Not my first time in a doubletree Hilton but this one was rather disappointing.
We arrived at the hotel at around 7pm, check in was a breeze, except that there is no porter to assist. We have many pieces of luggage but thankfully the receptionist. Jessica, helped us with the luggage before my husband was back from parking. Parking is a slight walk away and it is not very convenient.
Please give the breakfast a miss. Our room came with breakfast but the breakfast was so bad! Everything was hard and cold, there wasn’t even coffee like cap or flat white available. When we asked the waiter for it, we were not informed, but the coffee charges were billed to our room charge.

Frankly, I like the room layout but the housekeeping has some room of improvement to go. Though we turned on the ‘please clean the room’ button before leaving for the day, the room wasn’t cleaned until we called when we were back. We were told that room is only cleaned upon request! (But we did request for the whole day). The receptionist who answered the call offered to change the towel only but I insisted my room to be cleaned. When the housekeeping team arrived, he only changed the towel (and forgot the main bath towel) and no vacuuming was done at all. Conditioner was off as someone may have added water to the bottle but the housekeeping team did not check and refill properly too. (307)
Location is convenient, near to many nice eateries but right opposite some adult shop.

Perfect location! About 3-5 mins walk to Perth station, also have free BLUE CAT (central area transit) BUS stop nearby. Hotel room is nice, clean and comfortable. Staffs are very friendly.

Not my first time in a doubletree Hilton but this one was rather disappointing.

From making the reservation it all seems great, until you check in. The front door is piled with leaves, great welcome. I thought the place was closed down. On entry into room, lights were off so no welcome experience when arriving on night fall. Found the light switch, be that it was cracked and took some effort to switch on. Toilet seat was broken, after 4 nights stay and being reported, still not fixed. Bathroom sink spout was loose and dangling in basin. My hubby simply reached under sink and tightened with his own hands and fixed. Shower recess does not have a soap dish or anything to put your showering products on, the floor it was. Walks marked, chipped and in need of minor repairs. Kitchen is quaint. Microwave has remains of a prior guests food within it. Every plate, bowl and coffee cup was soiled with food remains. No COVID clean at all. The trash bin is 2.1lts in size. So don’t think about putting trash in it. A golden circle juice bottle is bigger. Dining chairs are well used and not vacuumed or cleaned. Otherwise housekeepers would of found the $50 note in one of the chairs and the opened condom wrapper in the other chair. One chair has springs popped out on bottom and nearly touching the carpet. Oh the carpet, yes nice dark colour, put a real vacuum cleaner has touched it properly in a while. Moved the lounge chair and found an Easter egg. Not sure if it was cavity range from 2018 or 2021? Bedside lights gloves were both blown. Reported but nothing happened nor was rectified during our stay. Nice touch with complimentary water in fridge. But tacky that water says Officeworks brand on it though. The mattress is described as a Queen bed, well it is two small singles pushed together and just horrendous to sleep on. With some love and attention this could be a great Apartment Hotel, but gather manager doesn’t have control as the service and cleanliness is letting this property down. Will we be back, probably not. Will the manger care about our review, probably not. Will the housekeepers have cleaned our room correctly after we had left, probably not. Will others wish to stay after reading our review, no idea. We suggest the manager stays in every room overnight and experience what we paying guests have to endure.FromTHB 4,427

In March 2012, I booked a single room for 3 nights through the ”Hotel World” website. I found this hotel without any effort, the check-in was super fast, the staff was very friendly (at least in March 2012). My room was large, with comfortable beds and windows facing the main street. Every time I go out and close the door, the door will make a sound with the ground. It feels very interesting and not annoying. Although the front desk can buy wireless network, I still use free wireless, which is provided by the Perth government. The bathroom is very clean. I liked the location of this hotel, close to many restaurants, there are bars nearby, places to skip disco. Because my return flight back to Singapore was very early, I had to use Perth Airport shuttle. Service was reliable and priced (convenient booking). I recommend Britannia and Perth Airport shuttle.FromTHB 789
