Hotel Around Takayama, Ascend Hotel Collection

The free transfer bus is operated at intervals of 30 minutes ~ 1 hours from the west exit of JR Takayama station, and guests can use it without reservation. There was a front desk, lobby, restaurant and open-air bath on the first floor, and the restaurant had dinner business, but this time I was allowed to use breakfast only. Although it was originally a reservation in a single room, it was good to have an upgrade to a twin room on the fourth floor at check-in, and the room was large 々 and I could sleep comfortably. It was good to be away from the urban area of HIDA Takayama and to taste the resort feeling at a reasonable price, but there were no restaurants and convenience stores around, and if you don't have a car, you will be around Takayama station in advance You need to finish the meal or buy it at takeout.

The Hida beef I had with my meal was very delicious. All rooms have open-air baths, which is a blessing in this time of the coronavirus pandemic. The hot springs were also nice. It was a great trip and we stayed in a nice hotel. thank you very much.

It is not a hotel, at the sight jumps this statement that you are presenting, but quality price ratio, I give you my approved staff and distinction. We were made with a room with a shared bathroom and put us on the last floor, perfect, without just noise or trouble of other disturbing guests. The room was very large and spacious, it could have run a marathon inside without resorting all the resorts of its large stay. I had everything, his table with chairs, set of you, a refrigerator to use to my taste and willingness, yukatas to sleep and even a phone of those wheel that my grandmother had in her house. The nice and comfortable futons, and with the warmness of a mother's dressing, I just missed a kiss on the front. To make our skatological and worldly needs we had a Japanese bathroom in our floor, which translated means a hole in the ground without more sights, but if you descend with the deadly on the lower floor, Before you get to the common bathroom, there is a Western bathroom of those who receive you warming your tails and recite you to Bécquer so that others do not hear the curiosous mojo descending into hells while you give the world the best of you. The common bathroom is a considerable hit, and that I am gracious to show my beautiful Helenistic body in public, because all fall rendered to my charms, more did not bother me at this time as the water warmed my thoughts and my body by lifting it The art condition. I would genuinely repeat.

Wonderful hospitality at this ryokan. We wanted a traditional stay with futons (though I was hesitant because sleeping on essentially the floor is not my idea of a good time) but it really wasn’t terrible. Everyone we encountered who was working was so friendly and helpful. The first night we were offered a beer for our group and they put together our bed while we spent time in the onsen. The onsen was warm but relaxing, and upstairs from where our room was located. The difficult part for me as a person who really doesn’t want to sit on the floor was that we had no seat that wasn’t on the ground (I’m a big, tall girl and the ground is so far down). They had a lovely sitting room where we could be on couches in the common area. They had a variety of snacks they offered us to try and our second night, they were so nice to share with us what they were. The lines of communication were open courtesy of Google translate, so we could have conversations with each other despite not speaking the same language.
Hida Takayama Guest House OUKA

Really disappointing. We've booked 2 nights in a Japanese style bedroom for a couple and when we arrived the lady told us our bedroom has a problem with the bathroom so they've ”upgraded” us. However instead of a Japanese style room with futons they gave us a western style bedroom with 4 single beds. The room was boring without any Japanese style. We aren't in Japan to sleep in the same bed (and even inconfortable ones in Ouka Guesthouse) than at home. They said we are lucky because we have a big kitchen on our floor of 3 bedrooms. Yes true but we didn't mind as we didn't plan to use it at all. And the second disappointment was that on our floor there were 3 bedrooms and one of them had a big Japanese door so pretty sure it was a Japanese style bedroom. Unoccupied for 2 nights. Anyway. Worst experience we had during our trip in Japan. I would expect more than a simple ”sorry”.
