My wife and I loved this resort. The service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and everything was done with a lot of thought. We arrived at the resort at 12am in the night and they had prepared some complimentary food for us because the restaurant closes at 11pm. The location is just amazing for a resort, they have their own private beach. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, they got both the buffet option and also an a la carte buffet menu. I normally hate hotel breakfasts but this one was just too good. We had dinner at their Beach Restaurant and it was amongst some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had.
To top it off there is a really smart and friendly cat that roams the hill side. We loved her so much, we’ll definitely have to come back to see her.Breakfast

It is a luxury hotel in a strategic location,the hotel room is big and nice with a bathtub and other amenities. Located in the busy area of pratunam where you can easily access to pratunam market, platinum, big C, and central world all in a walking distance. This is our favourite hotel we've stayed at Bangkok so far. The location is fantastic, right next to BTS, central world and Erawan Shrine. Food are all up to a really great standard here with plenty of restaurant options and breakfast was also amazing. Service is top notch and everyone is super nice, welcoming and accommodating. Great hotel. Modern, clean and well thought out, with a wide variety of facilities. Location is quite close to alot of things but roads nearby full of traffic. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice. Room service and drinks in the hotel were expensive. Staff were all amazing and so helpful. Great stay would definitely recommend. Special mention for the housekeeping team working on floor 32 around room 3215, they always done an amazing job with the room and were always so pleasant is you crossed them in the hallway always saying hello with a smile. The Eastin Grand app was very very useful also, great idea.Breakfast

I recently stayed at this resort and overall, I had a decent experience. Thay upgraded me to romance sea view which i think not much different from what i had booked,view was blocked by trees and other villa .
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, which made my stay more enjoyable. The place was also very clean and well-maintained, which was a huge plus.
However, one major downside was the number of insects that came out at night. They were very noisy and made it difficult to sleep well. If you're a light sleeper or easily bothered by insects, this may not be the best place for you.
The breakfast was pretty standard and nothing to shout about. It was good enough to get me through the morning, but nothing special.
The biggest downside for me was the price. It was quite expensive compared to other hotels in the area, and I'm not sure if it was worth the extra cost.
Overall, if you have plenty of money to spend and are looking for a quiet place to stay, this hotel may be a good option for you. However, if you're on a budget or easily bothered by insects, you may want to look elsewhere.There are plenty of resorts and hotels near kata,my 3 cents worth of experience
One last thing ,i was bothered by the breakfast staff who impatiently told off a chinese lady,wait wait,just wait.If she decided to work in a service industry,she need to have more patient towards customerBreakfast

The villa we stayed in was beautiful with really nice amenities- expect prices to be at a premium in comparison to the mainland but remember you are getting the island experience in return ! - The staff where really friendly, helpful and attentive. on a side note I’m not the type of traveller to write a poor review however in this case I must add that during the few weeks I’ve travelled through phuket really poor guest behaviour was a standout at this resort - the resort must put in measures towards dealing with the poor guest culture they are allowing towards the employees and other guests - There is no expectation in place for guests social etiquette nor a security presence to support employees or guests - A consideration I would definitely take into account prior to choosing this resort for a special occasion / a place of relaxation during your holiday. Barcelo are a great hotel group and I’ve stayed with them at several of there locations , however the complete lack of consideration towards the guest culture of the resort , barcelos island paradise will end in island nightmareBreakfast

I recently stayed at Somerset Hotel Pattaya, and while my experience had a rough start due to a booking mistake I made, the overall stay was enjoyable. However, after much effort, the hotel kindly assisted with a name change, which I deeply appreciate.

I got the suite with the pool, it does not look like the photos. I had a pretty high traffic area where my pool faced, and there’s loud music at the restaurant next door, last thing I wanted when I was hoping for isolation after 8 weeks of rough work on the road. A door was missing in my bedroom and maintenance had to come reinstall it on my second day. Spa never had an availability during my stay, and buggies are required to go anywhere in the park (unless roaming in the heat is your thing). The service was slow at times (I’d often come back to my room and see room service plates stacked outside for a later cleanup) - but my room was meticulously cleaned each day and the buggy staff were incredibly friendly.Breakfast

We stayed in Intercontinental for 2 nights and chosen the Club room with afternoon tea and sunset package benefit. The breakfast & afternoon tea is nice which you can order any drinks you like for the whole day. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is free scheduled shuttle service to Tesco and Central Mall which is good as the hotel is far from anywhere especially if you don’t have a car, it’s quite troublesome to go out. For dinner we ate at the nearby Island View Restaurant which provided free transport to the hotel. We requested for a room with lesser steps/staircases distance as my elderly parents were travelling with us and they cannot walk to many steps, which they provided the nearest room from lobby. I have never seen wonderful service in any hotel in the world, especially from the reception staff and the lady who runs the reception there. They go out of their way to please you. I recommend taking the rooms on the ground floor with access to the pool - an experience. The hotel environment and services are all good, but there are three flaws:
1. It is located in an isolated and barren land, very far from the city center. The drive takes 1 hour. Taxi is difficult and expensive. Although the hotel has a shuttle bus to and from the city center. Go there at 11:00 am and return at 4:00 pm.
2. The hotel’s spa is really not that good, and it’s super expensive. It cost 2,000 RMB for the four of us. At the Herb chain store in Chawenghai in the city center, we can get a 1-hour body massage or foot massage with 300 plants.
3. Breakfast is okay, but because there are no hotels near the hotel, lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant are very expensive and unpalatable. Moreover, the menu is only in English but not Chinese, and there are no pictures to point out the items. You can only rely on your imagination.Breakfast

We really enjoyed the Meliá Resort. The service is high and nothing is too much. The resort and rooms are clean. Very extensive breakfast buffet, which is constantly replenished.
It is located in a pleasant street, with some restaurants & massage salons.
You can reach Chaweng and Fisherman Village in 10 minutes by taxi! Plenty of taxis in the street at the Melia resort!
Only downside; Many guests lay down towels at the pool & beach. Fortunately, the staff keeps a close eye on this. Melia resort should purchase more beach beds & umbrellas.
Employee Baw in particular is a really great host at the pool & beach! He makes sure you don't miss anything!Breakfast

The room has its own pool. It is spacious and perfect for couple or family. The whole ambiance of the hotel is like a paradise, very quiet and peaceful with all facilities available. We are very grateful with the service from the FO Guide for a smooth check in, their manager Edson for touring us around and giving recommendations. We ate dinner buffet and was serenaded by Marie and Medic, they are wonderful singer. Our server Joan was also bubbly and attentive to us. Stayed cottage sea view. Despite the remote room location from reception to room (its up the hill) there is shuttle bus service at your beck and call, so that somewhat solves the issue of convenient travelling. My biggest irk is that the jacuzzi only has cold water, and when your up high and no tree blocking the wind, its kinda pointless to have a jacuzzi because its freaking cold. Would stay here again if they provided hot water jacuzzi, otherwise, just dont pick the cottage room type.Breakfast

This is a review I would have wanted to see before going. Let’s start with the good: the resort is stunning. Very aesthetically pleasing the lights trees and structure. The resort is big so they have pretty little cold carts to take you around the resort that are on call by simply dialing reception. The staff is responsive which is a perk and everyone smiles and is kind. The attitude is a huge plus. You will like that.
Now the bad: it will shock you how quickly the room will become completely wet if you turn off the air conditioning. Unfortunately the AC is turned on super low meaning ice cold. As a result difficult to stay in the room without a sweater and socks. The bathtub also wasn’t working properly (drainage) therefore after freezing at night can’t exactly heat up from a nice steamy bath. The shower is okay though If you learn the dials. So I opted for long hot showers but the bathtub was part of my rest time and couldn’t do it. There was no compensation for this events but The staff did offer to change the room but the only available room was deep down on one of the ground floors with not much light and lots of stairs and no view. I opted out of it. The beach: You should know if you think the beach is connected to the resort it isn’t. You’ll have to exit the resort and cross the road to get there. Make sure you carry shoes as it’s a rough sand beach. It’s not the smooth white sand beach I somehow thought it would be but it’s fairly on the cleaner side in comparison to others. If white find sand clean beaches are what you want this isn’t it. The beach is nice to look at from the room though. There is no free minibar etc like other five star restaurants offer so prepare for that. As it’s a resort it will also cost much more than a normal shop. So here is an honest review. Really nice staff,pretty views. Facilities are okay like casa boho was a nice bar.
This is what I wish I read before going so I prepare my mind: I left earlier because I just couldn’t relax like I had hoped. Enjoy!!Breakfast

Great for families with children. A tonne of activities for kids, we didn’t have time to leave the resort for external tours. A bit far from the airport but has almost everything you need for kids. There are 5 restaurants but don’t have expectations for quality. Not sure if we’ll go back due to its location but definitely value for money. Rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is located in a very good location, directly connected to the beach, giving it a private beach-like feel. The restaurant staff took great care of us, and we were very impressed with both the breakfast and dinner. The rooftop bar was also stunning. The room's soundproofing was excellent, and the pool was amazing.
On the downside, we arrived at the hotel slightly later than the normal check-in time. Upon arrival, we were informed that our room was not yet ready and were asked to wait without being told how long it would take. Additionally, the check-in staff only verbally informed us where the lift was located. Honestly, it would be better if they could walk guests to the lift, as the hotel's layout can easily mislead guests and cause them to go the wrong way. Once we checked into the room, we found hair on the floor, which was clearly not ours. The beach bag was not set up in our room, and we had to call to request it, even though my friend's room was properly prepared when they entered.
The second day, housekeeper took away the bathrobe and did not replace it. When we called to ask for a replacement, we were questioned about how many people were staying in the room, which felt unnecessary.
It would be great if management could look into these issues and make improvements. Overall, however, we still enjoyed our stay.Breakfast

If you are people who are into shopping & wanted to spend more time at say Erawan area, this hotel is definitely not for you, despite the hotel nearby has a metro station, but heading to Siam Square, Rachaprasong district is very inconvenient, you have to take the metro to Silom station & change to the sky train, and to make things worst, the MRT doesn’t have the store value card, resulted you have to waste so much time buying ticket every single trip, and machine is so sensitive over their notes, rejected several times till have to see staff at control to sort out the issue.
Wanted to head over to the floral market, map indicated less then 2km, the tuk tuk wanted to charge THB400 for one way, while hotel told us, taxi cost is less then THB150, end of the day, we decided to use the GPS map & take a leisure walk there.Breakfast

Very nice hotel hidden in a residential area. It’s a proper hotel and really lives up to the expectation of being a brand under Banyan Group.
It comes with a kitchenette, which comes in handy if you like to enjoy local food at the comfort of the hotel. The facilities are simple; a small pool and a gym. But being out most of the time, that doesn’t really bother me.
The only cons is that it’s quite far from the main road. There’s a shuttle service provided by the hotel, but we only managed to catch it going out. So for the return trip, we had to walk about 10 minutes from BTS Thong Lor.Breakfast

Amazing hotel and a very friendly staff. Holiday inn express is located at a great place to shop. MBK mall and Siam centre are just a 10 minute walk away. The green line and blue line BTS are also 5minutes walk.
Rooms are clean and the ones with the stadium view are great. Great staff and very accommodating, allowed me to check out late.

Great location for exploring downtown / old town, right next to the entry of a temple Phaya Yakkharaj (Southern Pavillion) and many other sights.
On sundays you‘ve a huge night market right in front of your door step, so make sure you’re going to stay over the weekend.
Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Room amenities and the entire minibar incl. Snake is refilled daily free of charge.
Furthermore there‘s a afternoon tea time with additional free snacks and drinks.
Just the breakfast selection could be a bit wider.
Especially when you have your breakfast close to closure (10:30am), you might be disappointed as not much will be refilled after 10am.
The room are spacious and well equipped, my kids and I had 2303 & 2302.
Just a proper hair drier is need, not this built in useless blowers we all know and hate to use.
Also the provided pillows are ultra hard and high, so you may request for a extra soft feather pillow or neck support pillow if needed, which will be provided by the hotel staff / housekeeping.
Hotel pool area is clean and well maintained!

The arrival experience is good. The breakfast experience is good. We had breakfast by the river, nice weather and good quality of breakfast served. The staffs are well- trained and fluent in English.
Our room is spacious but the interior design is too complicated, the lighting switch not in good location

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, in a great location. We stayed in a suite which was the nicest room we’ve ever stayed in, the only thing it lacked was a balcony. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always catered to our needs. All within a short walking distance there were night markets, restaurants, bars and a Thai boxing stadium. We will definitely stay here again if we get the chance to come back to Chiang Mai.Breakfast

The 2-bedroom room is very suitable for friends to travel with children. I like the independent swimming pool on the first floor. You can swim and chat at any time. The location of the hotel is a little off, which is more suitable for self-driving travel.
But the overall texture is very good, and the breakfast tastes good. The only drawback is that the hotel is a healing hotel that advocates nature, so there is no air conditioning in the restaurant. Chiang Mai, which is more than 40 degrees, is a bit hot. I will stay here next time.Breakfast

The room has a swimming pool, very comfortable, and the beach is beautiful... It's an isolated hotel. We came here by boat... The hotel staff lined up on the beach to greet us, which was very ceremonial... There are views of the sea on both sides of the hotel... There is a road in the middle. There is only one restaurant, which serves both Thai and Western food... Overall it's good... I brought my kids here mainly for swimming... The restaurant is not expensive and acceptable... Breakfast is buffet and a la carte... Most people stay for 2 nights... It's almost full these days due to the National Day holidayBreakfast

The staff at the concierge were courteous and welcoming. I would like to thank Mr. Add for helping me with all the access to different areas in the hotel and also transportation to Pattaya bus stop. He was extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Khop khun mak mak kha! 🙂

The location is the best part , away from the city’s chaos the hotel is big with around 175 rooms , the horizon room with a 🌊 ocean view is great. They have a good spread of the breakfast . Overall food is good , they have 3 pools .Breakfast

The hotel is about a 30-minute drive to the Pattaya walking street / Pattaya Central World. It is not recommended to stay here if you are looking for fun in the centre of Pattaya.

The front desk staff is very helpful with a smile. The staff in the restaurant may need some more training during the breakfast time or they may be understaffed. The maintenance team responded very quickly when the TV could not connect to the internet, and they arrived within 10 minutes of the call.
