We stopped here on our way back home from Spring Break. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and attentive. After getting settled in our room we went down to the pool. The hot tub was more like sitting in warm bath water and the water was murky. There is very limited seating for those not getting in the water. Our room seemed partially updated. The flooring was in poor shape. The area right inside the door is hard flooring and was incredibly sticky--like someone before us spilled a soda and wiped it up with napkins. The transition ***** to the carpet was loose and flopping around. The carpet seemed clean but looked old. The beds were newer and very comfortable but the pillows were very flat. We paid extra for breakfast to be included and were disappointed. We were in a hurry to get back on the road so opted for the buffet which was very limited. The scrambled eggs were luke warm and relatively tasteless. The only other warm options were hash browns (which we didn't try), bacon and sausage. The bacon and sausage were tasty. We had higher expectations for the hotel and the friendly staff and comfortable beds were about the only positives. We likely won't stay here again.

Everything was excellent. Staff, cleanliness, the room. I was surprised that there was a kitchenette with dishes. There was not a view of the river, but the nearby arena shot off fireworks and I could see those from the room! There's a coffeeshop across the parking lot, though it wasn't needed since there's coffee available in the lobby. The breakfast included hot food items and several toppings like nuts and berries for either oatmeal or yogurt. Parking was very easy. It has a pool right off the elevator. The alarm clock was easier to set than most. The mattress was very soft. I like the rug under the sofa, which I believe is intended for dogs and would be easily washable. The TV had free Showtime. I would stay there again.

I was recently at a training course in Wichita for around 21 days, which required an extended-stay location. The reviews for the Residence Inn by Marriott looked good, so we booked it. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable, plenty of pillows the fireplace always on in the lobby, and the cookies warm nearly every evening! But what makes this place is the TEAM!!! The front counter team was courteous above and beyond, Richard took personal pride in having an awesome breakfast ready every morning (fresh fruits, eggs, bacon, waffles, periodically croissant sandwiches and other specialty items. I travel a lot and in many places, the staff are just that, staff who are just ”showing up” for work. Not here, it seemed that they took a special interest in how we were doing and wanted to make our stay special. Rebekah was always looking out for us, ensuring that we had a room when our stay was unexpectedly extended. We will be returning to Wichita periodically for recurrent training and there is no doubt as to where we will be booking - Residence Inn by Marriott - Wichita East! There is so much I can say! We stayed in a jacuzzi suite and it was heaven! Beds are perfect and the best pillows I’ve ever slept with. Bartenders are the greatest, front desk is so helpful and housekeeping is on point with details not to mention all the fun things to do within distance!

We stayed here for 4 nights moving our daughter in town for an internship. The hotel location was close to her apartment and very close to food, gas, etc. It seems like a newer hotel so everything was clean and spacious. It's a large hotel and there were some large groups for a sporting event in town but we didn't have much trouble with noise or activity. The room was perfect, plenty of space. The breakfast area was clean, spacious, no trouble finding seating, and the food options were very good. Lucky for us they rotated food options each day so we had variety for our stay. The front desk staff were always very friendly when we came/left for the day. I would definitely stay here again.
