At long last, we have stayed here for my birthday celebration with my family. From check in, the front desk staff asked us to wait until 2pm since they said that’s the standard time. We waited downstairs because there are no seats at the lobby. Nobody approached us at 2pm so i reminded them that we are waiting. I noticed that front staff people were lack of training. They don’t smile that much and not welcoming. Elevator platform at the 4th floor is not even so a lot of guests got stumbled and its dangerous because there are no warning sign. Our room is great. Cozy, clean and spacious. The veranda is boring. No tables and chairs and towel rack for wet clothes. What i like most is the bathroom! Very spacious and neat as well. I love the jacuzzi that can fit up to two people. The only problem is the bathroom door. Its very old and need to be updated. You can peak from the outside so there’s no privacy for people using the toilet. Room amenities has coffemaker, and safebox. Television channels are a little bit blurry. When I requested for a pitcher of water, i have to follow up for 4 times. Swimming pool is huge and nice. The slide for kids is not slippery so its a waste of time using that. I love the sand and the pool which you can feel like youre in a beach. The problem that time was they have an event so there were no beachbeds set up that time and there’s no staff assisting guests who’s gonna swim. I have to look for people to ask for a towel. The buffet breakfast has a lot of choices. We enjoyed the food especially the kids. The view of the yachts are instagrammable. What I noticed from the first time i set my foot on the resort are the staffs. They should be train how to properly do their job. Some they do but mostly not. For a room that is so expensive, the expectation is very high and i never meet those expectation. The place is very promising but the downside is the service.

The Clipper Race crew, support staff and maintenance team, that’s 200 plus people were held in quarantine within the marina. The hotel staff, Barry the marina manager and his team did everything they could to support our unexpected stay. I cannot fault their care and kindness. Thank you all for looking after us. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all again in January 2021.

A funtastic location and very luxurious place at reasonable price. Located on beach inside Subic Bay Freeport. Has swimming pool. A sailing and boating connection. Really friendly people and staff. Close to live music venues. Close by is Network, a business with many water activities. Short distance to an ocean adventure park, tiger safari park or zoo like park. A few good malls a short walk. Many restaurants close walk. Texas Joe. My favorite.

Pros Clean Buffet breakfast is good Attentive staff at reception/lobby Good customer service Live music every night Free snack at 4pm Close to restaurants and shops accessibility good housekeeping Cons We picked the oceanview room and the room is dated and needs renovation. Over priced. Needs to have more power outlets. Needs to have more hanging areas for robes and towels inside the bathroom. They charge us for cappucino during breakfast. Other hotels weve been to offer this for free with the breakfast and those hotels are much cheaper in comparison to Lighthouse. Staff in the restaurants needs to be retrained. Overall the hotel is pricey!

Rooms It is quite spacious, clean, and there was no foul smell. Kudos to Housekeeping staffs. Thank you for accomodating all our requests. Keep it up! I like the ambiance, swimming pool temperature, and how I wish there is bar/resto staff available to take orders at the beach. Front office The area desk should be bigger and more staff to accomodate faster check in and out. FO Staffs should be more approachable and have pleasing smiles. Restaurant **More food selections and availability (since the area is far from the city) ** Waiting time is longer as expected for ordering in room services and dine in. Example: (1 to 2 hours waiting time) Nevertheless, they apologized and compensate us. (thanks to the F&B supervisor for manning up & taking actions) ** Food cost is quite expensive yet the taste, presentation and service was not good but can be improve as well. Some of the staffs are friendly, approachable and helpful. We hope, when we come back there will be improvements especially at the restaurant/bar. We will definetely come back because of the rooms, cleanliness, beach view and swimming pool.

Very comfortable location, very private space, relatively large room, bed and sofa are very comfortable. The waiters are all very enthusiastic, and the most attentive employees are probably the two young men from the restaurant in the outer area! There are also many shortcomings, the bathroom supplies are too old and are in a broken state; the TV is too small and the space is too different from the original room, and the waiter is difficult to find. What frightened me the most was John, the service staff at the front desk. Seeing the different attitudes towards each other and being particularly difficult with Chinese passports, this caused me to bury my head in the dark about this store!

Once again without fail, MANGROVE impressed with their levels of service & quality of the establishment, staff , food & drinks. To date after traveling 15 years to the Philippines the Long Island Iced Tea is unbeatable. The restaurant staff seemed to remember my preferences at all times. At times the resort was packed but the staff managed a very large party very well. Lea at reception never fails to impress with her memory and she is always good at handling special request. A request for me to supply my own seafoods for the chef to cook was handled well & cooked as requested . check-in & check-out was seamless.

Our stay at Mangrove Resort in Baloy Beach was a complete letdown, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. First off, their website is a total rip-off. It says that kids above 7 years old are charged as adults, but they still insisted on charging for our 1-year-old and 5-year-old kids at check-in. It's a total scam, and I felt like I'd been taken for a ride. The staff at Mangrove Resort are useless, to put it mildly. When I asked to speak with the manager, the receptionist was no help at all and wouldn't even listen to my complaints. It's like they don't give a crap about their guests and just want to take your money and run. To top it all off, when I asked for a refund for the room I'd already paid for, they refused to give me my money back and made me upgrade instead. The upgraded room wasn't even worth it - there were light bulbs that didn't work, and the cable TV was messed up. Overall, my experience at Mangrove Resort was a total bust. Between their shady website, their useless staff, and their subpar accommodations, there's really no reason to stay here. Don't waste your money - go somewhere else!

In principle the 4**** is too much, realistically 2.5* is appropriate. Check in went smoothly, the room was clean, large and practical. Unfortunately, the room pictured online was the suite, hence the disappointment about the lack of a sea view. In addition, there is no breakfast directly in the hotel, this information is also withheld online, you are referred to 2 neighboring restaurants that ONLY offer local, mostly lukewarm to cold, breakfast. If you use the local buffet instead of the selection, this also costs extra 😡 The hotel is busy and very noisy, with parties at the pool or in the rooms lasting well into the early hours of the morning. There was no evidence of management intervention. For guests like us who want to relax, this hotel is unsuitable with the constant nightly celebrations of short-term vacationers or conference participants, especially since the first guests leave for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and you are then involuntarily woken up again. I would have imagined the 7-day stay differently. Repetition factor is very low or not at all😰

Overall, its a good stay. Loving the good ambiance, friendly staff and nice location. One thing I think they improve is that the hygiene kit. Why it is on a per call basis wherein it should be included once you’ve stayed there. Just my thought…

We just completed our 8 nights stay at Chequers suites. The crew was accomodating and very approachable even having a lack of manpower. There was a typhoon during our stay and the staff served us professionally. However, the hotel owners should consider to establish additional manpower to accomodate each position required to uplift the standard of the hotel. Each crew presently working in the hotel are doing their absolute best to fill in those missing spots and maintain the standards of the hotel. Everything in chequers is close to excellent but they need to improve in few areas. See details below. Security: during our stay we did not see any security personnel posted atleast in the front door or roving around. They also have a basement parking which is great, but again no security posted in the area. Housekeeping and Reception Staff: manpower is a vital aspect of maintaining a good quality service of a service provider bussiness. Understandable that during our stay there is a typhoon, but having extra manpower to take care of the needs of the clients in the hotel is vital. Sea view balcony and entrance hallway: during the heavy rain and strong winds water was accumulated which created hazard to the occupants. Also, water entered the room from the strong wind and rain through the sliding door (easy fix) Other than that, the hotel is still new and still tons of room to grow to become one of the best hotel in Subic.

We stayed here (room 502) overnight for New Years Eve. I booked for 1 unit with 1 bedroom. They have big ref, kitchen with complete utensils and washing machine. The room also have spacious terrace/veranda and the price for 1 bedroom is so affordable. The food is also good we orderd bolognese and tapsilog. The room and bathroom is clean however the shower is not that strong. Also the location of the swimming pool is not good because its near the reception, entrance of the hotel and bar that everyone can watch or see you. . But over all Chequers is good for us and we will recommend it to our friends also.

CP is the first choice in Subic Bay! The room is clean and the CP value is high. It is worth recommending. The only drawback is that the location requires a car, but the cost is not high, so it is still worth a stay. I will come here often~

We stayed at Seagra for 2 nights recently. The hotel is a small boutique hotel tucked away in Freeport zone of Subic. Here are things that I liked and one's we didn't What we liked:- 1. The rooms, were decent sized clean and neatly prepared for the arrivals 2. The aminities inside the room are basic - Tea, coffee , shampoo conditioner etc 3. The Bar is decent , next to the pool What didn't work:- 1. The hotel is simply overprized for what it offers. As soon as you enter a letter from the hotel greets you telling you price list of everything - shampoo, conditioner, towel, bedsheets etc etc. 2. You got to pay for beer even if you purchased from outside and consume it within your room . There is corakage fee for consuming within the room ... how innovative . First time I have seen something like that. 3. Breakfast must be ordered 6pm previous day , incase you miss - Sorry buddy, go figure out what you need. 4. THis one is classic - Breakfast for 2 adults is free but Break fast for 2 kids (3 and 2 years old) was charged , it was unbelieveable. 5. There is no room service:) 6. There is nothing extra ordinary in the hotel that you would want to pay 7k / night. Sorry Segara .. you got to change your approach.

We enjoyed the place, though we did not used all the pool and slides. We spent more time on kiddie pool and wave pools.my 2 yr old son enjoyed it. It needs some repairs for safety, like the railing on one slide is alredy gone. Kiddie pool is right beside the rampage pool, not a good setup parent must watch their small kids closely make sure they dont cross. The beach is not suitable for swmming, there are some trashes, you wont notice it unless you swim, its best just for sports activities. As for the room, its good except for the plumbing which did not work on our last day and also the chairs are already defective, need replacement or repair. But we got the good view of the pool and the subic bay. The staff are friendly and always ready to assist.

I love this place and my kids are really enjoyed it! Overnight is not enough. We should have explore more and stayed 2-3days. -Place is great -Food is great -We have a fantastic room -The bar is great -Pool is great as if we have our own mini pool. -There is a wave pool and my kids love it. -There is also a playground with pool for the kids like they can slide, swing, more fun activity. -We enjoyed the beach as well, same as the inflatable, jetski, kayak, banana boat -There is an acoustic bar at night, fire dance, parang nasa Bora ka na.

I my family and I rented three rooms here in December 2022. Two rooms with a king size bed and one room with two queen size beds. All rooms had spectacular views from their private balconies. The Wi-Fi connection was not strong in one of our rooms but the staff promptly moved us into a new room. We especially enjoyed how the hotel offers massages in the room. The beach was rocky but the view was unbeatable. The breakfast in the morning was great and cost friendly and the dinner in the evening was even more cost friendly and so tasty. We can’t wait to return here during our next trip to Subic!

The pictures of their rooms are not the reality. Ask them to send updated room photos before booking. The room they put us in we refused to stay as it had moldy sealing, smelly cabinets, broken and smelly fridge, rusted and dusty fan, windowless room, and mosquitoes buzzing around. This is suppose to be their “deluxe” room. The front desk eventually agreed to put us in a different room which was an improvement. The staff unfortunately all seem rather depressed. No smiles, no welcoming greetings. The bar area at night is completely dead, no music, no atmosphere, and at 9pm everyone starts packing up, sweeping and cleaning which we took as a sign that we should leave.

The location of the hotel is very good, opposite the beach, the big logo of the landmark SUBIC BAY is diagonally opposite. The hotel’s air-conditioning is great, and the noise is not too loud. There are lawns and deck chairs in the Lang Yard. When the weather is good, you can lie down and sunbathe. The hotel has a bar. The breakfast at the hotel is simple but of high quality. It is a pity that there is no fruit supply.

I am currently staying at Palm Tree resort and will be departing tomorrow. I have been a guest here about 6/7 times since they opened and I have never failed to be impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the service and the food. I have also stayed at several other local hotels but always return to Palm Tree. The restaurant serves really good food and the Sunday traditional roast is first rate. The room I am in (203) has a comfortable king size bed, patio doors leading onto a patio that overlooks the small swimming and paddling pool below, and ice cold air con. Wi-Fi for the most part was good but occasionally was slow or would drop off. I did ask reception once if they could reboot their system, which they did and within about 5-minutes it was back on. The location is perfect, straight onto the beach at the rear and in the centre of the Barretto from the main exit. There is some building work being undertaken currently but this is at the front, near the main entrance and is almost complete (even the builders were very friendly, always a ”good morning” or ”hello” greeting). Overall a very enjoyable stay.

On checking in for 3 days I paid for my room cash up front and was shown my room. A few hours later received a text to say the room I was given was more expensive and I could either pay the difference or leave. After an argument I opted to pay the diff. but despite all the credit card signs on the counter the receptionist could not accept my card as she did not know how to operate the machine. I could not connect to the internet and was told if I looked on my key tag the password was there. However they soon discovered they had put the wrong password on my key. That night I found the new bedside lamp did not work, nor could I open the safe which was locked. The website stated tea and coffee were provided in the room, there was none, it also mentioned a bed cover or duvet, yet my bed had a single thin sheet. the bar fridge had a list of drink prices taped to the door, but was empty. The glass window was smashed and the broken glass held together with sticky tape (Picture provided !) On leaving I was told I did not need to pay the difference on the room !!

The way I went to Benang by myself, so it was a bit complicated, but it's easy to get to the car. The exterior and facilities are old and old, but it is right next to the sea, so there is a advantage to go out to the beach at any time. When you come to family trips, children go to sand play and have a small pool. Food, water and drinks are not allowed to be brought from outside, so you should use the bar and restaurant in the resort. You have to walk about 100 meters to the 7-Eleven convenience store. Most meals are enjoyable between 300-400PESO and have a cocktail at night and have a good sea view. However, it is good to prepare because there are many bugs and mosquitoes

Location is good and budget friendly but other than that there is nothing nice about this hotel. No bottled water, no toiletries and no towels provided. We requested 2 towels and they provided us with a fee. Upon checkout they mentioned that there should be 4 towels, 2 that should have been in the room as complimentary and the 2 that we requested. Housekeeper confirmed he definitely placed 2 towels in the room but there weren't any. Towels looks like rags by the way. They let me go and didnt charge for the ”missing” rags aka towels but asked me to pay P100 for the supposedly additional towels. Which I later realised I shouldn't have paid since there should have been 2 complimentary towels in the first place which they missed to put in the room. The smell on the elevator is bad even in the room. Floor feels sticky and we saw a cockroach crawling around. Corridors are dark and some tiles were dislodged and uneven, we tripped a few times. Toilet bowl does not have a seat cover. Too bad I didn't take pictures. Better stay somewhere else. I should have read reviews from Tripadvisor and booked somewhere else. I relied on Agoda reviews which showed only the positive reviews hence ended up booking in this hotel.

I chose this place by the sea for work and relaxation. This is my second stay. I wanted to relax, but I can't sleep at all because of the music and strange voices from the bar next door. I should have requested a quiet room when I checked in. It was too noisy, so I asked to change the room to the opposite side, but it was refused as it was fully occupied. (It wasn't fully booked) If the next room to the guided room is a bar, I have no choice but to give up and put up with it. If the adjacency is the hotel side, it is quiet. Even if there is a vacancy, they will not deal with it. There is no need to spend money to stay in a hotel where you can't sleep, so there will be no next time. It's a shame because my first impression was good. The staff at the front desk was also disappointing. Meal is Filipino food, but coffee is bad. (Did you reheat yesterday's?)
