Staying in Fullerton Hotel is a wonderful experience. Hesitating between the Fullerton Hotel and the Four Season，finally here we are. Half an hour was spent on the way to the hotel from Sydney International Airport by train，which is in the vicinity of St James Station. Greeted by professional concierge and receptionist，the check in was less than 5 mins. 1 dollar was deducted from card as deposit. The room of 40 square meters was really big for two person. Mini bar was filled with different kind of drinks. Bed & sofa was soft and cozy. Room service was available via a black i-pad on the table，paid by either cash or card when checking out. Sydney Opera House & Hyde Park was nearby，together with other luxury stores. The room price was friendly during off-season，which will definitely double when the new year come. Haven’t tried the Four Season yet and can not give any comments，but Fullerton experience was truly nice and worthy.From$231

When you won't get a 5-star experience at a 5-star hotel.
While the staff was pleasant and helpful, the overall quality of the building and amenities fell short of expectations. The construction seemed to prioritize cost-cutting, resulting in a subpar experience. The room lacked basic items typically provided in a 5-star hotel, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, bottled water, tissues, and a well-stocked minibar.
Additionally, the room was relatively small, and the materials used, including the bathroom basin and carpet, were of low quality. The entertainment system was limited and required payment for most services, without offering basic apps like YouTube or Spotify.
Overall, despite the friendly staff, the hotel's infrastructure and amenities did not meet the standards of a 5-star establishment.From$268

Good rates to stay in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Special offer for paying in cash, otherwise the normal charge for using credit card. Located near Town Hall and Queen Victoria Building with easy access to shops, restaurants and transport. Compact Queen Room was small but had the main requirements if you are only staying in the room to sleep and out all day - comfy large bed, TV on the wall, small desk and chair, air con, free wi-fi, small room safe, small fridge and coffee/tea facilities, blackout curtains, regular and nice rain shower fittings. Soap and wall dispensers of shampoo and body wash provided, but other amenities like hair conditioner, iron and iron board or dental kit can be requested from Guest Services (sign with list in the elevator). Friendly staff. Reception closed in the early hours but just use access card. A few negatives. My room was located facing the nearby wall of the building next door (so no view). I requested a view (if possible) but was informed there were no views for my room. I don't think hotels realise how any outlook can make a big difference for some guests to enjoy their stay. If I book again I would check first if a room facing the street was available. Worse and disturbing for me though was the constant humming noise and sometimes slight vibration caused by the air ventilation shafts outside my window (one quite close and attached to the outside wall). It also took a couple of days and some confusion before I received a make up room/do not disturb door sign. Many hotels these days take this lightly and are very casual about such arrangements, but some guests are more comfortable having this sign. Very minor was the cold water barely ran in the bathroom basin which was a little convenient at times. There was a TV entertainment lounge nook in the corridor outside my room which was not used during my stay but I would find that disturbing if it had been. Overall a pleasant stay but check out the different types of rooms available.From$136

Location is King, it’s within walking distance to the Rocks, Circular Quay, Pitt Street Mall, QVB. Walking distance to bus stops, light rail stop and subway., so you can literally spidering out anywhere in Sydney. The room I already check in was a standard room which I reserved, it’s a very nice room, however, the TV was not working and took the engineer over 20 minutes still not able to fix it. Per my request in changing to another room (which I expected to be another standard room), gratefully they offered me a better room on the top floor with a side view of Sydney bridge on the balcony
Most hotels will encourage its guests to leave towels on the rack for environmental reason. Yet they always changed it anyway. And the Radisson Blu Plaza is the one hotel whose house keeping do really leave your towel on the rack. Well done.
Knowledge on tourist attraction varies from one concierge from another. Really see if you are lucky that day. But overall I highly recommend this hotel in terms of service , location, comfort and hospitality
I planned to have a dip in the hotel pool before heading to airport. Yet it’s not possible with a number of kids playing balls and making big splash dive into the pool, making other people using the pool not possible. Security guards were there twice to stop that, yet the moment they left, activities resumed. Hope the parents can be more considerate as it’s not a big pool

The Amora in Jamison Street is now my 'go to ' city location. It is superbly situated within striking distance of The Rocks,Barangaroo and the main shopping area whilst having superb eateries within walking distance. No need to take the car once parked. We also love the smell as you enter the foyer - very reminiscent of the Imperial in Delhi.

Overall room was clean, however the USB port in the bedroom did not work, the alarm clock was not set and had an extremely annoying buzz, resulting in I had to unplug it anyway. The directions to the parking was extremely poor, no mention of a lift being used or what to expect. I suggested a flyer could be done to answer any questions for customers needing to use the car park service. There was little to no engagement of the staff about this and were only able to restate the poor information that was already given. I felt like a number and not a paying customer. It would seem your attention to details is lacking, and this would flow down from management to floor staff.From$178

We really liked the location, it was right next to Darling Harbour. We got a warm and friendly welcome by the intern Brent at the front desk. He was nice and told us about all the things to do around, however, we had requested a room with a view, that they didn't provide, which we didn't fuss over.
We were pleasantly surprised to see an Indian dish in the already wonderful breakfast spread, and we loved that. The chef was kind enough to proactively ask us if we enjoyed the food and if we had a special request for the breakfast the next day, which they gladly honored. The hotel also had direct access to Darling Harbour, which was very convenient as we wanted to visit it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and liked the hospitality and customer service at Hyatt, and would gladly visit again.From$205

Had a staycation for one night on Friday 7th October as a surprise for my partner’s 40th birthday. We loved it! We were really impressed with the service and the quirky aesthetics. The reception staff were so helpful and friendly. We were given complimentary drink vouchers for the Gowings bar but unfortunately didn’t have time to go so we will be back soon for a drink! Definitely felt more like a more personalised boutique hotel experience compared with some of the big name chain hotels that have more of a standard corporate vibe. I booked the QT king room with breakfast included and we ended up staying in a room on the 10th floor which felt spacious and luxurious and had a view of the QVB. Felt very sound proofed, couldn’t hear any outside noise at all. Pillows were a little soft but the giant king bed more than made up for that. Really liked the option of having breakfast downstairs or room service. We took advantage of having the breakfast delivered (I ordered via the QT app) and the food and coffee were both surprisingly good. We have decided that QT Sydney will be our staycation hotel for special occasions. Looking forward to our next stay! From$227

I had booked two 3 BR suites. We have all stayed there before and enjoyed the location, size of the suites etc. However this time we had some serious concerns and none of the 10 people in my party are likely to stay there again. We arrived at 3 pm to check in – the advertised time. Our suites were not ready but we were told it would be 10 minutes until one of them was. It was almost an hour and a half! Then the second one was ready about another 20-30 minutes after that. This was completely unacceptable. We were given a key to the arrivals lounge and assured there would be tea, coffee etc available. It was a small room, with multiple groups squeezed in, and with no access to running water, so the coffee machine etc were not much use. The two units were OK, but very tired looking – especially the couches. For the price we paid, we expected better. There had been some mix up with my credit card when we checked in, and it turned out that I was charged twice for one room, and reception rang TWICE at around 10 pm to talk to me about it. We had an amazing stay at the Grace hotel. It is conveniently situated in the CBD area and has nice, spacious rooms with complimentary beverages. I would especially like to thank housekeeping team: I forgot my airpods' earphone in the room and it was found very quickly. Moreover, the hotel offers a service for the delivery of lost items, which is extremely convenient especially for those who do not visit Sydney regularly. Check in and out is efficient, wifi good, didn't try the breakfast or the dinner, has a bar on the ground floor. Probably one of the most expensive hotel I've stated at how most convenient. International terminal only a 5 minute walk away. Most terminals in Australia have streamlined the carry on process no need to remove laptops. Rooms very quiet no fumes from the aircraft.

|0.48km from CronullaThe worst Father’s Day stay I have had in over 50 years - the television did not work and we paid extra to have a ocean view room but when you look out all you see are high rise buildings and pine trees from the room - if you go out onto the balcony and look to the right there is the ocean - the balcony door lock did not work and was held by a hook and eye staple ( at least that reminded me of my childhood 70 years ago ) - no milk in the fridge for tea or coffee - the bath mat was a hand towel for one foot only so no chance of 4 for Father’s Day celebration - the food was good and the staff helpful and courteous - on checking out I did voice our concerns and was told the manager would be advised.

The apartment we stayed in overlooked the golf course and the greenery view out of our huge floor to ceiling window (if you could call it a window - but was actually half a wall) was stunning, very calming and peaceful The lay out and furniture were fantastic , it would spotlessly clean, and had all the ammenities one needed. It was an easy 10 mins drive in Cronulla or a quick bus ride in. It was lovely to be able to get our of Cronulla and come back to a very private peaceful apartment at the end of the day. Like hotels, your apartment can be cleaned and made up each morning. Would definitely come back again!

And the bed was very comfortable for my older body - not too soft but not a plank either. The little bathroom has a large shower with a rain head and loads of pressure - an unexpected pleasure. Also, large, thick, soft towels. Dinner downstairs is typical pub food but quite acceptable. Yeah, I'd stay here again. Book direct with the hotel and get 10% of the best deal here.

She checked it out and told me that she could give me an upgrade. That was an immediate delight. There were renovations going on so the hotel was not 100% and that was understandable, but I was definitely happy with the room upgrade and my cousins who were with me for the wedding were also satisfied. The place was a few steps away from Coles and liquorshop and some other shops. Beautiful vies from out room. I wish we stayed longer.

For travellers like us, the hotel location is perfect, it’s about 100m walking from the train station and there are so many eateries and stores to shop and dine! For Muslim travellers, the location also has multiple Halal eateries nearby, including a kebab store right across the street. We can’t find fault in this hotel, honestly. Check in and check out were super quick and easy, staff was so helpful and friendly. Left luggage storage is available and the Wi-Fi is fantastic. The hotel has an elevator, which makes it extra perfect for families with kids and elderly, or travellers with large luggage. Our room is sweet and simple, we really enjoyed the beds and showers. There are also a mini fridge and mugs with the basic complimentary tea-coffee-sugar combo. Our TV is huge and we love it! The extra plug points are also super helpful for us to charge all our devices and power banks. The hotel is basically located on top of a restaurant and sports bar, but trust us, it’s really quiet at night! If you’re travelling to the airport from this hotel, you can take a bus from in front of NAB/Chemist Warehouse and switch to another bus just 10 mins later (use Google map for details); because this only cost us about $4 to get to the airport instead of the $21 train ride! What a deal, right?

We were able to drop off our luggage prior to check-in, which enabled us to begin our exploration of Sydney, so very thankful. The room had everything we needed; comfortable bed, mini-fridge, TV, aircon and ensuite. Everything worked and was very neat and tidy. Seriously, we could not fault it. The pub! The food! Soooo good! The hotel is very close to the rail station which was a plus for us. Post recent renovations the rooms were all clean, very well maintained and had a “new” feeling. Comfortable beds and great bathroom facilities in all. More Like an upper class Hotel really. Very nice. We all ate at the hotel most nights as the food was good and Al had a wide and GF selections cooked well. A quiz night was a bit of fun one night. Penshurst itself had a great selection of local coffee and breakfast options. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Definitely will stay here again.

It was very conveniently located just below the departures hall. Because of its size, there’s really not much to expect, but the cleanliness and service are superb. I did have one concerning experience when my room suddenly was filled with the smell of suffocating engine fumes, and I was woken up in the middle of the night. I have written a letter about it; I am waiting for the hotel’s response.

From what I understand, there has been a renovation in the last few years, and as a result,the rooms and the bathrooms have been renovated well. |13.56km from CronullaThis review is for Kingsgrove Hotel at 236 Kingsgrove Road. We stayed here four nights, and found the hotel to be clean, comfortable, and quiet. Layout is the bottom floor is a large spacious pub with restaurant, upper floor has 11 hotel rooms and some offices. Our room had a nice view of the street. There are separate entrances for the pub and for the hotel rooms. Check in is at the pub. The room was a bit small, furnished with a bed large enough for two people, end tables on each side of it, desk and chair suitable for computer work, preparing food, etc., a small refrigerator, a closet with clothes rack, iron and ironing board, and a television. The bed was a bit soft, but comfortable. Bathroom was clean and in good condition, plenty of hot water, big shower, exhaust fan. No smoking allowed, and the room didn't smell. The window is not built to open, and it got a bit stuffy sometimes. There was a ceiling fan. The AC worked well. Free parking was included, but the lot is not large, you might have to wait for someone to leave before you can park, especially during busy times. We had no problem parking in the early afternoon, about half the spots were available then, but they tended to fill up in the evening. The lot is closed when the pub is: 4AM to 10AM, but you can still exit if you need to. Location is excellent, the train station is about 100 meter walk, about half hour ride to CBD (Central Business District) where most touring attractions are, and the airport is about 20 minute ride, very convenient. There is a Woolworths grocery store a block away, a BWS Liquor store, and various other shops and restaurants in the area. The pub restaurant was a bit limited, most big meat and fries type things, not much in the way of salad or fruit.
