Tasteful, charming, and a nice break from the soulless corporate chain hotels. Beautiful old windows and cozy nooks. My room was huge and featured a working gas fireplace. Plus amenities like a 24-hour pool and free valet parking. For me, this place is the perfect cross between a B&B and a large hotel.

Breakfast is very good, but it is not included in the room rate, but paid separately in the restaurant. The location of the hotel is within the Uva campus. Parking is very convenient. Park your car at the front desk of the hotel and the staff will help you park. American country style hotel, recommended!

Beautiful hotel! Front desk very friendly,especially Latasha! My request for a quiet room was granted. The 6th floor in low numbers is good. I stayed 3 nights for work and my room was SPOTLESS! The mattress was firm, my pillows fluffy. I especially loved the slippers because I forgot mine. Upon arrival Franklin helped me with my luggage and on a rainy day my umbrella was in my car. He kindly gave me one. The only drawback was the Valet parking. They're very good at what they do but I wish there was maybe off-site parking. $18 is a bit steep, I walked to work so I paid for my car to be parked. The morning coffee in the lobby was very good. I didn't get a chance to eat at restaurant Ridley but the aroma sure smelled good. I would definitely stay here again. The lobby's decor and seating was very comfortable.

A terrific experience on graduation from check in to check out over four nights. The convenience of the Ridley was great and food, drink and service was excellent, especially Sarah at the bar. Housekeeping was top notch. Valet was always there for us when we needed our car on a busy graduation weekend. Saunders and his crew did a great job in valet. Super efficient! We so appreciated the generous bottles of water available to keep us hydrated on a weekend of beg celebration. Thank you Draftsman Hotel! We will miss our regular visits now with no student at UVA. Wah-hoo-wah!

The hotel is a little far from the school, there is bus, breakfast is normal, there is free parking, new hotel, very clean, 35 squares, three people live well, bigger and better, can cook, the total rest is more satisfactory.

The hotel is great, the service is good, very warm. The room facilities are good, the surroundings are lively, but the room is very quiet. At The corner, it’s a lively place for college weekend gatherings. It should be the nearest hotel to the University of Virginia. Walk to the train station for about 10 minutes. Recommended

Take the children to visit the school for two nights. The hotel is very close to the UVA campus and can be reached on foot. It is also very convenient to eat around, and there is valet parking service. Worth staying.

A typical American breakfast, suitable for a family, the location of the hotel is very convenient for shopping and dining, free parking, close to the University of Virginia, beautiful and clean environment

Here due to early morning medical tests. Very clean. Felt safe. Woman at check in was friendly and efficient. Perfect location for medical center. Room was impossibly dark. Bedside lights did not work. No overhead light. Could not see to read or work. When we tried to call front desk the line was busy. Half window with view of parking garage.

The room is super spacious, with two 1.5 meters beds, a double sofa next to it, and a refrigerator is also large. All aspects are very good, comfortable and clean, the only drawback is that the breakfast ends too early at 9 o'clock and can't catch up with breakfast.

Comfortable bed. Room was clean and no issues with a/c. Shower had hot water and was clean. Didn’t try the breakfast but others from our group said it was ok. Lots of places to eat in the vicinity. DB Brewery across the street. We had a nice stay and would return.

Can't beat the location--across from Starbucks, ample self-parking and you can walk to UVa hospital or UVa Grounds super easy! Nearby restaurants, Amtrak over the hill---great area. Thanks again-we'll be back!

We stayed in a ”king suite.” The room was recently renovated and very pleasant. There's a separate area with a couch and pull out desk. I'd be comfortable staying there to work for the week. I was there with family and the overall facility was extremely nice, with a better than expected breakfast and eating room. The staff was very nice and welcoming. It took about 15-20 minutes to walk to UVA and the downtown historic area.

This place hasn't aged well over the past, short few years it's been opened. I was the first to review it on Yelp and at that time felt like it derserved 4 stars. I've since been back a few more times for work and have noticed the decline of poor maintenance. The bed I got in my room was tooo soft that I sank in about 8” when sitting/laying in it. The shower had black mold all around the caulked areas in the corners and toilet paper holders didn't allow the TP to roll efficiently. The pool area had nasty dirt and hair clumped up on the pool deck. The carpets in the halls badly needed to be vacuumed. One last thing, these silly hotels no longer automatically refresh rooms daily without the guest requesting it... That's not how it should be. So many issues which shows a complete lack of proper management and maintenance. Hopefully they resolve there soon!
