I got shoved in the hotel by my unruly neighbour at 3:30AM. Got up in the middle of the night from loud noises next door. I called the hotel management to complain about the noise, nothing changed. 10 mins later I call them again and ask them if they’ve identified where the noise is coming from; they say it’s the room next door. I tell them to get it under control or I’m going to march up to the room myself. 15 mins later it’s still noisy and I go to the next door room myself and the drunk guy there shoves me. The waiter who was standing there does nothing about it. I go to the front desk; the duty manager gets informed only after the incident and I’m asked if I want my room changed; so I’m supposed to bear the inconvenience and the insult instead of the hotel managing the drunk guy

Our experience at the Cecil Oberoi Hotel was a lovely one. Our room was so comfortable with the option of choosing your own pillows. The meals with a lot to choose from. Every evening main dishes on offer changed, which was nice as we got to try different dishes. A special shout to the staff - they were brilliant! The Restaurant team were accommodating. We were impressed with Nupur's warmth and excellent customer service. She made an effort to converse with us and even remembered the way I drank my coffee. I booked in a facial and received fantastic treatment from Nelubli who did my facial. THANK YOU to the entire Team! The Wildflower Hall - a part of the Cecil Oberoi Group was a great experience too. From the regal uniform of the staff, to the High Tea to the grand rooms with intricate woodwork, everything was so immaculate. The views from outside the Hall were stunning. If you visit Shimla, don't miss out on touring the Wildflower Hall and experiencing the High Tea.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Especially the Restaurant Manager Mr. Bhandari and his team including Karun. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The team here truly knows how to make guests feel special. The room was upgraded , Himachali food was served to taste the delicacy of Hills. Extremely beautiful possible.

The WoodVista Cottages are situated in a little offbeat village - Bakhog - in the Theog District in Shimla, Himachal. It is a serene location tucked away from the hubbubs and the rush of the now very commercial city of Shimla. Being around 25 kilometers from the Shimla, the approach involves a bit of an off road drive (approximately 20 minutes from the main highway) - but something easily manageable in any vehicle - even if you drive a sedan. Reaching there, you will find a warm welcoming reception from happy to help people - the friendly estate manager, Vikas and his excellent team of associates (especially Neha and Goldie). The whole estate is surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden of indigenous mountain flora, and lot of sprawling, natural jungles all around. And not to forget the abounding apple trees! For your stay, they have the option of 7-8 cottages, each built using specific types of wood and aptly named as well - the cottages have had their fair share of hosting several celebrities too! Ask Vikas and he will surely have some stories to share! Also, some of their cottages have duplex setups ***** with kitchenettes too - if you want to do some home cooking while on vacation. Taking about fun - they have something to keep your family members engaged - like cycling, Badminton and even a snooker table! They also provide free Internet (Wi-Fi) with good enough speeds (workation anyone?). And if you are the adventurous kind, exploring around is mighty fun as there are many trails to take and every day can be a different journey. Mind you, it is essentially a jungle all around, so keep walking and you can never know what you find! But if you are here just to relax, have some quiet time, maybe catch up on your yesterdays with your drive-along-friends (over beer of course), that’s fine too! Sit outside in the wide open porch and chat under the stars with your favorite drinks in hand! Not to mention, they also have some highly skillful folks in the kitchen, who work their magic with fresh, home grown vegetables, fresh picked and grounded spices, and dishes ranging from the awesome Pahadi Chicken - a local delight for the chicken lovers and for the vegetarians - the excellent Paneer Lababdar! So plan your one true chance to be one with nature. Welcome to your calling!

We had booked 3 rooms for our family at Radisson Kufri from 30th April to 3rd May 2022. The property is new, clean and has a lovely view. I particularly liked the lobby which had an 'old English inn' appeal to it. The rooms are well-decorated and are decent sized. After reading some reviews on the internet, we had booked superior rooms but realized that they have a 'wall view'. Specially the superior rooms in the wing which has the restaurant are very dark because they have a wall very close to the window. If you are interested in a good view, then either request for superior rooms with valley view at the time of booking or book a delux room. We had one superior room in the restaurant wing which we were slightly unhappy about. The hotel upgraded us to a delux room in the other wing the next day after check-in and did not charge us anything extra for it. Really appreciate this! I would like to thank Siddharth, Aditya, Rahul and others for ensuring that we had a pleasant stay. Considering that Radisson Kufri is a five-star property away from Shimla town, expect the food prices to be on the higher side. But the restaurant amazed us with yummy food during our entire stay. The breakfast buffet had an elaborate spread and everything was delicious. We also tried the dinner buffet on our last night and were again not disappointed by the quality and taste of food. Special thanks to Chef Rajesh Rana for himself checking on with us about the food quality and also the complimentary beetroot halwa which was very tasty. One of the family members was fasting on one of the days and had certain dietary restrictions which were catered to well by the chef. Some things that the hotel can improve on in the future would be to add more staffs at the restaurant during breakfast (they are already working on this). The hotel can also carry out periodic inspections of the entire facility for regular maintenance. For example - There was a bit of a leakage into the bedroom from a small gap between the bathroom glass and the wall in one of the rooms that we stayed in. Other than these minor issues, the staffs at Radisson Kufri left no stone unturned to delight us regularly with their service. I would definitely recommend staying here.
