Aman Tokyo sets a new standard for exceptional hard products. Despite a mishap on our first night when we returned from dinner to find our room uncleaned, the front desk manager promptly apologized and offered complimentary drinks. The head of housekeeping also personally apologized at breakfast and showered us with thoughtful gestures like a fruit platter and free laundry. Subsequently, our stay was faultless. Aman Tokyo also boasts stunning design and architecture and a strategic location near Otemachi station, Tokyo station, the Imperial Palace, and Ginza. Its awe-inspiring atrium leaves a lasting impression. The generously sized rooms, starting at 70 square meters, feature high ceilings throughout, with unforgettable views of the imperial gardens from the bed. Even the retractable TV showcases its thoughtful design, providing guests with an unobstructed view of the Tokyo skyline. The hotel's farewell was equally remarkable. Providing a complimentary hotel car transfer to Tokyo station, while being escorted by another staff member who went the extra mile to purchase our tickets, carry our luggage to the platform, store our luggage on the train and brought us to our seats. Undoubtedly, this luxury at Aman Tokyo comes at a price. However, delivers the sought-after wow factor for which its rates command. After all, Tokyo is one of the most expensive cities in the world. From the grand lobby to the inviting pool and spacious rooms, the hotel impresses on many levels. Managing expectations is, however, key. It would be unrealistic to expect the usual Aman-type of service commonly associated with their other properties whose room counts are a lot smaller. While the initial mishap was regrettable, the subsequent personalized attention and meticulous service surpassed expectations for a city hotel with 80 rooms. Whether this was due to the initial mishap or reflective of their usual standards remains unknown, warranting another stay on my next visit to Tokyo.

Aman Tokyo is definitely amongst the top 3 hotels in Tokyo, if not the best when it comes to the rooms. The lobby is spacious although perhaps too happening if you are used to quieter Aman surroundings (in the past it was for hotel guests only now anyone can access the bar), but the rooms, gym and pool are top notch, with some nice restaurant offerings. You will not be let down in this place.

The hotel is in a great location. The hardware is very good. The service is also very warm. The breakfast is quiet and delicious. The view outside the window is invincible. I stayed for three days. It was a very good experience

Great view and convenient transportation. The front desk staff has many languages. It’s a luxury hotel worth experiencing. The bar upstairs is also delicious. The gym and swimming pool are both great.

It is located on the edge of Tokyo's political circle and has convenient transportation. The service is nothing special. The hotel room is more Japanese-style and warm. The circular passage is quite convenient for two people to live in, and hygienic Japanese hotels are quite clean, so there is no need to worry! The restaurant in the hotel needs to be booked in advance~

Everything was perfect. We also got lucky to be walking by Hibiya Koen (park) and viewed amazing fall colors right in the middle of Tokyo.

Because this is a new hotel, many drivers don't know how to enter. In fact, it has a special hotel parking entrance that leads directly to the hotel. In addition, if you take the subway, you can go directly to the hotel from Kamiyacho and Roppongi-itchome Station. The subway sign is to go to Azabudai. Figure 1 is the entrance to Azabudai Central Plaza. Turn left and take the elevator to the lobby. As for the hotel, everything is good and it can be regarded as a top hotel. But if you use the name of Aman and the high price, I always feel that the price-performance ratio is not appropriate. In addition, the hotel's small details are not as good as when it opened, which is a bit wrong. What I didn't expect was that there was still a decoration smell in the elevator.
- Anonymous User
Knowing that the world's first Janu opened in Tokyo, as an Aman Junkie, of course I have to visit it on a certain day. The hotel is located in Azabudai Hills, a new landmark in Tokyo, and it took 30 years to build. The hotel's building materials are very sophisticated, and the style is close to Aman, but more dynamic than Aman. If Aman is I, Janu is E. When I checked in, I was upgraded to a suite because of a small incident. The speed of handling the problem is worthy of praise. The breakfast is ordered, quiet and elegant. You can go downstairs to stroll around in your spare time. It is very similar to Taikoo Li in Shanghai. I will stay there again next time if I have the chance.

Wonderful hotel where even the smallest details have been well thought through. I don't usually write long reviews but I have so many good things to say about this hotel. We stayed here twice during our honeymoon in Japan, for two nights at the start of the trip and three nights at the end. The two rooms we had were both fantastic with amazing views over the Imperial gardens. Every member of staff was kind and friendly, they greeted the guests in such a genuine and warm manner. Breakfast was delicious - we enjoyed the buffet, and the Japanese style breakfast. They serve lots of different teas, coffees, and juices. We had a few shots of the very healthy green juice which was surprisingly tasty! The bar is very chic and it has a long cocktail list. It has a very glamorous aesthetic, with glossy floors and cute tables to enjoy a drink. We had dinner on the terrace on our last night; the food was fabulous. We thought it was quite reasonably priced (we're used to London prices!) for the set menus, with wine pairings. It was well worth the price. The wine is great and we really enjoyed chatting to the sommelier about his speciality, Californian wines. The rooms have lots of storage, and we had two TVs (one in the bedroom, one in the bathroom). We had a bath, and a separate shower cubicle. The loos feature classic Japanese high tech which is quite interesting. We were given pyjamas, slippers, and dressing gowns in our rooms. There were lovely toileteries including a whole set of facial cleansers, toners, and moisturisers, as well as bath oils and salts. We even got some steam eye masks which were so luxurious. They have toothbrushes in case you have forgotten your own! The hotel has easy access to the underground system, and you can walk to the main Tokyo station in around 10 minutes. It's close to lots of shopping centres with cafes and restaurants. There's also a beautiful Starbucks next door - I'd definitely recommend trying the Japanese Starbucks! It's really different from the UK and has some great treats. The concierges are helpful and knowledgable. They booked me in for a wash and blow dry (reasonably priced for a city centre hairdresser at around £26 at the Shisheido salon which uses high quality products). They also arranged tickets for the Tokyo Skytree, and they recommended places to visit and various restaurants. We really relied on their expertise, and they were so generous with their time. All in all, we had an amazing and very memorable experience at this hotel. We hope we'll be lucky enough to return one day again.

Very nice stay at the Palace Hotel. We had a fairly large room with a balcony on the 23rd floor with a beautiful view and club level services. Although the room was large, the layout made it feel a bit cramped. We had room service a couple of times and there was only one chair, so one of us had to sit on the bed. I think they could use some better spatial design. Service was generally excellent, although there was some confusion when the club concierge was arranging train tickets for us, requiring some extra calls. One strange thing: I swim laps for exercise and use a snorkel. For some reason, they told me I couldn't use a snorkel in the pool. They didn't explain why, and I have swam throughout the world and never heard this before. Weird and a little irritating. In spite of these small complaints, I would definitely stay there again.

When I stayed at the Ginza EDITION for the first time, my first impression was that it looked like the lobby of the London EDITION. It would have been nice if the black tea smell was stronger. The service at the front desk is very considerate. The hotel's area is not as large as Toranomon, and parking is not convenient, but the location is indeed superior, the room space is larger than Toranomon, the bathroom is about the same, and the overall tone is darker. Will come again next time I have a chance.
- Xiangyeyaji
This is a hotel with a great location for shopping in Ginza, but I have to complain that the entrance is really small. It is easy to miss it when you first go there. Bulgari next door is much more conspicuous. Breakfast is ordered, which is not bad. The room is not too big, but it is enough to live in. In a place where every inch of land is valuable, you can't be too demanding.

The location of the hotel is very good, quiet in the middle of nowhere, it is very convenient to visit Harajuku and Shibuya, it is a little walk to the subway station. There is a convenience store next to the hotel, and there is a restaurant with a roast bird at the door of the hotel, open until 11pm. I will stay in the next time, just a little popular and not very good room.
- LINBO
Checked in for the second time, very stylish boutique design hotel, a little distance from the subway, you need to walk ten to fifteen minutes. But in a very quiet area, there are very good shops around, and it is also close to Omotesando. The bar is great and the skewer is great. One of the trendiest hotels in Tokyo.

Hotel opened less than a year ago. Everything is new and the design is very modern. Location is in the middle of Shinjuku so it was close to everything. The hotel staff was very attentive and the connection between the lobby (on the 18th floor) to the concierge in the ground floor was always in sync. Breakfast at the main hotel had a great view for a nice clear day but selection is limited. They have a second buffet in their neighbour hotel (17th floor) that has more selection. I would not really recommend this hotel for younger kids due to its design but overall great hotel.
- Lazgolf
The hotel is located above the 43rd floor of Kabukicho Tower. The feeling of tidying up is that people are more expensive than others. First-class service and first-class environment. It is a real pleasure to stay in a hotel with a floor area of more than 40 square meters in Japan. Overlooking half of Tokyo, I feel very happy here after going on a business trip to wholesale.

Very good. Let me tell you that I am really satisfied. First of all, there is an elevator at the entrance of this hotel, and you can go down to Tokyo Station, which is very, very convenient. However, it is recommended to go to the ground, because the subway Tokyo Station line is very chaotic, and it takes only 2 minutes to take the ground exit. The transportation is very convenient👍 In addition, if you want to store your luggage and go out to play after arriving there, it is also very convenient. Give it to the housekeeper, and he will put your luggage directly in the room for you. The room is quite big. The most important thing is that the hot water is hot enough and strong. If you don’t like the hot water, you can turn it down. I like the kind of super high water pressure for bathing. Very satisfied

The service attitude is very good, but there are only 2-3 people checking in and checking out, which is not enough. There will be a lot of queues. Although there will be helpful receptionists to ask for reservation information in advance, it will still take a long time. The advantage of the lobby is that it is on a high floor. The privacy is good. There is a dedicated elevator to get to the guest room, but the disadvantage is that you need to go to the elevator every time you go out/come back. Compared with the accommodation experience eleven years ago, the facilities feel obviously outdated. Breakfast is not a buffet but an a la carte menu. I don’t know how often it changes, but it is the same for two consecutive days. Although there are many ways to prepare eggs, the appetizers, salads and fruits are the same. It may be a bit boring if you eat it for two more days. Freshly baked bread will be served. Come here and let me choose, but they are all shortening and French tart, which are quite greasy. Several kinds of homemade yogurt are good. The puddings are all sweet. When I ordered on the first day, I ordered pancake as the main dish, which was relatively normal. The waffle that came with the second day was also shortened. The chocolate after housekeeping is delicious. There are two kinds of dark chocolate and milk chocolate. The hotel’s chocolate lobby restaurant also sells it. It's not too far away from Roppongi Tower. It's about 1.00km or 10.20 minutes walk. You can see the night view of Tokyo Tower from a distance.
- DioYJ
I booked a deluxe twin room with double basins and a wide view. The breakfast is rich in variety and the bread is very authentic. The surrounding transportation is convenient, and it is convenient to go shopping in Ginza The lady who checked in was very classy and the service was very attentive. They will communicate with you in the simplest English, so don't be afraid, speak English words boldly, and they will use software to translate them into Chinese for you.

The hotel is magnificent, with the luxury of the last century. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. After staying, you will feel the attentive service everywhere. Problems are dealing quickly and efficiently. If you sit near the window in the restaurant on the 17th floor, you can enjoy the view of Hibiya Park and the garden of Imperial Palace. Ginza is also within easy walking distance and Takarazuka Theatre is nearby. When you need a taxi, there is always one waiting to serve you. An extremely comfortable stay. We were wowed the second we step into our hotel rooms, amazed by the wonderful beds and beautiful toilets specifically designed to be as spacious as possible, making it one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It was a welcomed surprise when we saw RESTAURANTS and LAWSON right inside the hotel, such that it takes less than FIVE minutes to buy food to enjoy inside our rooms, which are equipped with a vintage desk that serves as both our dining table as well as our makeup table. As for attractions nearby, it’s like icing on cake. With train stations close by and an iconic amusement park right outside our hotel windows, it is more ideal than we expected it to be. Here, we’d like to especially recommend the restaurant on 2/F that serves roasted meat, Thunder Dolphin, and Water Drop. These locations brought immense joy to our family. Regarding services, the hotel check-in and check-out services are convenient and operates 24 hours a day, with helpful staff stationed nearby ready to help us anytime anyday. The hotel rooms are also diligently cleaned by the sanitary staff. Overall, a definite 10 out of course 10 stay.

To be honest, if you wish to have a nice view of Tokyo Tower, then this hotel would be a great choice. Otherwise, you may want to consider somewhere else in this price range. I absolutely adore this hotel! It’s in a great location in Ginza about a 15 minute walk from all of the major attractions within Ginza. It also has a lot of great restaurants around and has easy access to the metro, buses and the airport bus. I was also very happy with the hotel staff as they were so helpful with anything I needed. The room was still quite small considering it’s a Tokyo however, the lobby spaces nice and big so you could go and relax there and enjoy a lot of free refreshment, such as coffee or tea. Highly recommend anyone who wants to stay in Ginza and wants an onsen within the hotel as well. Can't explain the joy of coming back after a long day of 25k steps and soaking in an onsen. The hotel provides a bathrobe & outdoor slippers (not for room) so you can use that to move about the hotel. The onsen has shower gel, shampoo and conditioner as well, so all you have to do is bring a towel that the hotel also provides. For anyone wondering, the hotel also has a coin operated washer and dryer. Can't remember the exact cost, but one cycle of washing and drying probably amounted to about 300 yen! Worth it to avoid doing laundry at home. For the room itself, although it is small, with some expert maneuvering, we were able to open up 1 large and 1 small luggage to pack things. The is a typical Japanese sized room aka small, but it's rather functional so it works if you're just looking to get some shut eye. All in all, I recommend this hotel!

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi Tokyo|1.83km from city center
I have to say I was excited and looked forward to my stay. At the end. I don’t think it was worth it. And it was because of what Hoshinoya Tokyo is, it is a ryokan, not a hotel, and it is a Japanese chain. It was not imbued with the spirit of providing utmost comfort and pampering to its guest. It is more focused on the onsen, the Japanese culture, and the provision of daily meals.

It is not where you should stay to hear a lot of Yes. No concierge service, so they won’t help you get a reservation because they provide meals in the ryokan (which hotel doesn’t?). No early check in or courtesy late check out. If you want to check out late, it’s 9,000 JPY per hour - even when it doesn’t cost the hotel anything. No currency exchange service. If you want to order meals, you have to place the order the day before. No bathrobe provided, and when asked, first they said they didn’t have them, then they provided but warned me I should only wear them inside the room (I don’t remember a time in my life when I wore bathrobe walking around any hotel), and that since the quantity was limited, they would not change the bathrobe during my stay - it all sounded like a conversation I would have with my school principal, one that was not so friendly.

The fancy picture of the centerpiece which flooded Instagram was one place on the hallway, first floor, where we took off our shoes before entering the hotel. Reception is on the second floor, and the interior was a mixed in style, I don’t know how to call it. It was dated and furnished with uncomfortable sofas and chairs. We and other guests were not allowed to checked in until 3 pm (regardless whether a room was available) so we could see several parties, some with small children hanging out on those sofas like at a train station. Not all of us can time our flight to arrive at the hotel at exactly 3 pm, so it was a tiresome wait during which we were provided with one cup of tea per person the whole time. After that long wait, the welcome ritual with snacks at the lounge on our floor became quite pointless. We already did not feel welcomed. Service at Hoshinoya Tokyo was also not great and definitely not 5 star. As a guest pointed out, it’s difficult to get to the entrance via taxi. The basement entrance was dark. Room cleaning was not reliable - we left the room for 3 hours in the morning, came back at 1 pm and the room was not cleaned. But if you stayed in (which well, what you are supposed to do at a ryokan), they wouldn’t go in to clean or even asked if you wanted the room to be cleaned. On such a day, I asked if I could get new towels when we left for dinner, the staff said yes, but nothing happened when we came back and no follow up call to let us know why. There’s no view from our room (executive room at the corner). The hotel is surrounded by other taller buildings. When we opened the window screen, we could see people from the other building office and they could see us. It’s all grayish.

Central Tokyo Tokyo|3.01km from city center
This was our second trip to Japan within the past 5 years. Previously, we stayed at a budget hotel which was cramped and small compared to American hotels. For this reason, we decided to splurge and I'm so glad we did. Splurge on the deluxe room if you value space and comfort. It not only made a huge difference, but it made our stay even better. The deluxe room comes with a walk- in closet, huge bathroom, and the room itself was big enough for a King bed and sitting area with a couch and chair. The staff provided excellent customer service at all times. The hotel is not that close to a train station so be wary of that, especially if you have heavy luggage. Also, this hotel is huge and navigating it takes time before you know where to go and how to get to the area's local restaurants and train stations. The hotel grounds have a beautiful Japanese garden with waterfall which rivals some parks. The only criticism I have about our stay is dining. As do all hotels, this one charges a huge price to dine on-site. You have access to local restaurants that are within walking distance for half the price. If you want to save money do a little research online and dine off-site. There are plenty of options around the area.

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi Tokyo|2.06km from city center
The location is good with lots of food places and convenience stores available near the hotel. Service attitude was alright but could be better for one of the duty manager. Typical Japanese business hotel - Room was small so if you’re bringing the large size luggage, do take note of it. Daily room clean up comes with fresh set of clothes (plus size may not be able to fit into the top) everyday so didn’t had to wear my own sleepwear and they will leave reminder on the door if you have not requested to change your bed linen for more than 2 days. The TV has limited English channels and not a smart tv so you can’t cast to screen and watch your show… but you get to see the status of washing machine if you’re thinking of doing laundry at any point in time of the trip. (¥500 for 120 min washing and drying of clothes (regular load), ¥400 for 80 min washing and drying of clothes (small load), ¥100 for 30 min of drying) Toilet seat was heated and comes with bidet so it’s good, especially in cold weather. Separate bathtub and shower area from the toilet and it comes with a little stool for you to sit when showering like true Japanese style. Check in and check out was smooth and efficient. You can store your luggages with them before check in and after check out if your flight is still a while away. There’s an area at L2 for refreshment and disposables like tea and coffee, toothbrush and toothpaste etc but no bottled water available in the room. Overall - will recommend

Ginza/Tsukiji Tokyo|0.48km from city center
- Location was convenient with lots of convenience marts, food / cafe places, Don Quijote and ~3-5 mins walk to nearest train station (Shimbashi). Shimbashi is also a really convenient station that consists of different metro lines and this makes it easy to get to other neighbourhoods/cities such as Shinjuku, Harajuku, Omote sando, etc... - Service was great. The staff were really friendly and have great awareness which made the check-in and check-out process prompt and swift. The hotel also provides daily room cleaning/make-up for customers and also various amenities/necessities. - In terms of facilities and room space, the hotel doesn't have much which is expected in most Tokyo area hotels so this doesn't affect my impression or expectation of the hotel's environment or service. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend for people looking to stay in this area.
