Located in the port area of ​​Düsseldorf, it is not very close to the city. It takes about 25 minutes to reach the city by public transportation. The various services during the stay were satisfactory. There was nothing amazing, but there was no problem. The room has a separate dressing table partition, so the rest area is not large, which is a problem. The snacks in the lounge of the executive room I booked were delicious, which was a highlight. Overall, considering the price of the hotel in Germany, it is cost-effective.

This hotel is the BEST in Dusseldorf. The service is beyond exceptional (esp Masood and Daniel- they went out of their way) The location is fantastic. Close enough to the old town and right across the beautiful Konigsalle shops and beautiful tree and water lined avenue. Great rooms and beautiful lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The Melia Hotel has deeply disappointed me and I cannot emphasize enough how much I despise this kind of unprofessional behavior. If such treatment were to happen in America, it would be unimaginable and would have immediate consequences. The observations I made at the hotel were anything but fair and friendly. It was clear that the staff was not only dishonest, but also intentionally trying to deceive the guests. This is unacceptable in any way, and I can only hope that the hotel is aware of the consequences. In the future, I will definitely avoid the Melia Hotel as well as all other hotels in this chain. There are so many other alternatives that care for their guests and maintain an authentic relationship with them. An institution like Melia should not be supported if they practice such tactics. There are truly better options that deserve to be supported.

We searched for hotels in the city centre and compared many of them and unfortunately for the price and value didn't match. We have had great experiences with Van Der Valk (minus their incredibly low quality property in Vervier Belgium). At first because of this location being near airport didn't seem convenience since we were driving with our own car and needed a parking. We called them and they said that there is a tram directly outside the property that goes to the city centre (take the option of purchasing 4tickets for 10euros for two people). Private parking is included in the price vs the hotels in the city centre that have added charges (ranging up to 25 per day and most aren't private). The hotel surrounding seemed very open with no other visible buildings around and a wonderful walk path and green areas (for those of you interested in morning walks or pets), The reception seemed open and large and quite modern with professional team at the reception desk. We arrived in the evening, checked in, came to the bar which was beautiful and packed with people (professional bartender but a service was a bit slow since there was only one bartender), the room was fairly large (as opposed to the more expensive ones in the city centre), large bathroom with a bathtub, separate shower stall, toilet and sink counter (place for the shower head was there but was missing- maybe on purpose but wasn't a big deal - after a long day of drive and walks the bath was fantastic- it was missing the slippers and bathrobes which I asked the reception), the room included a coffee machine, big tv screen, beautiful and comfortable seating area, plenty of closet space. The only one negative point was that the room for two (couples) included two separate beds but put together which the opening in between wasn't pleasant for a couple. The bedding quality was great. The breakfast spread was great with a wonderful staff (it was horrible in their sister property at Vervier Belgium) and great green scenery. Overall, we were very happy to choose this hotel over those at the city centre which by the way many of them you had to pay extra for breakfast and parking. If you want peace and quiet and safe property and great value for your buck then I recommend this property. Note to the Management: please reconsider your bed choices for the couples and tell Vervier not to ruin your brand's reputation and start shaping up.

It's a very good hotel. I really like it. The environment and hardware are very good. The location is superior, the scenery is beautiful, the service is considerate, the praise is great. I will stay next time
