in a good location and fairly clean but the customer experience here is terrible. They provided me 1/3 roll toilet paper then charge $2 a roll for the smallest roll of toilet paper I’ve ever seen (and I travel a lot). The coffee machine I was provided had the wrong pods and they only replaced one then told me additional pods would be $2 each. Then the proceeded to charge my credit card $46 for forks they said were missing when I left. They didn’t bother to try and contact me to ask about this. The cutlery was left in the dishwasher that they didn’t clear properly. Now I am left trying to fight for my money back. When did people decide it is ok to literally steal peoples money without talking to them about it first? A phone call costs a few cents and a few minutes of their time.

What a fantastic experience. Our Room was beautiful and well appointed. Great views of the ocean and the river as well as the marina. While we didnt have a balcony facing the water we had amazing over 180 degree views with fantastic sunsets over the mountains. Close to everything 8 mins from Tedder Ave and across the road was the Main Beach Patrolled Surf Beach. The staff are great, rooms very clean and gardens well kept. The pool area is fantastic great for BBQs and is very private. Couldnt recommend enough one of the best accommodation we have staying in in some time.

Thhe apartment was very spacious, bigger than places we have stayed at before. It was clean and had all the modern appliances to make it very comfortable. Perfect location to shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely going back again!
