Hot Spring Resort
We have been to this hotel before and it's always the best choice in Wentang. The reception staff speaks English, John at the reception helped us a lot. Everyone is very polite and friendly. The breakfast is good and diverse. The only thing I would complain about is the cheap sugar juices they offer during meals, otherwise everything is great. The room we had was big and definitely a must if you have a child. The only thing that needs to be changed is the kids mattress, it's basically a wooden board so none of us could sleep there. The hotel hot springs pools are small but ok if you have a small child and don't mind just soaking a bit. They're a bit expensive considering we're hotel guests. The hotel kids playroom is nice but need some toys, there's not much there. I highly recommend this place and we'll definitely come again.

Jiujiang Liansheng Happy Town
I had mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. Starting off with the positive things: 1) they were essential one of only 2 places in the City of Jiujiang that would accommodate foreigners during the pandemic. My green arrow code had an asterisks, since I was in Shenzhen within the past 14 days which had a few cases at the time. This made it hard for me to find a place to stay. 2) The location is ok, away from city center but close to an indoor hot bath spa facility. This was the highlight of my stay. 3) wifi was fairly solid, hot water for showering was available, they offered free cleaning service for my dirty clothes, free hot beverages at the lobby and a nice lounge with a ping pong table on the 5th floor. Now regarding the cons: 1) the landline telephone from my room wasn't working to help me place calls. I tried to reach out to reception to talk about issues, but I couldn't get them on the line. This meant I had to physically go down to the lobby level and communicate my concerns. No problems receiving calls though. 2) The elevator reeked of a strong revolting cigarette stench. Despite there clearly being a no smoking sign in the machine, cetain patrons outright disregarded the rules and did as they pleased. Hotel personnel don't even bother to confront such individuals, which is very upsetting to non-smokers like me. Rather than making an effort to create a healthier and cleaner environment for everyone, the administration prefers to turn a blind eye to such activities, since they fear backlash from such clients and potential loss of revenues from them. This is a major societal issue, but I believe that it will get solved gradually as time goes by and the younger generation gets better educated. I resorted to taking the rear stairwell as an alternative instead. 3) my room key stopped working abruptly on several occasions, hence I had to solicit the cleaning ladies to help open my room door. Furthermore, I eventually lost that room key, and when I went to tell the receptionist what happened, they gave me a new room key but told me I must pay 50¥ (a third of my nightly room rate) as a replacement fee at checkout. Needless to say, I thought it was inappropriate for them to ask for that much money. Most major hotel chains would happily give a new room key for free. 4) the majority of food options in their breakfast buffet were saturated with either added sugar or oil. 5) ************ cards were regularly thrown underneath my room door. It's supposed to be illegal to solicit such services, but its rampant and openly done with no efficient crackdown. This is another thing the hotel administration could do to improve its protocols. *Most of the days I spent in Jiujiang were plagued with torrential rain. Obviously this is beyond human control, so I'm not blaming anybody for this. It made my stay in the city unfortunately less pleasant, as I didn't even once get to see a blue sky with a sun. Overall I would give this place a 7/10 Recommended, but if you are a foreigner then be aware of the aforementioned details. Nobody spoke English, which was to be expected. Be prepared to speak the country's official language if you want to get around in Jiujiang! 😁

A very carefully run B&B. It has been newly opened for a few months. The environment is good and hygienic. The bedding and towels are very clean. It is equipped with a small restaurant with farm food, a chess and card room, a small commodity cabinet, and a laundry room on the 4th floor rooftop. The laundry detergent is very convenient for washing and drying. The boss and his wife are friendly and provide attentive service. We stayed for 2 nights. The boss told us that when visiting Wangxian Valley, it is usually better to enter the park at 3 pm, so that we can enjoy the scenery day and night. In the morning, you can go to Longtan Waterfall opposite the B&B Village. It is a free and undeveloped primitive attraction and a good place to play in the water with clear water. Thank you to the proprietress who lent us a battery car to drive us. She was afraid that we didn’t know the road and personally sent us to the B&B Village to guide us on the route up the mountain. Although breakfast is simple, the varieties are different on two days. The lady boss will ask you what you want to eat and what time you want to have breakfast. It is worth recommending to stay!

Center of Wuyuan/Wuyuan Railway Station
Disappointing stay here. We had no choice but to extend our stay because it was Chinese new year and very difficult to find another place to stay and also my husband was sick so we had to change our plans and stay an extra night so he could rest. The place smelled like smoke everywhere. We have a baby with us and wanted a smoke free place. Despite the signs in the lobby saying No Smoking, people were smoking there and the front desk people didn’t care. The towels in our room had ashes on them and smelled like smoke. They were also ripped and badly needed to be replaced. (We got a smoke free room and learned on our trip that all they do for smoke free rooms is open the windows to air it out before you arrive. 🤦🏻♀️) There was insufficient toilet paper when we arrived and although they did provide more when we asked it was just inconvenient. The toilet paper holder was broken so we had to find somewhere else to put the roll of toilet paper. The sink leaked and it was supposed to be a dry washroom which is one of the reasons why I booked the place but turned out to be a wet washroom. Incredibly inconvenient with a baby. The shower drainage was missing a cover and it didn’t feel safe for my child when showering because her little feet could get stuck inside it. One of the days we needed to rest a little longer and the housekeeper asked us when we were leaving so she could clean our room. We said we needed 2 more hours (around 2pm) she kept trying to peer inside our room and said she wanted to get off work early. I found that incredibly rude. I understand it’s CNY and you want to go home early but that’s not something you should say to a guest who paid to stay at the hotel. Front desk people also did not seem friendly. Never saw any of them smile. We obviously don’t speak Chinese fluently and they laughed at us when they couldn’t understand us and wasn’t helpful in any way. Overall, not a very pleasant stay. Would not stay here again.

Hilton Sanqingshan Resort

We enjoyed our two night stay at Hilton Sanqingshan. The hotel was quiet and some of its restaurants are not open at present due to reduced tourist numbers. The room was impeccably clean however and the hotel staff did their best to help us coordinate our day trip to see the mountain and to arrange our transfer back to our train. The village is very quiet but the locals are incredibly friendly and eager to welcome tourists from the cities and overseas to show off the amazing beauty of the area.

The room is clean, tidy and quiet, with a fully intelligent accommodation environment and the projection is very clear! The boss is very nice and hospitable. I am very grateful to the boss for taking us to several places during the whole trip (all for free!). Unfortunately, we did not see the sea of clouds, but I am very happy to meet such a B&B owner! Wangxian Valley is worth visiting. The food in the scenic spot is about the same as the market price. It is the most reasonable scenic spot I have ever visited. The breakfast and lunch shop recommended by the main B&B owner is delicious and reasonably priced! Thank you again boss!
Narada Resort & Spa Wugongshan

I have been to Wugong Mountain once before, and I thought it was very good, so I have been planning to go again. I happened to be free this weekend, so I set off. We have many hotels under Narada in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, so I saw one in Pingxiang and felt very cordial. A hot spring hotel, I chose decisively. The hotel is still very good, the lobby is very stylish, the front desk service is warm, professional and efficient. The space of the room is very large, it is enough for a family, and there is a nice balcony, which is very comfortable to bask in the sun! The hot spring is very distinctive. There are pools everywhere, no need to queue, the environment is clean, and it is very comfortable after soaking. In the afternoon, I specially rented a set of Hanfu and ordered a Chinese meal. It has a strong cultural atmosphere and is very interesting! There is a restaurant in the A hotel, the taste is good, the price is not expensive, it is very cost-effective! Really a nice hotel!

We came for a biking holiday. We stayed 4 nights. We left every morning on a different biking route. Lots of roads and villages. We each had a guest room. I was disappointed that I had the smallest room but they thought I wanted to be on the same floor as my friends. They moved me to the 2nd floor and now I had the same HUGE place as my friends. In the sitting room, is an L-shaped couch. It pulls out as a bed. So I guess this room could fit up to 4 people. The shower is huge. There is plenty of space to wash our bikes. The sauna/hot air thing was great for drying our clothes too! Had we been more people, we probably would have rented one of the bigger places and shared instead of getting our own guest rooms. It's fairly quiet. Breakfast was served in a separate traditional building. Normal Chinese breakfast, but asked for the noodles with the fried eggs! The kitchen staff were very accommodating when we asked if we could have breakfast at 7 am. Also, we asked for a late check-out because we wanted to shower after our ride. They let each of us have our rooms till 4pm at no charge. It would be great if the stone tiles could be power washed as it was quite slippery when it rained. I didn't have my driver's license but I needed to go pick up my friend and his broken bike. So I went back to ask the manager if he could drive our car 35 km to pick up my friend. He was happy to drive me! The sign to the guest house was not installed but if you look for the castle-like building, you'll find it. It was tricky getting to the hotel because we arrived late and it was absolutely chucking down with rain. This is a great, gorgeous place if you want peace and quiet. My room had a river view. Great for relaxation. Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful customer service that goes above and beyond expectations. The breakfast was high quality and tasty. The only disappointment was that the swimming pool water was dirty. The gym was well equipped and the hotel rooms are spacious and clean.
