Beautiful location, very central to museums and others key areas. Amazing old hospital that is nicely renovated and decorated. Top of line restaurants and spa and fitness facility. The rooms are tiny for the price and category but the bathrooms are nicely organized. Many of the customer facing staff members do not speak Dutch which is embarrassing for the venue as clearly many customers do speak Dutch. Signs are often just in English even when involving safety. Suggests the place should enhance customer orientation.
The hotel is an ancient building back to 1238. Now change it to a hotel with greenery inside. The service is superb. The room is a bit small because it is an ancient building. Inside is a simple design. The location is convenient to walk to the Central Railway Station for 15 minutes. There are 5 restaurants including Michelin one star. You can try.

There are still cans of glass beer bottles in the refrigerator when entering the hotel. 2. Five days of staying, remind them that they have not received it. 3. Customer service phone is not very willing to answer. There is often a need to contact. 4.The quality of the hair dryer is not high The sink is easy to accumulate water 6. There are spider silk in the ceiling lamp Others are still comfortable, the environment is good

This is a fantastic place to stay. Beautifully designed with cool cosmopolitan rooms. A nice touch was the Le Labo toiletries in the bathroom. The rooms are quiet and the bar and dining areas super cool. Would make a great hotel for a couple on a citybreak. An underground car park is useful if a little expensive.

If you want to stay somewhere really special in Antwerp, this is your place. De Gulde Schoen is a really old building, refurbished over several years and turned into a boutique suite hotel with soul. When we arrived the staff prepared a welcome drink, invited us to the bar and gave us a great introduction to Antwerp. Friendly, informative, smart, not pushy. Really loved the staff. If your in Antwerp for business you will be happy to experience fast internet, something we lacked at other locations. We had breakfast in our room and it was one of the best room service experiencs in a long time. The service felt 5-star. Without the uptight nature of posh hotels. This has been my most enjoyable stay in years. Expensive? Yes, but worth it for a special occasion. Bonus: the subtle scent and the jazz playing when you open the door to your suite for the first time. A lovely welcome.
Fantastic location as just few mins walk away from main cathedral and where all the restaurants and bars are. Great value for money too. We went with another couple and their apartment was stunning with a huge open plan bathroom and wooden and tiled floors throughout, definitely had the wow factor when you walked in! Our was very nice too but was not as open planned on two levels and the light coloured carpet was very grubby looking which was a real shame as the apartment itself had every thing you needed and was clearly a high calibre accommodation. It had a fabulous shower but be careful of the glass doors as there are no stickers on them and we both walked into them at least once during our stay as you can forget they’re closed - especially in the dark!! Definitely happy to recommend for a short stay in Antwerp.

Due to my booking error at another hotel we ended up at the FranQ. An awesome stay from check in to check out. The room was beautiful and very clean. Our dining experience was made great by Iren the bartender. It was not very busy and she spent time with us and fully explained the menu. You can tell she is proud to be working there and it showed.
We absolutely loved this hotel, one of the best I have stayed in. The rooms are furnished to a high standard, the staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly, the breakfast is incredible, the lounge and bar have such a lovely ambience, it is quite small but all the better for it. We will definitely return again!

Beautiful and sparkling new and clean hotel! Great service lovely products and a good stay. My Only comment was that the ‘plant based’ kitchen offered real bacon and eggs for breakfast. Stick to your principles! This felt very unauthentic. Tiny gripe for a beautiful hotel

We spent one night here and since we travelled by car it was convenient to be able to let ourselves in at a time that suited us, as their check in times are from 3pm-6pm. It is a very tiny street front and easy to miss, but we were sent via email detailed instructions and a picture of the store front next to it. The car parking (paid) is directly across the road, we parked on arrival and left the car there the next day while we went exploring, as the hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to most things. We had the Penthouse which was very clean and comfortable, with a nice personalised note and local cookies waiting for us on arrival. It is definitely suited to couples only as the bathroom opened onto the living area. The blinds on the windows are operated by an electronic system, there were plates and cutlery to use, a mini fridge, microwave, tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer and slippers. The drawbacks were that we found our room to be very hot, even though it wasn't a hot day and with only a fan to cool things down it would be very hot and stuffy on a hot day and the blinds did not block out all the light so if you like a dark room to sleep in, this room would not suit. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay

After traveling through Amsterdam, north of France, 3 cities in Belgium and being disappointed with almost every hotel, our stay at this hotel was finally superb. Clean, friendly staff, centrally located in Antwerp, and the view of Central station during the day and night was just stunning. Upon arrival I requested view to Central Station and the attendant wasted no time to grant the request. All we had to do was join the hotel’s rewards program, which we did without hesitation, and my wish was granted. Our room was upgraded at no cost and we were not disappointed. Ground public parking conveniently located under hotel. Plenty of restaurants around. Chocolate Nation Museum literally 10 steps away. The room was big and comfortable. Bathroom too. Great blow drier lol. Toiletries provided including toothbrush, comb, bath salts…. We were truly impressed. Highly recommended if you’re on leisure or a business trip.

Berchem Antwerp|3.18km from city center
For the most part the hotel is nice enough, especially for the price. Location is about 10 mins walk from a train station, which is one stop away from Antwerp Central. The staff at check in are friendly and professional. The big cons for us were these two situations; 1) When we got to our room and started settling down, I spotted underwear (previous occupants') which had found its way under one of the furniture in the room. It turned out to be clean but we informed reception on our way out into the city and they quickly apologised and had someone sent to our room to clear that out. - Cleaners could do a better job giving one last check when cleaning rooms between occupants, though I do understand that the days we were there was when the hotel was fully booked. But still. 2) That night, around 11.30pm when we were in our room with the window shut, we started hearing people shouting like hooligans from outside on the street -- so we shouted at them from our room o keep quiet as it was late and shut the window again. Then we started hearing these guys (4 or 5 of them) shout at us to go down and fight them (?) and asking us what our room number was (??). We also saw them trying to count the floors and windows. Obviously we didn't tell them, but we informed reception. About an hour later, there was VERY loud banging on our door and shouting for us to come out, once again we called reception and after a while the shouts stopped. We didn't feel very safe even to go out to the smoking area, so we called reception for some kind of help or assurance (and later on went down to talk to the person at reception at the time (the night reception, named Wim) to which we were told that; - Ppl shouting at us from the street below for our room number to go down to fight, & the people banging on our door to come out and fight was *apparently* not the same ppl. - Ppl banging on our door, was apparently a drunkard banging on everyone's door, and may not even have been a customer of theirs (which is extremely unlikely). - That we shouldn't have shouted back at them to keep quiet, because apparently it was fine to be shouting on the street directly outside the hotel up till 2am. The entire time he didn't apologise for the disturbance or reassure us even once that we would be safe - only said that they could help to call the police if something happened. -- Basically the night reception was really bad, and I was honestly worried for our safety that first night. Wasn't great.

The Hampton by Hilton Antwerp Central Station offers a convenient and comfortable stay. Its prime location near the central station provides easy access to local attractions. The modern rooms are well-equipped and maintained, ensuring a pleasant experience. The complimentary breakfast buffet provides a satisfying start to the day. The attentive staff members are friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests have noted limited space in the rooms and occasional noise from the surrounding area. Overall, it remains a favorable choice for travelers seeking a well-located, affordable accommodation option in Antwerp.

If you want staff to do absolutely nothing about someone breaking into your room then this is the hotel for you. I was staying here with my friend in a room on the second floor. Someone tried to break into our room by kicking our door three times. We couldn't reach reception by phone call, I tried texting reception. They messaged us on Whatsapp to not worry and that we are safe even though a person kept trying to break in. They didn't try coming down to our room to check if we were okay. Didn't care about our safety. We then had to call the police and they were taking a long time to get there so we called again only to be told by the 112 operator that the staff weren't letting the police into the hotel. Finally they were let in after our door was being kicked at for an hour. The police were useless since they didn't even check if the area was safe before telling us to just sleep and enjoy our holiday. We wanted to see CCTV footage because there was a camera in our corridor. We went to reception, and a member of staff told us that he had the cctv ready for us because he guessed that we would want to see it. He showed us the recording of the corridor and told us ”see there's no one in front of your door”. But my friend and I noticed that the time stamp was covered by a black rectangle but you can see a bit of the number underneath it. The bottom of the digits could still be seen and clearly read 2 am and not 1 am which is when the incident occurred. When we told him that this is live footage and that we want to see the recording of the 1 am incident, he kept telling us ”no there's no one in front of the door” until he finally admitted to us that this was live footage and that he needs the manager to access the 1 am footage. This seemed sketchy. Why the need to lie about it? We stayed at reception as we were too scared to go back to our room. At around 3 am we decided to try going back. After being in the room for just 10 minutes, someone tried to break down our door again. This time the 112 operator hung up on us and we didn't try calling reception since they proved to be useless. At 3:50am I called a girl from our University course who was on the same floor. She luckily found no one at the door and so we ran down to reception. We stayed at reception all night and didn't sleep. Staff were no help apart from that same staff member offering us ”very stiff alcoholic drinks to help us relax”, that's how he put it, we of course refused but he kept coming back and offering us drinks despite us saying no repeatedly. At around 8 am I saw our lecturer from our course at reception so we went with him to see the cctv footage. At first the manager said that she can't show it to us. When our lecturer said that we'll go to the police then she changed her answer. Before even showing the footage she said ”I looked through the footage earlier and saw that it was a door nearby making the noise because it kept being opened and closed”. We insisted to see the CCTV s

Friendly counter and allowed to go to my twin room 4 hours early. Very clean hotel with towels and water supplied. No kettle but I think this must Bea Belgian thing. The station is opposite but it is 20 min walk to the old town. Fine for me but some may want to be nearer. The walk there is the main shopping street. Overall I think it was great value. As a note to other guests, and I always write this, please be more considerate when talking in the corridors especially before 8am. Whisper, your voice echoes and sound meds like you’re shouting. The hotel is located 5 mins walk from Central Station (down the side, not towards the front), so great when arriving by train. Easy to walk to the main parts of town. Check in was at a couple of tables to the left of the entrance. Had a clean twin room and even after we pushed the 2 beds apart properly, there was plenty of space. Large bathroom with plenty of space around and under the sink for personal toiletries, although nice hotel toiletries (hand wash, moisturizer, shampoo and conditioner) were supplied. For some reason we had 2 shampoos in the walk in shower and when we told housekeeping when going out and asked for shower gel, we were left with another shampoo. This was not an issue though as we'd brought our own stuff so just used that instead. Complimentary bottle of still water provided every day which was nice, although the tap water is perfectly clean and drinkable. Flavoured (fresh mint or fruit) water, apples and gummies provided on a table near the entrance/exit, which was a nice touch. Staff very friendly and helpful. We didn't have the breakfast at the hotel as there are so many other options nearby in the town and our main reason for going to Antwerp was to eat locally.

We have reserved this hotel using a Bongo check and we have been pleasantly surprised by this new hotel, very conveniently located within a few hundred metres from the Central Train Station in Antwerp, that provides for everything a traveller needs in terms of accommodation and is at the top of technology as it states: it's connected. The staff is very nice and helpful and we really had a great stay. I warmly recommand it. And, as a little bonus, they are very accommodating when it comes to the four paw members of our families.

I thought hard about giving this hotel a 3, but on balance think it is fair. In many respects it could score 4 but crucially the sound proofing and specifically the flooring to the bedrooms is inadequate. We were kept awake an hour the first night until the night receptionist kindly called the room above after midnight to ask them to remove their footwear / stop pacing. The second night closing doors above woke us briefly but then the third night there were comings and goings on our floor between several rooms around 3am for 45 mins and we heard it all. Hopefully the hotel will consider doing further works to mitigate this for future guests. Otherwise we found the hotel / bed comfortable, the mostly continental breakfast was fine (fresh juices, fruit, cereals, breads, meat / cheese & pastries) and the bar food did the job on the last night. Its a 25 min walk into the interesting / lively old town where we spent most of our trip, but reception will call you a taxi that costs around 15 Euros if that is too far or it is raining. MAS is worth a visit including the view from the top.

Had a nice stay at the hotel. It was clean and tidy. Did not use breakfast service. The only point of criticism was that the use of the car park was not notified in advance by the tour company that it was Euro 19 per day. Paid half in the end. There was also no information bulletin in the room about the facilities in the hotel. (safe/breakfast/telephone/lighting/TV remote control/cleaning)

Basic, very unimpressive stay, we arrived late and had a family room. A double + single for my teenage child. They must have given us the worst room in the hotel. The room was dark and dingy, window opened up to a brick wall not far away, and the single bed was placed in a tiny room not much bigger than the single bed. Very claustrophobic. In fact could have been used as a cupboard. My suggestion is to open up the room and remove the wall and move everything around. My child slept with me in the bed. I would not have expected her to sleep in that tiny boxed up area. It just did not feel nice. So all 3 of us slept in the double bed. We didn't have any spare pillows when I requested spares. We didn't have a shower gel either, and the bath towels were so small they didn't even wrap around you I was pretty disappointed and requested to be moved. They moved us the next day. The room had a double bed and a sofa bed. Well, I don't know which was worse. That sofa bed was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor. The breakfast was limited. They best day was Sunday, and we noticed each day that we had less on the buffet as the days went on. The cornflakes were stale. The pancakes miserable. No hot items other than eggs and beans. Just very basic. We chose this hotel because of the parking. However, because we had a big car, we were told it would not fit in the car park. Therefore, the only good thing that was good about this hotel was the location which is close to shops and restaurants and the train station. I did speak to the reception manager the next day and stated my points. She was polite and helpful. Took my points on board. However, I'm not sure if anything will be done about it! For a 4 star hotel and the money we paid per night I would expect more! I don't think I would come back again.
