Quite a good hotel, conveniently located near the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. The rooms are warm in winter. Everything you need is available in the rooms. The check-in and check-out procedure is extremely fast and simple. Nearby there is a good Vons supermarket and an excellent Turkish cafe Yucca Kabob. Among the shortcomings: a very strange system for turning on the shower. You'll never guess it yourself. And explanations are only available at the administration desk. Therefore, at first you suffer for a long time in your room, decide that everything is broken, you come angry to the administrator, and he pokes you at a sign with explanations. Very comfortably. Also, the breakfast is poor. In my ranking of the worst breakfasts, this hotel is one of the first places. Edibles: muffins, omelettes and bread.

The hotel is nicely located 10 minutes drive away from the western entrance to Joshua Tree NP. The service is good and prompt but the hotel seems to be a scaled down version of its former self. There are fewer towels in the bayhroom, fewer utensils in the kitchenette, lighter blanket in the bed etc. Overall the place is still comfortable but stays away from luxury.
