Reviews From Real Travelers
We loved almost everything about Bettei Oborozukiyo. It has a classic Japanese aesthetic, but is actually quite new, modern, stylish and fresh (it was established in 2015.) It's also small, private and quaint - it consists of only 19 rooms, which is a big departure from many of the mega hotels that litter the Dogo Onsen landscape. And it's only a short walking distance away from the main tourist sites in the area. All in all, we couldn't have asked for much more than what Bettei Oborozukiyo offered. We booked a ”G-Type Special Room with Open-Air Bath” (Room #307, ”Oborozuki” to be specific), the highest room category at the property. It's a nicely laid out and tastefully furnished and decorated suite room that features not one but two open-air, free-flowing Onsen (hot springs) baths. One is small bath (large enough for only one person) and is completely open air, while the second Onsen is much larger, and can be either fully enclosed or open-air, depending on whether you open all of the sliding glass windows. You really get the best of both worlds here. We had the smaller Onsen set to a hotter temperature and used it to quickly warm up our bodies, while the larger Onsen was set to a slightly lower temperature - allowing us to spend a longer amount of time enjoying the bath. It was pure bliss. It's worth noting that every single room at Bettei Oborozukiyo has at least one open-air Onsen bath, which is a real luxury and probably the main reason people would visit Dogo Onsen in the first place. And the Onsen hot springs water comes from the same source as the one used by the famous Dogo Onsen Honkan public bath house, so you know that it's going to be a special experience. A few other advantages of our room - it featured two separate toilets (Mrs. KI-NRT loves separate toilets!), and a bedroom that is completely separated from the main living area, which allowed her to take a peaceful nap while I was conducting a video conference with business partners. Meals for all guests are served in private dining rooms, which was nice (although if we were to nitpick, we prefer to be served in our the actual room that we're staying in.) And the Kaiseki meal was delicious and beautifully presented. While it was not the best meal we've ever had, all of the ingredients were locally-sourced and super fresh, especially the awesome seafood that was offered (including sashimi-style.) And the Iyo Beef Sirloin ”Shabu Shabu” hot pot was a great way to enjoy the local meat delicacy. Both dinner and breakfast were served by Riyo Miyauchi, a charming, engaging and enthusiastic young lady who was born and raised in the area, prompting us to ask many questions about the region and learning a great deal about Ehime as a result (especially the food.) Given that Japan was in the middle of a big pandemic wave, it was great to be able to enjoy top quality Onsen in the comfort of our room, without having to result to the communal bath at Bettei Oborozukiyo, or at Dogo Onsen Ho

The room is large and the price is expensive. It has a private hot spring ♨️ and the facilities are complete. It is a 3-minute walk from the Daohou Hot Spring Museum. It is especially suitable for getting up early to shoot the empty museum. The hot springs in the museum are open late and there are many fewer people than during the day. After soaking in the prototype building oil house (Daohou Hot Springs), you can also bubble private hot springs when you return to the hotel. The hotel's hot spring water and the road are the same water source. The breakfast and dinner are included. The beef in the package is delicious. The other dishes are quite satisfactory. It is expensive in the large room and private hot spring part.

This is the garden suite that I set for the first night. It is located on the B1 floor of the hotel's annex, which is the first floor. I like it at first sight when facing the garden landscape. Facilities are very complete, humidifier Bluetooth speaker coffee maker and so on, as well as very comfortable mobile hammock! It is really comfortable to lie in the sun and read a book and listen to music. The hotel only has a mini Japanese local TV, but stay in this hotel and don't think about watching TV and experience the beautiful environment! I booked a two-day spa, signature massage and body & facial care package, to relax and unwind. The outdoor pool is only open from June to September, but you can still walk to the front to see the scenery. It is highly recommended to order breakfast and dinner because the hotel restaurant arranges every meal so well, I stayed for four nights without repeating the dishes all day. The hotel also provides airport transfers and round-trip taxis within Matsuyama Castle. A single trip of 3300 yen is a good deal. In short, I will come again in another season.

Only the best is not better, this hotel is definitely the best among the five-star resorts I have visited around the world in terms of service and location as well as dining and surroundings. This Aonagi Suite is a must stay! Stay at least two nights! I booked this room for only one night for five consecutive days, and felt it was the most regrettable thing about this trip. Needless to say view, you can't fully experience its amazingness when you look at the picture. The Cave indoor pool and The All SPA are both private appointments and must be experienced. Don't hesitate, book it!

When I checked in late at night, the night meal was prepared in the room (maybe because I described the scheduled time) and the heart was warm and warm. It was convenient to have luggage baskets and umbrellas for hot water around the neighborhood. The large bath is also complete in the hotel, and it is put from 5 o'clock in the morning until 1 o'clock at night, so I think it can be used many times for those who like bathing. The location is close to Dogo Onsen Station, a few minutes walk from each Onsen Museum and convenience stores are also nearby, so it is a very convenient hotel. It was a little old building, but I thought the cost performance was good in view of location and service.
- Guest User
It was an old building, but the cleaning was well done and the response of the employees was good, but the dishes were the worst. First of all, it was a thick steak of about Yakiniku while taking a higher amount of meat and keeping it as a meat Sanmai Kai seat. It was only one piece of Yakiniku. The taste of the meat with sesame dressing is not the same as the one on the breakfast salad the next morning. There was also duck meat, but it was not unpleasant and eaten meat. I think it's a roast beef on a salad, but this was not unpleasant. On parade of unpleasant meat while taking this price. Moreover, there was nothing to eat breakfast. There is no pork soup from the morning. I think I will not use it again. If you use it, I recommend no meals. Dogo Onsen is empty until late at night, so it is better to eat outside.

1) It's a small inn with about 10 rooms, quiet and clean, and a calm and relaxing feeling that makes you feel like you're back at home. 2) Savor delicious dishes that cannot be found at other inns, such as sea bream Kabuto dishes that have received a Michelin star. 3) 5 minutes from Dogo Station, 1 minute from Haikara Street, and 3 minutes from Dogo Onsen Honkan. Good location 4) Talking with the host is the best hospitality. After dinner, you will hear various stories about Dogo. This is a ryokan that you will want to visit again. However, the hot spring is on the 1st floor. Meals are on the 2nd floor and lodging is on the 3rd floor, so you have to use stairs to get around, so be careful about that.

The first thing that surprised me was when I checked in. When the three of us crossed the threshold, the proprietress recognized us. I gave my name after entering the room. Excuse me. The food is also excellent. I also enjoyed breakfast with sea bream and steak. The proprietress, the general, and the staff were very polite to the customers, and I'm sorry that I had to talk to the customers, especially the customers. It was a satisfying night. thank you very much.

On the outskirts of Songshan City, it is very quiet, and the car goes to the big street for 15 minutes. The dinner package is simple, the sashimi is good, the drink buffet, the wine adds extra money, a total of 14 rooms, some rooms have their own hot springs. On the balcony. There is a Chinese guy in the store who is very convenient to communicate. The surrounding facilities are almost the same, there is no supporting facilities, a hotel on the roadside is only open until the afternoon, dinner is recommended at the hotel, there are chess mahjong, table tennis and so on. Bus 52 can go to the city and Songshan Airport every hour. If you want to soak in the hot springs, it is still quite suitable.

I stayed overnight with my family because I had a business in Matsuyama. It seems that the old inn is being renovated, and the corridors and some of the rooms have a little old remnants. However, the bedding and the built-in bathtub on the veranda were beautiful. However, the veranda was completely visible from the parking lot below, so you had to close the black curtains and you couldn't see the scenery at all. I went to the public bath, but the bathtub was not very big. Breakfast was also of the quality of a business hotel. The staff 々 was very comfortable and responded to all the little requests. If you think you stayed at a business hotel with hot springs at a reasonable price, I think you had a good stay enough.

We stayed for 2 nights in Standard Twin. It was a parking view, but it was very clean, including the bathroom, although it was not large, and the USB port on the bedside was convenient for charging the smartphone. Also, the amenities dripping coffee and empty refrigerator were good. The room had slippers and snow dags, and I liked the beach sandals, and I was comfortable with snow dags that were not resistant to walking outside. The public bath on the top floor was healed with a clean open-air bath with a good view. I went to 6:00 for two days from 6:00 in the morning, but I think it was good to open a little earlier because it was quite crowded. Breakfast was the same for two days, but there were so many original options that I never got tired. Uwajima slices, tofu and French toast were especially delicious and I ate too much every morning. Access from the city is good and if you have the opportunity to stay at Dogo Onsen, I would like to choose it next time.

Since I arrived at the lobby lounge, the staff was very friendly and I immediately thought it was good to be here. He talked to me about the check-in situation, luggage, and the piano performance at night. The dinner was a half buffet with sashimi and steak, and there were many types of buffets, and the fresh tempura, fresh nigiri sushi, and licking were all fresh and delicious and very satisfying. The room is a twin with a small Japanese-style room, and the aisle, the room and the water area are very clean and clean. The large communal bath is large, and the dressing room is large and very comfortable with tatami mats. Also, the breakfast was very satisfying. The location and access were very good and it was a very good hotel that I wanted to stay again. Thank you very much to the staff. It's very good because there are only a little 30 rooms.

Stayed 2N. The property is locate next to the Dogo Onsen (Japan's oldest onsen) which is undergoing renovations. The hotel is equally old and is designed in a very elegant way. I was assigned a low floor room with a partial view of an ornate stage. I opted for the traditional Japanese room which was very large. The floor was tatami and the futon bed would be setup by the houskeepers in the evening and packed away in the morning. The room came with 4 sizes of yukata for you to choose. The yukata can be worn within the property and even for a walk into town. The room was well appointed and clean . The toilet had a bath and squat shower, and WC in a separate closet. The bed was very comfy. Wifi signal was strong. The AC was on the warm side, but fortunately, I could open the windows to let in fresh air. The highlight was the onsen with indoor and outdoor pools. Located next to the onsen entrance was self-service **free** sake and some sweets for children. Breakfast was served in a banquet hall and with an incredibly large array of choices. All the staff we met were hospitable. Will return.
The location is good. Only 5 mins from the Dogo station and just beside Dogo Onsen. Room wise is not new, but clean and is still on a physical key system. The toilet has a bathtub and hot and cold water is using two tap scrolling system. I didn’t enjoy my sleep as there was a constant knocking sound at the closet which doesn’t seem to be from next door so it gives me the chills. Else it has its own Onsen and provides you with free sake and sweets. Overall I’ll give a 3.5 / 5 stars.

First Shikoku, first Dogo Onsen. The word of mouth has become very late. We stayed at 2023.1.17 1. Stayed in haiku suite. Since it was an early morning flight, I arrived quite early than check-in, so I stopped by the hotel to leave my luggage. A veteran man guided me to the front desk immediately. However, while disappointed by the expressionless and cold response of the young woman at the front desk, it was because of this that I arrived too early, so I asked her to leave her luggage and go sightseeing. And check in. It is not possible that the door of the cleaning tool box right next to the entrance of the room called haiku suite remained empty. (This place remains open all the time during my stay.) The room was clean and of course large, but I think the back of the amenities and the dusty details were not well cleaned. Dinner is at the restaurant. I stayed in a large room, so is it like this when considering the accommodation fee? It was delicious with elegant seasoning, but I have the impression that there were many similar seasonings. I chose Western food for breakfast. It was good to have an extraordinary feeling with the silver lid and an omelet on the white tablecloth. It was a private room-style seat, but there were two tables, the distance from the neighbor was close, and it was too quiet to hear the conversation, so I was uncomfortable. This might have been quite relaxing with room service. The man of the staff who guided me to the room on arrival checked out and told me what I casually asked. I was impatient, so I forgot completely, so I thought I could tell you by extension, etc., but it was probably the hospitality of the person who was not in the manual. I'm sorry that there is no hot water in the bath. Somehow, I wondered if it would be a good inn if I became a regular, but I won't visit again.

Used for relatives' legal affairs with 3 family members. I booked a Japanese-style room because the price was relatively cheap, but the size of the room and the content of the breakfast were good for the price. Especially, it was not a unit bath that is common in business hotels, but the toilet and bath were separate 々, and the bath was quite good because it felt wider than the bath at home. The location was relatively close to the city center, so it was convenient. When I returned home, I thought I would be able to use it next time.

The main entrance is on the main street shopping street. There is a hot spring on the 13th floor (it is said that the water is drawn from Dogo Onsen). After bathing, you can eat free ice cream and read comics. There are popular comics such as Spy House, Demon Slayer, Freelian, and even Red River Bank (who understands my mood at the moment). There is a small bowl of soy sauce ramen at 9:30 every night (it's free, but the taste is not bad at all). The breakfast food is very rich.

This time I visited Matsuyama on a solo trip and stayed at Tokyu REI, who was taken care of in Okinawa. Matsuyama Castle and the shopping street on the Okaido are also nearby, so it is in a very good location. I was very happy to respond comfortably when I made a request for the room at the time of booking. Thanks to that, I was looking forward to check-in and was actually impressed with the room as requested. I think it was tough during the prosperity period, but thanks to your selfishness this time, I was able to make a very memorable trip. And I would like to use it when I visit Matsuyama again. Thank you.

I booked in Agoda and stayed for 8 nights and 9 days for 3200 yen per night. When I stayed last year, it was about 4000 yen per night, so the influence of the corona seems to be large. The advantage is that it is still a cospa. The hotel facilities are in the year, but the cleaning was well done and the front desk was polite and good. As a disadvantage, is it the year of the hotel facilities? Although there is no inconvenience, the oldness is undeniable. Then, the breakfast is a bit high. I paid extra because it was a night stay plan. I ate a lick and a potato heaven, but I thought it was a little high. As a location, there are many convenience stores around, so there is no problem with a little shopping. The supermarket was about 15 minutes walk to the Dogo Onsen area. Don Quixote was also about 10 minutes walk. It is about 5 minutes walk to the big road of the shopping street, and there are many taverns and bars until then. The restaurant was closed or closed at 20 o'clock in the corona, so there was no chance to use the drinker very much. Then get off at the airport bus Okaido station and walk 10 minutes from there. You have to cross the main street, so if you have a big suitcase, taxi may be easier. I also want to stay if I have a chance to stay in Matsuyama.

Located in a place facing Hanazono Cho Dori street for a few minutes walk from Matsuyama city station. Check-in is self-responsive using the machine, I don't know the screen operation if I am not used to it, and after all, check-in while listening to the hotel staff how to operate, and the staff politely taught me... This Pa The hotel in turn is urging the owner of the hotel membership card to save the machine input at check-in. The elevator is a type of touching the room card key to the sensor and pressing the floor button. The whole building and the interior of the room are casual & stylish construction at this time, and it is very beautiful because the day is shallow from the opening, and wifi is generally good with down sliding up. The breakfast space on the first floor was a library cafe from day to night, and coffee and lemon water were free, and the library shelf was like Matsuyama, and the book of clouds on the slope was free. In addition, there is a free coffee machine next to the front desk. There is no public bath in the hotel, so you can go to Dogo Onsen by iyo iron for 20 minutes and 170 yen, so I wonder if I avoided competition without being sold by the hotel... I was able to spend comfortably in a new and beautiful hotel. This time I left early in the morning, so I couldn't get a free breakfast.

Anyway, it is a convenient location. It is saved because transportation is in front of you wherever you go. Especially, the limousine bus to the airport departs from the front of you, so it is good to have your luggage at the hotel until the last minute and act. The hotel is beautiful and there is a large communal bath so you can get rid of your tiredness. Breakfast is also delicious, and I especially like licking every time I go. The service of the front desk also listened to this hope. I thought it was a service that didn't overdo it and the lessons from the corona disaster were alive. It is a hotel that I want to use when I go to Matsuyama again.

My mother is 83 years old and in a wheelchair. We always use this hotel to visit our grandchildren in Matsuyama. We are from Tokushima Prefecture, and we are truly grateful for all the care you have given us. We are looking forward to staying here again in November when we visit our grandchildren. From my mother and daughter, we would like to thank both the male and female staff.

Great location. Easy walk to Matsuyma Castle. Right next door to Okaido shopping gallery with restaurants, convenience stores etc. Chose this hotel because of photos of the Skyspa - on top floor of hotel, indoor & outdoor. Especially great at night sitting in the outdoor spa looking at the city lights. Friendly staff, helpful. Beautiful, modern hotel. Easily accessible by tram from JR Matsuyama heading for Dogo Onsen. And as with many places in Japan where little Englsih is spoken - please be patient and polite

Located in front of the main building of Dogo Onsen, it was an outstanding location. Use GO TO travel and use it in 1 room 2 names. Breakfast and Dogo Onsen bathing tickets were 2 names, and the total price was 1 million 2 thousand yen. There is a step on the ceiling of the room, and it is devised a little different from the usual business hotel. Breakfast was a popular shop sushi Maru on the 1 floor in the building, but it is a very ordinary Japanese meal for breakfast. However, the white rice was quite delicious.
