In general, everything is correct. Huge room and extremely comfortable beds. However, we stayed in a Callaghan's Superior room, but without the details like the Colorado Creek Superior rooms (no bottled water, for example). It is noticeable that the quality of the hotel's food at dinner and breakfast has dropped a lot compared to other times we have stayed at the Gold River.

I have been several times. The good thing is that park tickets are included. You also enter the park next to Uncharted and avoid the line for this new attraction

Everything was perfect, the stay, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, lots of variety and very good. It is the second time we come and we will repeat in the future.

The location is very convenient, parking is also very convenient, the facilities are relatively old, the staff are quite polite, it is a good deal to stay in the hotel and get two days of tickets, suitable for families

Very nice hotel and fantastic buffet breakfast. The only downside is that we were two couples in different rooms and one had a single large bed and the other two beds together. Very good location to spend two days in the park. Very kind employees.
- RoPiAm
The hotel is very good but we had some problems upon arrival. They put us in a room with a lot of noise from outside, and when we changed we had to wait 2+ hours. In the end, everything was fine except that. The hotel pool amazing!

Reviews From Real Travelers
Having seen this hotel whilst walking past on a previous holiday and reading the glowing reviews, we booked a 10 night stay at Olympus Palace and overall we had a great time. There are some huge pros, and unfortunately some cons to this hotel (as there is normally with any) and I'll try to list them all here. The Pros: Cleanliness: The hotel is IMMACULATE. I don't think I saw a speck of dust or dirt throughout my entire stay, they even mop the outside walkway every morning! Rooms are refreshed daily with clean bedding, fresh towels, bin emptied, floor mopped etc, and they do a fab job with this. Entertainment: There is a massive programme of various entertainment with something for everyone. Staff: All of the staff are so polite, friendly and welcoming. Check-in was a breeze, and they even let us have breakfast early on our check-out day as our coach was picking us up at 8am. They were also very helpful with arranging taxis and I'm certain that if we had needed anything else, they'd have been more than happy to help. Location: The location is AMAZING. Right on a main ***** of bars, restaurants and shops. Small supermarket opposite the hotel entrance and walk an extra 20 seconds for the larger MichaelAngelo supermarket which has everything. If you have kids, there's a mini fun park with games and rides open every evening right opposite the hotel and a large arcade next door. In-hotel Bars: The rooftop bar is gorgeous and amazing to sit at day or night. There's also a downstairs bar with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff again, wonderful at both. In-Room TV: TV with plenty of international channels. HUGE TIP: If you come across a film or TV show that you know is originally in English, use the little speech bubble button on the remote and select Original Language and you'll get it in English - would be great to have known this at the start of our hol as it was rainy for a few days. The Cons (some are of course subjective) Noise (not an issue for us, but might be for you): If you prefer a quiet hotel, you will need to book a pool view room. Our room overlooked the main street which was no issue for us as we like the buzz (and people watching) but it is very loud with the hubbub of hundreds of people, repetitive noises from the arcade, the pub quiz/bingo across the road and the mini park until well after midnight. Food: We found the food to be lacklustre. This is of course subjective and there were some great options from time to time. Most nights it was mainly seafood dishes, some meat in a light sauce and some kind of out-there dishes like pigs feet. However, the cooked-to-order bit always has something tasty on like steak, tiger prawns, grilled chicken thighs etc. It should be noted that like most half/full board places, drinks aren't included with lunch or dinner. At breakfast, however, there is free fruit juice, water and champagne. Unfortunately on my last day, I was served half raw sausages. Thankfully they were very cle
We stayed as a couple for a week starting September 2024. On the face of it it looks like a nice hotel ideally situated in the middle of things. We had a level 2 street veiw room which was opposite the little arcade. It had various machines but one paticularly right at the front a little ducky grap type machine. The noise of it went morning noon and night along with this other air hockey game. Between quack quacks and clunk clang ping ping it would of drove you nuts. We actually didn't realise it would be like that until we were fully unpacked and settled in so to speak. And we weren't prepared to ask for room change and have to do the whole pack unpacking again. We weren't in the room all the time so mostly it wasn't a huge type issue. But I'm sure you catch what I mean.... The room itself wasn't that big. It might have felt bigger if it weren't for a large bed then another single one beside it too. The reason for that I will never know as there were only 2 of us in the room. It wasn't the cleanest either marks all over the walls and in general grubby and drab. A few features to liven it up maybe??? Some pictures or wall art wouldn't go a miss. The balcony door outside at the bottom was all grubby and ingrained with dirt. I didn't say anything to reception or maids as I thought to myself I will leave it just to see if it gets cleaned. ( it didnt) so nearly all week it still wasn't cleaned. So I took a wipe to it and with a little elbow grease was able to kinda shift it. Now if I was able to do that. How come a maid hadn't done it 🤔 The food. What do I say about it?? I know you are in Spain and expecting a mixture of multi national clients too. But it was more catered for the Spanish and Mediterranean diet. The food was poorly labelled if labelled at all. Some stuff u except to be hot was cold and vice versa. And on that note who eats mash potatoes for breakfast. They on one occasion had what was described as an English sausage for breakfast. But in no way shape or form was it an English sausage.. it looked like something you'd get in a butchers then you'd have to go home and cook it There was scrambled eggs set out. But really weren't that pleasant. And if you wanted a fried egg you'd have to que up for one and wete cooked on demand. Why not just have some sitting out ready to take?? I've been to many hotels and this has to be the worst yet food wise. The roof top pool. Why aren't none paying guest able to come up and avail of the loungers ane deck chairs ahead of paying guests that are staying and paying for the privilege of the roof top facilities. And you can't take drinks snacks etc upto the pool top area. Yes I get the whole health and safety aspect of things glass/etc. But then serve things in papers or plastic cups maybe?? The whole idea is to try and sit and relax by the pool and sip away at your drink. Reception upon checking out. Poor customer service. I handed the room cards back to him

Reviews From Real Travelers
We were a bit aprehensive about holidaying here after reading all the mixed reviews. It was a last minute deal at this 3* Hotel. It's 20 minutes from the airport and that was on a coach transfer. The welcome from the Reception Staff was very warm and efficient. The lifts were both working whilst we were there but they were both a bit slow in arriving. We were only on the 3rd floor so we did walk up and down most days. The room had 2 double beds and was very clean. The room was cleaned everyday and we were given fresh towels. The meals were of a good standard and there was always a large variety to choose from. We did hear people complain about the food, but really couldn't understand why as we never found anything wrong. At breakfast the chef was on hand to make omlettes and cook fresh eggs. There were cereals, fruit juice, full cooked breakfast, cheeses, meats, breads, croissants etc. At lunchtime they would cook burgers, steak or sausage and of an evening they would cook steak and chicken. There was always a pasta dish, chips, salad, fresh cooked baguettes and a selection of cooked meats. (See photos) The pool was absolutely freezing but perhaps that was just due to it being October. The entertainment staff were coming to the end of their season but still did a great job. Simon was really friendly and took time out during the day to sit and chat with people. The Jet 2 Rep Phillip was brilliant and very knowledgeable on the area. He gave us plenty of tips even though we didn't book any trips with him. The bar staff were brilliant. Juan was so friendly and went out of his way to help people who wanted to improve their Spanish. He made such an effort with his Fancy Dress costumes all week as they were celebrating Halloween. If you like wine the ones they serve are of a good quality . The rooftop bar was closed due to it being so.late in the eason, but both the jacuzzis were on and the sunbeds, chairs and tables were out for use. The views from the rooftop terrace are beautiful. The terrace itself looked like it had recently been updated . I liked the fact that the pool area didn't open until 10am as that stopped people putting towels on the sunbeds then going out for the day. There were plenty of sunbeds out and several more stacked at the side if needed. We never struggled to get a sunbed in the sun. The temperatures were up to 27° some days and that was mid October. There are a couple of beaches within walking distance and the main town is a 10 minute walk which you can do along the shore line walkway. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would describe the hotel as being top end of its 3 stars.

Just back from a lovely visit to Salou. 5 friends all ladies. These apartments were fantastic, clean, spacious rooms, 2 bathrooms, washing machine, dish washer, spacious balcony. Couldn't have asked for more. However weather improved in the past few days and we went to the pool. The pool and the pool area badly needs upgrading. The pool was freezing, it's possibly warm in high season? Overall due to the proximity to the beach, bars and restaurants and the fabulous apartments I would highly recommend a visit.

Went for a short break. Hotel is amazing and clean. Exactly as described. Located a little back from the main area about a 10 min walk from main beach area. Reception staff helpful and restaurant staff attentive. ROOM - modern second floor pool view. Large shower, double and single bed. Fridge big enough for a few drinks and sandwich bits. Nespresso machine and kettle. Safe is free to use. We paid for a pool view room but we ended up with a tree in front of us so a little cheeky charging for a view that was not really there. Be careful with rooms above the bar as I can imagine they are noisy when entertainment is on. BAR- nightly entertainment is a bit Butlins but fine. Drinks reasonable. POOL - a number of them. Main one had plenty of loungers and a good mix of shade and sun. Far too many children though spoilt it. There are other pools that could be made for children only. RESTAURANT - The quality of the breakfast and dinner was amazing. Pancakes and omelettes cooked in front of you. Fruit, pastries, salad and full English with brown sauce. Dinner had so much choice and so fresh with meat cooked in front of you. It was busy and no surprise why. Dinner at €18 which was great value. My advice is book a pool view but ask for a main pool view and book half board at least. The food in Salou town is awful. 90% of restaurants have the same menu and look to be owned by the same company. Not really any independent Spanish restaurants to be found. Snack food and a fry up can be found in town but I would eat at the hotel for breakfast and dinner (tea if you’re from Yorkshire).
This was one of the best hotel we have stayed in the location is just right the rooms was modern very spacious and comfortable. The staff are excellent nothing is to much trouble. Where do I start with the food well we was blown away by the selection and quality of the food there really is something for everyone and it’s different every day. We stayed half board and normally struggle with the evening menus and have to eat out but not here at this hotel from roasts to stirfry even sushi you won’t go hungry.

Reviews From Real Travelers
We stayed as a young couple here for 4 nights and honestly we cannot fault this hotel in any way! Our flight was delayed so we didn’t arrive until early hours in the morning, and we were both exhausted and just wanted our bed 😂 the gentleman on the desk who checked us in made us feel so at ease and got us checked in nice and quickly, gave us all the info we needed, and wished us a good nights sleep 😂 The room was brilliant, always nice and clean, and the housekeeping staff were second to none, always so friendly and did an amazing job cleaning our room every day! The balcony was nice and spacious, even though we didn’t have a pool view that didn’t bother us at all, it was still nice to have a big balcony to sit on in the evenings and relax 😁 The food was amazing especially for all inclusive, you always find it to be the same stuff, but we found the food really tasty and always had loads of options on offer. We never found booking a table for food a problem, we could book it all on our first day for our whole stay, and could easily change it if need be, and you don’t need to book on for midday lunch meal so that was nice too! The AI drinks were brilliant, right by the pool and the staff were lovely as well, never had to wait long for a drink, and if for whatever reason they’d ran out of a certain drink, they’d offer nice alternatives to what you wanted! Thank you so much to all of the staff during our stay, sorry we couldn’t remember the names of anyone in particular, but they were all brilliant, made us feel welcomed, and were always on hand to help and inform us during our stay, we’ll definitely be looking at coming back in the near future! 😁☀️
After arriving early we knew our rooms wouldn’t be ready and we didn’t have a problem with that . However, we didn’t expect to be charged 5 euros per case to have them stored in automated lockers . Eventually we got our room at around 3pm, room 161 on the first floor, tucked away in a corner with a tiny balcony that we couldn’t use . If you’re offered this room , refuse it !! I only wish we had, but we tired from travelling and decided to put up with it. In the evening drinks we served in paper cups up to 8pm and then after the bar staff had no idea of what glasses to use , serving gin and tonic in Coca Cola tumblers. The first night the bar was covered in empty dirty glasses with no intention of any one clearing them . The lobby bar had no ambience and wasn’t welcoming, too brightly lit .The food in the restaurant was good and we enjoyed our meals , but there was no waiter service and we had to queue up for drinks. The snack bar in the daytime had long queues and wait times . The rooftop terrace was a bonus and a perfect place to relax, but apparently we were not allowed to wear our sunglasses in the hot tub. Also the rooftop bar wasn’t part of the all inclusive drinks, and it was ok to go down 6 floors to get drinks from the snack bar and take them back up . Definitely not 4* , only 3* at best

We booked 4 nights her with a view to visiting the Portaventura theme park. When booked it said parking was available but could not be booked in advance There are roadworks outside the hotel so access is poor and it is all 1 way streets. We eventuality got there and parked in the very right underground parking (13 spaces). Went to reception and was told you have to pre book parking so we had to move as it was booked up. We had to park in a pay and display about 1/2 a mile away which you could only pay for 24 hours at a time 6 euros. So had to keep going back every morning. Walking up the corridor it did not feel like a 4 star hotel. A few chunks missing in the walls that had just been painted over. The lift if it had more that 2 adults and 2 kids in would say overweight and wouldn't move. The room itself was nice and clean and air conditioned. The first morning we had breakfast in the hotel for 11 euros each. It was OK but then found a number of places locally that offered a lot better breakfast for less cost. (8 Euros for full English breakfast). The staff at the hotel were very friendly. The hotel site says it has a safe in the room, which it does. I could not get it to work so asked reception. They advised it is 4 euros per night to use the safe. It is the cost time I have stayed in a 4 star hotel that charged you to use the safe in the room. They said it is because it is provided by an outside company. Overall the hotel is nice and looking at some of the others in the area it is probably one of the better ones. I would not say it is 4 star, more a 3 star or 3 and a half star. We are currently in valencia in another 4 star and that is a totally different level to this. Review of that to follow.

Fantastic!! First impressions clean ,tidy entrance.friendly staff on reception and in the shop. Room very clean and cool, balcony nice with 2 chairs and a table.but the view overlooked the street with local shops etc, bathrooms great, ( except a tiny bit of mould by the shower- which could easily be cleaned). Lovely white towels, some toiletries.cleaners were great came in daily if needed. Breakfast was typical cooked breakfast. My son only had toast. But he really fussy. I loved the croissants and fresh fruit, fresh melon. Coffee was amazing. 3 mint walk to the beach. 2 jacuzzi’s, 1 a bit colder than the other, but still warm. These are cleaned and emptied daily at 9ish! It’s not busy, which is a bonus but it’s a shame as the hotel is fantastic. Only negative is you have to pay for use of fridge and I would love to have English to channels or even Netflix to make it a bit better- especially if you have kids. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you to everyone.

My husband and I had a week away from Barcelona staying at this adults only hotel. The reception staff were all friendly but especially Bea who was extremely helpful with things to go and see whilst we were here as the weather was not the best. Rooms were really nice, clean and tidy, with comfortable beds, but the pillows not so comfy. Could have done with a table on the balcony too. Breakfast was a good choice with the option to order freshly cooked too and the staff were friendly and kept the place ticking over nicely. The spa was a bit of a disappointment as it only has steam room and sauna and a jacuzzi for 8 people, so we only used once and the games room was not available durin the week due to conference. Fortunately we had our own cards and dominoes. Overall a good visit to Salou, where we visited Cambrils, Tarragona, Reus and Sama Park out of tourist season. I am sure it would be buzzing come Easter onwards. Thanks to the Magnolia Team for the great overall service.

Brilliant hotel. The place was spotless and the staff were friendly. Despite some reviews saying it was not suitable for children, we felt that it was during our experience. The hotel provided a baby bath & cot no issues. There is also a baby room for microwaving and warming bottles. There’s a little kids section which our little boy loved and he had the opportunity to socialise with other babies. He also enjoyed the play area outside. My mother-in-law requested a kettle for her room, which was promptly provided with no issues. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The bar by the pool served lovely drinks and snacks. Cleaning staff were attentive and the rooms were left tidy whenever cleaned. The rooms were generous in size. The hotel is in a great location and we struggled to find any fault during our stay. We utilised the spa one day due to bad weather and both my mother-in-law and I were happy with our massage and facial. We would return again and recommend to others! Thank you.

A pleasant, fresh, clean hotel, staff responsive, less than 10 minutes walk to the sea, is located in a quiet, quiet place, noise under the windows is not heard, while to all entertainment facilities 10 - 15 minutes walk. Breakfasts are very delicious, take not regret! In our room there was no refrigerator, dishes, utug is issued on bail, safe for an additional fee.

Booked through TUI ,fair price for half board, arrived around 10am due to early flight, taxi was €32 .lady on reception said room was ready , paid €18 tourist tax for 1 week 2 adults, free safe and excellent WIFI .ROOM ON 5th floor overlooking pool was spacious and spotless clean .Room serviced daily to high standard. Bar area and staff excellent attentive service. The hotel was extremely busy , breakfast delicious, omelettes cooked to order ,plenty of fruit and pastries,Evening meal chaotic some evenings, had to wait for table several evenings, Food for us was a bit hit and miss ,with so many people eating at the same time some food items needed replenishing so couldn’t always get a full meal without waiting for fresh items to be brought out .Unfortunately a high percentage of the staff in the restaurant weren’t able to cope with the pressure of so many people, rushed , impatient, and a little abrupt, even the manager on the desk had no time to be polite when entering and paying on exit for drinks always pre occupied with talking to other members of staff or asking young lady guests their names ! .a simple good evening or thank you would have made it pleasant. The evening the cockroach was running in the restaurant doorway the desk manager waving his arms around called a staff member to kill it and dispose of it .On entering we said good evening and on exit we said thank you but no response.Little polite gestures would improve such a great hotel in a fabulous location.on checking out the reception manager didn’t even say hope you’ve had a good stay or was everything ok or hope to see you again,on asking him about a taxi he took room cards off me and waved his arm saying wait outside .would we return, ? Yes for the hotel location and quality of room etc but maybe on a bed and breakfast basis only .
