We got married at Crossbasket in 2021 having a small wedding. We had previously visited the castle (prior to booking our wedding) and the service is the best we have received in Scotland. From booking our venue to the morning after our wedding the staff at Crossbasket were fantastic and couldn't do enough. The manager Rob, met us to show us around the castle when it wasn't officially open, he took the time to answer any questions we had and was fantastic. Vicki the wedding coordinator accommodated all of our requests and every member of staff went above and beyond on the day. We handed in a small bag of items which my husband planned to set up on the day, when he arrived every detail had been done for him. This allowed for a stress free enjoyable morning. We were married in the main castle and had our reception in the Stewart room. This suited our needs and despite covid restrictions at the time our day felt perfectly 'normal' (in line with the restrictions allowed). Our guests stayed in a few rooms which are huge and so comfy. We stayed in the Macintosh room which was stunning. My husband and I are looking forward to returning and staying again. The food was excellent with lots of choice and flavour. The roux menu is some of the nicest food we have ever had. We have since visited two ICMI properties and have to say they really set the standard for service and food across Scotland. We most recently stayed at Cromlix which similarly to Crossbasket had food to die for and service above the standard. This is something we highly recommend and we look forward to trying out other ICMI properties. Thank you to all the staff, if you are looking for a wedding venue (whether it be for 5 to 200 people!) we highly recommend this venue. Also to comment all of our suppliers had lovely things to say about the venue. Our makeup artist said it is her favourite venue to work with as they are so accommodating!

We were greeted on arrival and escorted to a beautiful spacious room where we sat at a window table overlooking manicured gardens. Staff were friendly, courteous, helpful and beautifully and professionally attired. We were invited to choose a preferred type of tea from an extensive list. After a glass of delicious champagne we were presented with a three tiered tray of savoury bites, scones with cream and jam and delicious small cakes. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. I thoroughly recommend this elegant venue for a special celebration or treat.

We had our wedding at the Sherbrooke and what a day it was. From the preparations right up until the day the staff were absolutely amazing. William from the weddings team was an absolute God send. Kept everything running smoothly and was there to make sure the day was perfect. Can't thank him and the staff enough ❤️
It’s a tremendous hotel positioned on a hill top. The hotel is fantastic and particularly suitable for tourists to enjoy this nice looking castle hotel. The breakfast is great and this is the best hotel so far in this trip. Certainly, we will introduce to our friends and if we come again, this is our priority choice.

I purchase the accommodation via Trip.com. Trip.com did not use my email address or telephone number with my booking with the supplier. The access code to the front door of Destiny Scotland Apartments at Nelson Mandela Place is the last 4 numbers of the provided telephone number as a result my wife and I were locked out on a bitterly cold and wet Glasgow evening. After using the intercom, for assistance, the CSO refused to entry because my security details, email and telephone number, did not match. Luckily my friend was also staying at the same apartment and we used her access code to enter the lobby and get out of the freezing weather. The next morning, I rang Destiny Scotland Apartments to discuss last nights debacle, but Nima, the customer service manager was unsympathetic, dismissive, arrogant and rude. It was obvious by the conversation that this was not the first time that this had happened as she asked if I had used a third party travel agent and that I should have booked directly with them. I raised that, given the multiple incidences, that Destiny Scotland should email their resellers to confirm the correct procedures, Nima huffed back, that they have thousands of resellers and that it was my responsibility. I also mentioned that it was a multi storey building and that there were no lifts and that this should be mentioned in there listing as my friend is a 86 year old grandmother who had to unpack her overnight bag and carry the contents up in multiple smaller loads. Nima snapped back saying that is was an old building and lifts were not an expectation. This is 2023 and I have been to many old buildings with multiple lifts. The lack of empathy and wiliness to assist and blaming the customer is not on. While paying my way through university at a 5 star international hotel, my supervisor told me that the job description was in the name Hospitality and to be above all else HOSPITABLE. There are better options elsewhere.

As Central as it gets in Glasgow, but still quiet with good double glazing and windows that open fully! Easy access, all code-based. Apartment so well spec'd out, even the lighting was perfect. Super-comfortable bed, and kitchen area had everything - d/w, w/m and fridge. Could not fault this place, highly recommended. Great communication from their central office, who also made sure to warn of stairs, no lift. Just loved this place.

Parklands Hotel & Country Club is a hidden gem. From the moment we stepped into the hotel it was well decorated, given a wedding vibe to us. The wedding area for ceremonies and evening reception gaves you an insight of how the big day would work. It's very well structured and thought out so it flows well and no cross over with guests staying in the hotel. The surrounding area has loads of space for wedding photos/videos such as a close by woods, open grass area and the baloney at the top of the hotel for those stunning photo opportunities. Jennifer (events manager) is an unbelievable coordinator when it comes to weddings. We met up with her 3/4 times throughout the year to makes sure everything was on track and if anything needed done or changed. On the day she made my wife and I feel so relaxed, making sure we just enjoyed the day with friends and family. If there was any issues on the day I wasn't aware due to Jennifer dealing with everything. Staff all day couldn't do enough for us. They looked after all guests and if we needed anything extra they would make sure to get it. We even had a visit from the owner of Parklands which I found it very humbling and appreciated to take time out to see us. The food was delicious, not just on the day but we visited the restaurant a couple of times before the wedding. I'd recommend to go in for dinner to see how good the steak pie is. We visited wedding venues ranging from Greenock to East Kilbride and Parklands came on top. The value for money for a full wedding (90 people for us) is amazing. This is from them organising, planning, the look, great food, professional staff and a stressless experience for my wife and I. I'd recommend to go in for a look and chat, thats all it took for us to know it was the place for us. Thank you Parklands for making our wedding day so unforgettable. Mr & Mrs Grassie

Stayed on Sat 10th September and had the best day/night. This was our second visit to the hotel, and both times the room has been lovely and spotless, dinner and breakfast both amazing!! The cocktails in Michaels bar are a must try! The girl on reception was so friendly and chatty, I didn’t catch her name unfortunately, but she made us feel very welcome. To make this visit even more perfect, my partner and I got Engaged! We have said since our first visit that the Parklands would be our first choice Wedding venue, so I look forward to any wedding fairs/open days the hotel may be having. On behalf of my new fiancée and I, thank you again for a beautiful stay :)

Lift is horrible as you can not understand how it can be used. Why need to do so complicated things for people. Room was not very clean such a shame for such a quite big price for room. Pool area, we could not get there as normal people as lift was not working, they asked us to dress up and fo out to and reach another entrance, not comfortable at all as you do not want wear your jacket and all bring all your staff to the pool when you can just take a towel. Nice place. Very good staff however I do not recommend it for such a high price.

The parking lot is hard to find and requires a parking fee. Everything else is OK. The hotel chain service is normal. It is recommended. There is absolutely no problem if you don't drive. Driving is a bit frustrating.

I've stayed here a couple of times. On the edge of Glasgow centre but an easy 10 minute walk. Really nice touches of design in the communal areas and in the bedrooms. I got upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Breakfast was excellent as was dinner in the same restaurant. Only negative was that the dinner service was sometimes a little slow.

This was always my favourite hotel to stay in. Noticed over the last few times it’s slowly going down hill, the ambience has gone from it, this time we were giving a room that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. Bed was poorly made. Mould around shower screen. Badly cleaned coffee mugs. We were then moved to slightly better room. Broken shelve on bedside table. Every time we have checked in the restaurant has been closed.( must be a weekend thing) or maybe not enough bookings? although we always go else where. Would be nice to have that option. Breakfast is poor. But staff attentive. I’ve never really understood the help your self breakfast. It’s like a staff canteen. Cooked breakfast was cold. This is not a complaint. Just feedback. Why change what was good before. Breakfast was cooked to order. Pots of tea and coffee brought to you.

We had the most amazing wedding day at this wonderful venue. All staff were a pleasure to speak to and nothing was too much trouble. The day ran so perfectly and our guests commented on what a wonderful day they all had. The food was amazing, rooms were clean and the honeymoon suite was beautiful! Have to give a massive shout out to our master of ceremonies Dominic. He honestly made sure everything ran smoothly and kept us right through the day. Such a lovely gentleman and he couldn't have done more for us. We only gave ourselves 6 months to plan our day and without the help and support from the lovely team this wouldnt have been possible. From answering my questions to phoning me back after panic calling at 10pm they gave me so much advice and reassurance. We are now looking forward to coming back to celebrate in the new year!
We had our wedding at the torrance hotel in November and we couldn't recommend the venue enough! All the staff went above and beyond for us! They were so helpful throughout the planning and the day! We had the most amazing day and night! We had our guest meet us in the restaurant the next morning for breakfast and this was great too! Everyone at the hotel is so helpful! From booking the wedding to the cleaners the morning of the wedding everyone was so friendly and supportive! Our day went so smoothly thanks to the organised and super helpful staff!

Bedroom spacious, but thereafter not good. King-size mattress on a double bed base meaning it was easy to roll out of bed if you ended up on the unsupported edge The duvet was sticking well out of the cover, and it was filthy and worn, disgusting. Bathroom had peeling paint, and no shaving mirror. Shower worked well, but surrounds and seals pretty mouldy. Bedside lights could only be switched on / off from one side, inconvenient The TV remote control was disgusting, filthy and worn out with no numbers visible. Absolutely thick with dust and worse. Bathroom basin not cleaned (2 night stay). Tea tray left dirty and not even wiped after first night, although was replenished. Food -greatly overpriced for below average mass produced basic food. Serving staff were reasonable first night, rubbish 2nd night. Some food cold by the time it was served. Breakfast, poorly laid out. Scoops impossible to use in the curved cereal serving bowls, picking up about 3 cornflakes at a time. Eggs tough as boots. Cracked / chipped glasses and mugs being put out for use. Hope never to return. Could be really nice with some investment, but currently the worst IHG hotel I have stayed in anywhere.

Hotel was ok receptionist seemed a bit flustered when we arrived. It does say check in at 3 but we wanted to enjoy the day out in East Kilbride so arrived at 12 . She did comment to another member of staff about us and another couple arriving early. We didn’t have to go to room just wanted to get out and about without luggage. She then said she could charge us a fee for early check in but said she would let us off this time. If she had charged me I would have said stick it. Reception is floor 12 . We were on floor 8 . Couldn’t get heating to work in room and the wind was whistling through the windows and were really noisy couldn’t do anything about the windows. All in all it was fair
