The service was a bit inconsistent, but I have to say, they really delivered on my request for a room with a better view when I booked in advance, which is a big plus. The most bizarre thing, though, is that you have to pick up your own food deliveries; staff can't do it for you, and there are no robots either. As for the facilities, well, they're quite old-fashioned.

From 2014 to 2019, I spent six-weeks each summer teaching in Beijing, and over that time, the Boyue Beijing Hotel has served as nothing less than a home away from home for me. It is exactly its friendly embrace and easy elegance that distinguishes the Boyue from Beijing’s larger, higher-profile hotels. Still, after a six-year absence caused by the pandemic, I was concerned that I might find a far less welcoming version of the place I had truly come to love. It was a relief to see that Liu Baojun was still out front and that Lisa was still at the head of the dining room, but so many others who had made my stays at the Boyue so unforgettable had moved on. However, no sooner than I checked in, my worries began to vanish completely. That’s when I first met three extraordinary new staff members—Jiaqi, Yonah , and their supervisor Anais—who demonstrated again and again that hospitality was still the heart and soul of coming to stay at this Chaoyang institution. Through the hard work of such talented and committed professionals as these three, the Boyue not only continues to check all the boxes that one expects to find at the highest levels of the hospitality industry—comfort, attentiveness, fine dining, and first-rate facilities—but I am also convinced that in the years since the pandemic, it has actually surpassed its own considerable track record of excellence. Thank you, one and all, for making my latest visit such an absolute pleasure!

The Grand Millennium Beijing has an excellent location with convenient transportation, and my stay was very satisfying. The lobby is elegant, and check-in was efficient and quick. The room was spacious and comfortable, clean and bright, with soft bedding that ensured a good night's sleep. The service staff were warm and professional, responding quickly to requests, which made me feel well taken care of. Breakfast was rich and varied, offering a comprehensive mix of Chinese and Western options, all of high quality. Overall, it offers great value for money and is an ideal choice for both business and leisure travel.

Offers superb services and is attentive to its guest which lives up to its name as a Japanese styled hotel. During period of stay, the gym and pool are down - hotel manager has kindly explained the situation and helped to arrange alternative services to make up for the experience (e.g., arranging breakfast box for us since we are leaving the hotel early in the morning) which is commendable. I personally like their Taobao collection service because they will arrange everything nicely if parcels reach hotel ahead of time and get guest to sign off to confirm quantity (instead of some hotels which require you to provide delivery codes which can be cumbersome for large quantities of parcel). The staff were also attentive and offers great help and services for all the questions we had, which is perfect for first time family travellers. Location is also good (within second circle of Beijing) and walking distance to train. Good food options nearby the hotel as well, and for travellers who are lazy to get out, couple of good restaurants availability. Connecting path from hotel back door to Lawson and a Japanese bakery as well. If you prefer Beijing famous 紫光园, just cross the road from Lawson (good for breakfast and dinner/Peking duck). Grab the map that concierge prepares when you reach the hotel :) Facilities wise, I personally like the spacious room set up and the card on the table which states clearly what are available for guests (including curlers, mirrors, steam iron), good for business travels. Can tell the hotel does have some age, but for the price point, it is acceptable since they do clean it well. Especially good that the housekeepers do room tour every night to ask guest if water/amenities needs to be replenished. Really enjoyed the experience! I will recommend to those who values service and convenience, especially families with elderly and kids.

China International Exhibition Center Area Beijing|7.13km from city center
Honestly, and without exaggeration, this was the worst hotel experience I've had among all the hotels I've stayed in. 1. The hotel is very large, and the lobby is grand and beautiful. There are staff members to help with luggage. I'm not sure of its star rating, but it has a swimming pool and a gym, and the location is good. 2. Now for the downsides: The breakfast quality is mediocre. The front desk for check-in is on the 3rd floor. Every time you want to go downstairs, you have to go to the 3rd floor to switch elevators, and then take another elevator or escalator down. The same goes for going up, you have to keep switching. This is quite inconvenient. Additionally, the laundry room charges for washing clothes, and it's a third-party service that closes at night, so it's not available 24/7. 3. I booked a king-size bed room for nearly 900 per night, and it was quite ordinary and not very spacious. There was no welcome fruit upon arrival. The mini-fridge only had one small bottle of Coke and one small bottle of Sprite, as shown in the picture. On the first day, I used the tea, but it wasn't refilled on the second day. I asked a staff member for another Coke and Sprite, thinking I'd drink them on the road, and I was incredibly surprised when they refused. The reason given was that since my previous drinks hadn't been used, they couldn't provide more. I booked for two nights, which essentially means I paid for two sets of amenities. Shouldn't two sets of amenities be configured identically? Two small bottles cost just a few yuan. Even a budget hotel wouldn't refuse something like that. It just makes the hotel seem stingy. Some staff members are snobby, arrogant, and impatient, even rolling their eyes. Just because they see a lot of foreigners, do they think they're rich? Do they look down on everyone? The experience was actually worse than staying at an Atour hotel.

Check-in was a bit chaotic as there was some confusion regarding my booking of two rooms, which led to a need for two keys. This was somewhat frustrating. However, the hotel itself was immaculate and very clean! I was impressed with the standard of the rooms, and the facilities were excellent. The pool was pristine, and the gym amenities were fantastic. The hotel matched the photos perfectly, and we had a lovely stay overall. For breakfast, we ordered room service. One room’s breakfast was satisfactory, but the other ordered two waffles and received pancakes instead. We brought this up at checkout, but the same lady who checked us in didn’t seem interested in addressing the issue and charged us the full amount despite their mistake.

Beijing Xinqiao Hotel was such a perfect start to our first trip to China! The front desk staff was helpful and attentive. The room was great, with such a cool city view!! The bed was super comfortable. Please note: there is no heating in the rooms, but they do provide warm blankets! We really appreciated all of the room amenities (especially the great smelling shampoo and conditioner!) but especially liked the bottles of water. After long days of walking it was nice to have them in the room. The hotel is bustling with tourists and the lobby is usually busy, but our room was quiet! Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious - but be warned going around 9 AM you may need to be patient to wait for a table. I received packages while there and the concierge assisted with that as well. A wonderful stay - highly recommend!!!

We were travelling with our elderly parents, one of the main considerations are convenient location within walking distance to foods/shoppings as well as good value, Sunworld Hotel did not disappoint on all counts. wangfujin pedestrian shopping strip is a short stroll away. There is a decent gym with dumbell (up tp 25 kg), strength training machine and a treadmill. A free laundry with dryer and complimentary laundry detergent is also very convenient. This was my second trip to Beijing in mid-to-late October, and I chose to stay at the same hotel I did years ago, which added a nice sense of familiarity to revisiting the city. The most appealing aspect is the hotel's central location in Wangfujing. The interior environment is still quite good; whenever you return, you can enjoy a hot tea in the lobby to ward off the early winter chill. I didn't get the 'Jiangnan' room, so I opted for a premium room with a bathtub. Although I don't usually take baths, the room felt much more spacious, and having a window for ventilation was convenient for temperature control. The cleaning lady was very outgoing and easy to communicate with; she replenished the water daily, and tea bags and soft drinks were refilled the next day after use. For small items I needed temporarily, I could provide a list on WeChat mini-program, and a robot would deliver them, which is perfect for introverted travelers. However, since there's only one elevator and one robot, food deliveries might be a bit delayed during peak hours, but calling for human service is a warm touch. When checking out on the morning of October 26th, the front desk attendant was very gentle, asked for detailed feedback, and even gave a small gift, which brought a perfect end to my trip. Sorry I promised to leave a review but only had time to write a few words today (๑• . •๑). Finally, I suggest the hotel updates the in-room TVs when appropriate; not being able to easily cast content feels a bit outdated.

I really have to leave a review. I've been to Beijing many times, and this stay was incredibly satisfying. The price was reasonable too. I absolutely loved the room, even though it only had two chairs instead of the three-seater sofa I prefer. It's about a ten-minute bike ride to Tiananmen Square, or five to six minutes if you're not with kids. Nanluoguxiang is a twenty-minute subway ride away, and the hotel is just a three-minute walk to the subway station. The 5th floor of the hotel has a New World department store, and there's also a mall downstairs. Plus, there's the famous Fangzhuan Factory Zhajiangmian nearby, making shopping super convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Beijing.

Service: When checking in, I added the WeChat of our exclusive butler, Abel Cao, who was very attentive and helpful. He answered all our questions promptly and was incredibly detailed. The hotel also provided complimentary apples as a late-night snack, which were delicious. Additionally, our booking included a complimentary travel photography session. We contacted the photographer a day in advance, and the shoot was arranged for the next day. We received 5 free photos, and the results were excellent. Environment: The hotel generally has a great ambiance. The hot springs, swimming pool, and gym are all on B2. The gym facilities are good. The indoor hot springs were mostly a children's play area. The outdoor hot springs weren't very large, and some of the pools weren't open. The lighting at night was too dim to see clearly, and the sweat and salt steam rooms were also closed, which made it feel a bit uninspired.

Staying at the Regent Beijing was definitely a highlight of my trip. The hotel's location on Jinbao Street is unbeatable, just a short walk to the Forbidden City, and very close to Dengshikou Station on Metro Line 5. It's incredibly convenient for exploring historical sites or shopping at Wangfujing – truly a perfect location! The views from the high-floor rooms were absolutely stunning. The floor-to-ceiling windows framed the Forbidden City's red walls and golden roofs like a natural painting. The imperial charm of the city at dawn and dusk was simply captivating. The room decor beautifully blends traditional Chinese elegance with modern comfort, featuring warm wooden furniture and a marble bathroom. Every detail exuded quality, and the complimentary first-round minibar and laundry service were thoughtful touches. The service truly made us feel welcome. The experience consultant, who we communicated with in advance, not only reserved a restaurant table but also arranged welcome desserts and champagne in our room. When we called late at night to request an extra bed, it arrived within minutes. Even toiletries we accidentally left behind were safely kept for us. This level of attentiveness far exceeded our expectations. The dining experience was equally impressive. The steaks at the Italian steakhouse on the second floor were perfectly seared and juicy. The 'East of the Forbidden City' themed afternoon tea transformed elements like dragon patterns and blue-and-white porcelain into exquisite pastries. Enjoying them with the sunlight streaming through the windows was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The hotel perfectly combines the heritage of a long-standing luxury brand with thoughtful service. It's undoubtedly a top choice for accommodation in Beijing.

I really hit the jackpot choosing this hotel for my autumn trip to Beijing. When you're here for the fall foliage, you want to be living in the middle of it, and this hotel's window views are just incredible – definitely worth the hype for Instagram. Lots of people come here just to take photos, and the great thing about staying at the hotel is you can avoid the crowds. The location is fantastic. It's about a 10-minute walk to Tiananmen Gate 4, which makes catching the flag-raising ceremony and exploring the square's attractions super convenient. I was in Beijing for 3 days and visited Tiananmen Square twice, getting through security very quickly both times. It seems Gate 4 has fewer people. There's also a bus stop right next to the hotel, making public transport very easy. The subway stations for various lines are about a ten-minute walk away, which is perfectly acceptable for someone who enjoys walking like me. I'm not too picky about cleanliness; as long as it's presentable enough to sleep in, I'm fine, and I bring a lot of my own stuff anyway. So, broadly speaking, I didn't notice any issues, and I didn't pay attention to the small details. But since the hotel has been around for so long, I'm sure it's up to standard. The overall decor is a bit old-fashioned, but it has everything you need. I particularly loved the large bathtub; coming back from the cold wind outside with a foggy head, a bath really clears everything up. The front desk staff were also quite friendly. The only thing is, it's a very popular hotel, and it was fully booked when I arrived, so I had to wait until after 2 PM to check in. Thankfully, I could leave my luggage in the lobby, so I dropped my bags and went straight out to explore without any delay to my plans. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the hotel, and I'll definitely stay here again next year when I come to Beijing for the autumn leaves.

Excellent location - 1min from Beijing apm and main Wangfujing street. Lots of food around the vicinity but you got to explore a little bit. I booked a Deluxe Twin Room. It was super spacious. Automated toilet seat(open/close) with bidet. Nice bathtub though I did not use it, since it's a hassle to open/close the open concept kind of toilet/bathroom. Breakfast spread was decent but I personally think there could have been more variety. There's a few live station such as the zhajiangmien and omelette station. It was nice. A little more improvement could be made as I noticed the chef not wearing gloves. I do not mind but I just thought a 5 star hotel chef would be wearing gloves. No complains though. Reception staff was very courteous, greeting you whenever they see you. Excellent service. Cons - I think the lobby is way too small for a 5 star hotel like Hilton. There are only 2 seats and a long sofa which can sit up to 5 pax(maybe?). There are always guests around, so usually, I would have no place to sit. Though it's not an issue for me, I thought those elderly might need them. I walked around Wangfujing and noticed neighbouring hotels such as Regent, Novotel(4-star) has very huge lobby. But it is what it is. Overall - Nice place, great service staff and spacious room. Breakfast spread could be better and open concept bathroom can be automated such that it is easy for people to close the doors. Lobby size is a big minus. Loved the free toiletries/amenities next to reception area. Face oil, cleanser, toner & cream from DHC brand

The modern Hilton Beijing, nestled in the embassy district, is a stone's throw from the Liangma River scenic area and just a 30-minute drive from the airport. It's also conveniently close to the vibrant Sanlitun area and boasts excellent wellness facilities. We were particularly impressed by the beautiful front desk staff, Kerin, Ella, and Rida, whose soft-spoken and attentive communication made us feel incredibly comfortable. Their professional and dedicated service truly made us feel at home. Special mention must also go to Floor Manager Zhuang and Sister Wang Zhenzhen, who went above and beyond with their warm greetings and thoughtful notes, making our three-day, two-night stay truly feel like a home away from home. As autumn deepens, we enjoyed watching the sunset and evening glow here, along with a variety of dining experiences at both the Chinese and Western restaurants, and relaxed with the leisure and entertainment facilities. The Hilton Beijing has become our ideal choice for a luxurious yet relaxed getaway. Some people are just as gentle and beautiful as flowers!

Miyun reservoir Beijing|70.35km from city center
The hotel's facilities and external environment are quite good. The rooms are clean, quiet, and the bedding is comfortable. However, there are too many items on the bedside tables, leaving almost no usable space, which is a bit inconvenient. The outdoor air is fresh, and you can climb the mountain behind the waterfall for a distant view of Miyun Reservoir. The indoor children's play area is a decent size, with slides, trampolines, and climbing structures suitable for older children. The decor feels a bit cold and empty, but the staff providing the childcare service are very responsible. Outdoors, there's a simple vegetable patch where you can pick vegetables freely to feed rabbits and chickens, and it's lit up at night. The kids really enjoyed these two areas. The various children's craft activities were set up like temporary stalls in one of the hotel's banquet halls, which felt a bit deserted and makeshift. We didn't have time to participate. During the National Day holiday, there were many guests, and it felt like the staff were a bit overwhelmed. The overall service wasn't very meticulous, but everyone's attitude was good. The Half-Mountain Hot Spring is a public bath, but between 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM, there are very few people, making it easier to enjoy the best-viewed pools by yourself. Therapeutic treatments and dinner reservations need to be booked through the butler. Most other activities require advance booking on the mini-program, which can feel a bit cumbersome. We forgot to book dinner seats half a day in advance, and by the afternoon, we were told we'd have to wait until 7 or 8 PM. However, the in-room meal delivery service was excellent, and the food tasted good. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of high-quality ingredients, with both Chinese and Western options, though it leans more towards Western cuisine. The restaurant's capacity is limited. We're early risers, and our dining experience before 8:20 AM was good. After that, you'd have to wait in a long queue at the entrance. At night, the hotel's outdoor areas are lit up, perfect for a walk in the comfortable temperature. You can even see the winding lights of the Great Wall in the distance. A big thank you to our butler, Vivian, for her patient service and timely, warm reminders, which made our trip smoother and more convenient 🌹.

The facilities and environment were excellent, but the room amenities fell far short of expectations. The refrigerator wasn't cold, blood stains were found on pillows, the bedding was torn, and the bathroom door couldn't lock. That said, I'm immensely grateful to the hotel butler, Bradley, for his exceptional care. He provided 24/7 support for my family and me, promptly addressing every request—whether fixing malfunctioning phones, repairing all broken lights in the room, or other issues. His help extended beyond hotel duties: when we planned outings, he offered invaluable advice, practical tips, and essential reminders. Though these matters weren't his responsibility after we checked out, he meticulously arranged everything for us. Bradley truly went above and beyond.

My family and I have been visiting for nearly a decade now – my child was just a little girl when we first started coming here! Our experience earlier this year was particularly good. The rooms were pleasantly scented, clean, and tidy. The overall package, including the hot springs, swimming, fitness facilities, and buffet breakfast, offered excellent value for money. The hot spring experience this time was exceptionally good, with great attention to detail. It was evident that the hotel places great importance on the water quality and environment in the hot springs area. We're particularly grateful to Manager Wang Fang, who oversees the hot springs. Her service is consistently excellent each year, always warm and personally attentive. The breakfast, as always, was incredibly rich, offering a wide array of both Chinese and Western options. We hope the prices remain affordable during the winter peak season, especially for loyal, returning guests like us.

The room was spacious and bright, with a balcony and a super king-size bed, making it very comfortable for our family of three. Overall, we were very satisfied. However, there was a slight hiccup during check-in. We arrived early in the morning, and our group-buying room included access to the Paleontological Institute at the World Horticultural Exposition Park. We had called ahead to inquire if we could check in first and use the tickets to visit the institute before checking in. So, we went to the hotel reception to check in. There were two receptionists, and each had one person ahead of them. I randomly took a spot and waited for 20 minutes, but the person ahead of me still hadn't finished. My child was getting impatient, so I asked the receptionist how much longer it would take. The staff didn't respond at all, but the person checking in turned around and said she was checking in as a group. Then, just then, the person next to us... There was no one at the other front desk, so I went there immediately. I complained that it was taking too long, but the person who checked me in was the duty manager for the day, Kongkong. She was very patient, explained the situation, and apologized for making me wait. She quickly checked me in, gave me a sunny room, and the room was already prepared and ready to move in. It was around 9 a.m., which was very heartwarming. Later, she added me on WeChat to ask if I needed anything. Before checkout, she proactively asked if I needed a late checkout and processed my checkout until 3 p.m. The manager was also a six-month pregnant woman, and she handled everything so well despite her health condition. Other hotel staff should learn from her. The hotel's buffet breakfast was average, but there was a queue around 9 a.m., probably due to the large number of people on the weekend. The wait wasn't too long, but I hope this can be improved. The children's heated pool was nice, and the kids had a lot of fun. However, the deep end was too cold, probably not even 20 degrees Celsius. Only one or two adults went in and swam for a while before coming out. I hope this can be improved.

We return to this distinctive luxury hotel in the Beijing suburbs annually. All rooms boast an elegant, classic decor, complemented by very modern facilities and wonderfully comfortable bedding. As a regular guest this time, I received a complimentary upgrade to a private hot spring room. Soaking in the private hot spring on a rainy night, with the night view as a backdrop, offered a truly unique ambiance. The service was impeccable; they were incredibly accommodating, providing an outdoor table and chair set, and even pre-cleaning the private hot spring pool for us. The courtyard is home to eight incredibly friendly cats, who lazily sunbathe on the ground and under cars. It's evident they're cherished and very much at home here. We also spotted two adorable little squirrels, and I heard there are even hedgehogs! It's a place where you can immerse yourself in nature, surrounded by charming little creatures – a perfect sanctuary for body and soul. That's why I make time to visit several times a year. 1. Excellent location, with decent dining options nearby. 2. They have their own parking, which costs 80 RMB per day. 3. The facilities are on par with a quasi-five-star hotel, very new. 4. Service is great; requests are attended to quickly. 5. Plenty of hot water for a comfortable shower. 6. Food delivery needs to be picked up in the elevator lobby; they don't deliver to the room. 7. The room was very warm in winter. Drawbacks: 1. The double room facing the road wasn't very soundproof. 2. The shower head lacked labels, so it was hard to tell which one was which. 3. I suggest using robots for food delivery, a service many five-star hotels now offer.

They helped us with so much information about local dining, shopping and sightseeing locations. We arrived very late at night to check in. The staff welcomed us and gave us a free upgrade. The room was beautiful. Very roomy, good facilities and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in. We had the pleasure of dining in the revolving restaurant. Food and service were impeccable. Train Station Area Shanghai|2.4km from city center
In the cluster of hotels in Shanghai's core area, what truly sets Pullman Shanghai Jing'an apart isn't just its 'convenience,' but its precise balance between 'frequent travel needs' and ' understated luxury and relaxation.' It's like a discerning old friend: never showy, yet always hitting the right note at every critical juncture. The hotel's location is supremely convenient, a 'hub-level' accessibility. It's a 5-10 minute walk to Shanghai Railway Station and a 3-minute connection to the subway. Whether you're catching an early high-speed train or returning after a night out on the Bund, there's no need to rush. Yet, the moment you step into the lobby, the city's hustle and bustle fade away. The understated luxurious decor, paired with vibrant greenery, avoids excessive flair, instead using perfect lighting and a delightful aroma to instantly relax you. The most pleasant surprise is the 'granularity' of the service: the concierge can arrange shipping for forgotten items for guests who have already checked out, and the front desk service is warm and efficient. This unforced attentiveness feels warmer than standardized service. The rooms are an example of 'practical sophistication': floor-to-ceiling windows invite the city skyline in, the bedding is soft yet supportive, and it offers both a full-sized desk for business travelers and connecting room options essential for families. Even the sofa in executive suites can be converted into an extra bed free of charge, revealing a thoughtful consideration for different guest demographics in every detail. The leisure area on the 6th floor is a hidden gem: a 28℃恒温 swimming pool with the Jing'an skyline visible through floor-to-ceiling windows. In the evening, the golden sunset reflects on the water, creating stunning, high-quality photos effortlessly. The 24-hour gym ensures exercise is never a chore. It lacks the gimmicks of 'influencer hotels' but, through a profound understanding of the 'essence of travel and living,' it enables business travelers to be efficient and stress-free, families to be comfortable and at ease, and solo travelers to find a sense of relaxation. In Jing'an, where every inch of land is precious, a hotel that 'understands needs and offers warmth' truly is the premier choice for accommodation.

Today is my last day at The Westin Bund Center Shanghai. At first, I loved the hotel, but unfortunately, the experience has slowly deteriorated. Before arrival, I had tried emailing ************************* to make a small request to celebrate an anniversary, but the email failed to deliver with an error saying the recipient’s server didn’t recognize certain characters. I’m not sure why, as the email was in English and sent from my phone. At check-in, I mentioned this to the receptionist (his name started with “C”), who was very polite and spoke to the lady behind him, asking her to reach out to Angela to assist. He then told me to head to my room and assured me I would be contacted. I waited for an hour in the room with no update, so I went out hoping to find a message upon my return, but sadly, there was still nothing. The email issue could have been my fault, and that is fine. But what is unacceptable is being promised a follow-up for such a special occasion and then never receiving it. For a hotel of this standard, I expected better communication and service consistency. Later, my son lost part of his toy, which led me to start searching around the room. While doing so, I discovered dust under every cabinet. Worse, I found what looked like someone else’s cream bottle stuck between the bed and the dresser. This makes me believe that the bottom part of the bed sheet was not changed, as housekeeping would almost certainly have noticed such an item if the bed had been properly stripped and remade. I have stayed in many Marriott properties, and this is the first time I would give only 2–3 stars. :(

The grandeur of old Shanghai can still be vividly imagined through the Peace Hotel. Many hotels ask if you'd like your luggage sent to your room, but the Peace Hotel doesn't. From the moment you arrive at the entrance and say ”checking in,” your bags are taken care of all the way to the walk-in closet in your room. If you get lost inside (like I did), don't worry about not finding help; staff members are everywhere, proactively approaching you to ask if you need anything. Hello everyone! Mr. Li is back again! Time flies. Last time I stayed at Pudong Shangri-La for five nights in late April, and this time, I’m here with my family for two nights. First of all, the Christmas decorations inside and outside the hotel are absolutely beautiful. It's not a flashy kind of luxury, but rather a unique charm and romance that's characteristic of Shangri-La. Truly lovely. My car was parked in B1, and Manager Wang from the front office happened to be by the elevator. He's a very responsible leader and helped us with our luggage and check-in. It made us feel so welcome, truly like coming home. It's precisely because leaders like Manager Wang are at Shangri-La that even the somewhat dated hardware at Pudong Shangri-La doesn't seem to matter as much. Perhaps I'll keep choosing this place because of outstanding individuals like Manager Wang. The front desk staff, Xiao Guo, handled the entire check-in process courteously and professionally. Commendable. I won't say much about the room's hardware. It feels very familiar, but it is indeed a bit old. Two out of three power outlets weren't working too well. The hygiene was satisfactory as well, and all the aunties were very polite. However, I do have one complaint to report this time. It concerns a male employee in the soft-boiled egg and beef porridge area at the breakfast restaurant. My wife and I passed by this area around 10:30 AM on the 7th. This male employee was preparing the porridge. We asked him something, and he suddenly responded very rudely, saying, “Five minutes! Five minutes!” His tone was extremely impatient, and he didn't even look up or make eye contact with us. It felt very disrespectful and impolite. Why do we remember this male employee so vividly? Because he sometimes also appears in the omelet and egg roll area, and when we stayed here in April, it was also this same male employee. I remember clearly that his attitude was very poor and nasty then too. He frequently glares at guests, not just us, but other guests as well. I hope the hotel investigates this and takes serious action against this employee. Firing him would probably be best. I honestly find his presence upsetting; it seems like he truly dislikes his job. To give some inappropriate examples, Manager Wang from the front office is like an angel from heaven, while this male employee is like an emissary from hell… Also, the junior service staff in the restaurant are all very good and dedicated. Commendable. Today around 11:30 AM, I called concierge to ask for a cart to help with check-out. However, after waiting for about 15 minutes, no concierge staff showed up. My elderly parents and children couldn't wait any longer. My wife and I had to carry all our bags ourselves, which was quite difficult. This was also very disappointing. Perhaps they were very busy, which I understand. I reported the situation to the concierge, and a male concierge wearing glasses said they were busy and seemed willing to help me with the luggage, but his movements were just too slow, too slow. I really couldn't take it anymore, so I just said, 'Never mind, I'll do it myself.' This felt a bit incomprehensible... In the B1 parking lot, a Tesla was directly blocking the aisle, making it difficult for many guests to pass. Luggage and strollers couldn't get through normally. I hope the hotel can strengthen management in the parking area. The quality of some people is indeed very low nowadays, and this is particularly severe with the Tesla demographic. They're all somewhat abnormal individuals. Finally, I still want to commend Manager Wang Binran from the front office. His resolute and serious attitude, and the way he treats guests like family, are truly exceptional. I hope the hotel's senior management sees this message and gives Manager Wang the highest recognition, ideally a promotion and a raise. I believe this is the sentiment and request from me, a loyal guest, and many other guests!

We loved our stay and were absolutely impressed with the service at The Anandi! Shilpa and Rubina gave us their contact info and helped us with so many things. They were very patient in our requests and assistance. Rubina helped us navigate all the classes and Shilpa helped us change rooms cuz our AC was broken. Gorgeous hotel, and great food. Amazing staff and service, everyone we saw welcomed us with smiles and hand to their heart. The only complaint was the AC didn’t work out first night so it was hot for me. But we enjoyed the hot springs and massage as well. Hope to return.

Let's cut to the chase and get straight to the good stuff. If you're too lazy to read, just scroll to the bottom for the summary. **Hotel Environment:** Located within a resort complex, the overall ambiance is great, featuring a Japanese Zen garden. **Hotel Location:** They offer six-seater business shuttle services to Disney, directly dropping you off at Metro Station Exit 4. Booking is convenient. For other places in Shanghai, you can also take the hotel shuttle to Exit 4 and start your journey on Line 11. It only takes about 40 minutes by metro to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street near the Bund. **Hotel Hot Spring:** After a long day at Disney, soaking in the hot spring is incredibly relaxing. It's exclusively for hotel guests and comes at no extra charge, offering excellent value for money. **Hotel Dining:** While breakfast isn't extravagant, it has all the essentials and is more than enough to refuel after a morning of queuing and walking at Disney. I highly recommend the pork soft bone ramen and the charcoal-grilled pork belly ramen; a bowl is usually enough to satisfy a noodle-loving child under 10. The scallion pancake is crispy and fragrant – I even took one to Disney with me. The stir-fried cabbage is fresh and delicious, and the bamboo shoot soup is incredibly tasty. The steamed soup dumplings, honestly, weren't that great; they were the only minor flaw in an otherwise excellent meal. **Hotel Facilities:** They have photo sticker booths with various licensed themes, including Zootopia, and the claw machines are relatively easy to win. My child had a blast. **Summary:** In my opinion, this hotel offers better value for money than Disney and the Toy Story Hotel. The six-seater business shuttle, hot spring, and restaurant are definite bonus points. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

🌿 A Poetic & Beautiful Escape at Yu Shuku Wating 🌿 Folks, I simply *have* to rave about this hidden gem I stumbled upon! Just finished my stay, and I absolutely *have* to share this immersive experience! ✨ The moment I stepped into the hotel, I was utterly captivated by the tranquil courtyard views. Winding paths lead to secluded spots, a small pond shimmers, and lush greenery abounds 🌳. Wearing a Qipao here, every casual shot turns into a stunning photo 🎬. The architecture and nature blend seamlessly, truly like stepping into a Jiangnan garden-style paradise~ Inside, the delightful surprises continued 🎉. From the floral arrangements to the calligraphy and displays, an elegant ambiance permeates every corner 🍵. You can even experience scripture copying, calming your mind with ink and brush – a truly unique cultural charm that, if you know, you know! The garden view outside the window is breathtakingly beautiful, making your heart flutter. Sipping tea and enjoying the scenery, it's truly the epitome of slow living 🍃. The room features an extra-large bathtub perfect for a relaxing soak, and they even provide two different kinds of bath products. A floating breakfast is also available for those picture-perfect moments. Plus, the room is fully equipped with an air purifier and a humidifier. The service was incredibly attentive 💗. I used to stay in high-star hotels, but in recent years I have booked homestays when I come to Disneyland. I have a better understanding of the overall situation of the surrounding homestays. The bosses are all people who love life, the staff are relatively enthusiastic, and the room types are relatively unique, but the circle of time still gave us a surprise: 1. The staff's night shift is really ”night”. We arrived late, and they were still waiting for us at midnight. For several days, we left WeChat messages at one or two in the morning. They were surprised and answered questions as they came. On the first day, Shanghai was only more than ten degrees. If we wanted a quilt, we gave it to them. If we wanted to turn on the air conditioner for heating, we turned on the air conditioner. We also told us that if we needed to order takeout, the staff would wait... When the weather changed, they should have helped us collect the clothes that were hung out to dry (when we returned to the room at night, the clothes were returned to the room from the balcony, thank you 🙏) 2. Very friendly to children and pets. We brought many children with us (other guests also brought pets), and we were often afraid of disturbing others when traveling, but here we can let them go completely, safe, practical, and natural (only parents who travel with children carefully can understand this feeling) 3. The environment is very good, with an independent small courtyard, an independent restaurant, a book bar, lawn, swimming pool, small animals, etc. open 24 hours a day in the courtyard. The surrounding area is also very quiet. The boss also thoughtfully arranged a moonlit night barbecue and fireworks for children. The barbecue skewers are great! 4. Breakfast is already very rich in B&Bs, with porridge, corn, sweet potatoes, milk, buns, eggs, fruits, pickles, calculated by person, and you can add more if you need it; If you want to be picky, of course there are some small problems that B&Bs may have, such as some small facilities such as hangers are a bit loose, and idle furnishings cannot be bright and new all the time. Guests who choose B&Bs cannot be evaluated by the standards of five-star hotels. Finally, I want to say that I chatted with the staff in my spare time and learned that they have a small number of people and a high work intensity, working day and night shifts (in fact, there are many conscientious people in every industry), and they really love the B&B business! If you have the passion to do a job, you may be able to do what others cannot do in a short time; but if you love a job and do it, what kind of work status can you achieve over a long period of time? You can only feel it if you come here.

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like this

I rarely write hotel reviews but this one is a true hidden gem! My partner and I stayed for one night and we used this guesthouse as our little getaway from the busy center of Shanghai. It’s perfect for a romantic and cosy staycation, very quiet and private! The water in the private hot spring, surprisingly, comes from a real underground spring so it’s quite hot. Because it’s summer, we had to wait for it to cool down a little bit but it was perfect later on, especially during the night, we stayed in there past midnight and it was amazing. The staff was also really nice to us, with nice service! Overall, we were really amazed of the quality of this experience for this price, one of the best we have tried! ☺️

Jing'an District/West Nanjing Road Shanghai|2.12km from city center
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, but it has both very prominent strengths and weaknesses. First, the positives: 1. The hotel's location is absolutely superb. It's within walking distance of Jing'an Temple, Yuyuan Road, Anfu Road, Plaza 66, CITIC Square, Jing'an Kerry Centre, and Jiuguang Department Store. Shanghai Exhibition Centre is right across the street. This is truly the heart of Jing'an, making dining, entertainment, and transportation incredibly convenient. 2. The hotel's executive lounge offers five complimentary meal services throughout the day, which is very convenient. This hotel has the highest density of foreigners I've seen in China, truly international-friendly. The staff's English proficiency is excellent, and the hotel even provides foreign currency exchange services. Now, the drawbacks: 1. As the first Ritz-Carlton to open in China in 1990, the facilities and decor definitely show their age. However, the flaws don't overshadow its merits; most things are perfectly adequate. But I do hope they'll add kettles to the rooms, especially in autumn and winter, as it would be nice to have warm water. 2. The hotel service can be a bit polarizing. There were noticeable queues during check-in and check-out. Room service is very attentive, but sometimes it felt a bit intrusive. The soundproofing in the rooms could also be improved. Overall, I still recommend it.

I've stayed at the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao multiple times, and I truly love this hotel in Lujiazui! Even though it's an older hotel that's been open for many years, the rooms are exceptionally well-maintained and preserved; you can't see any signs of aging! The room amenities are comprehensive, and both the bedding and toiletries are excellent. The bath products are Balmain, which are really good! This time, Ivy, the guest experience ambassador at Jin Mao, proactively contacted me before my check-in to ask about my preferences and even upgraded me to a Club River View room. I'm so grateful for her thoughtful and meticulous service! The room directly faces the Lujiazui Financial Center, and with the river view, you can clearly see the Oriental Pearl Tower. Both the night view and the daytime scenery are absolutely stunning! The Executive Lounge's afternoon tea starts at noon, and while the selection isn't huge, the evening Happy Hour is truly fantastic. The food is abundant and delicious, and it lasts a long time, from 5 PM to 8 PM! I absolutely adore the hotel's breakfast buffet. Although I missed it on my first day back in China due to jet lag, on the second day, I spent a full two hours savoring the lavish breakfast! The breakfast is divided into Chinese and Western sections. Personally, I think the Western section has a better view as it faces the river and the Oriental Pearl Tower directly, but both Chinese and Western dishes are incredibly plentiful and taste great. The breakfast on the 56th floor was so good that I didn't even bother to check out the breakfast at the Club Lounge! The hotel's location is superb; not only is it in the heart of Lujiazui, but the subway station is also right on the B1 level. It's also very convenient to take a taxi to various attractions and shopping malls in Puxi! A special thank you to the concierge department this time. My suitcase broke during my last stay at Jin Mao a week ago, forcing me to buy a new one at a mall on Nanjing Road. Since I was rushing to go abroad at the time, I had to leave my old suitcase with the concierge. I only picked it up again from the concierge a week later after returning from my trip abroad. I'm truly grateful to the concierge staff! Both this stay and my previous one, the hotel was fully booked, and almost all the guests were foreigners, with very few domestic tourists. Yet, even with such tight room availability, the hotel still reserved my preferred room type for me, which I truly appreciate! Overall, I highly recommend staying at Grand Hyatt Jin Mao! The location is super convenient, making it easy to get anywhere. The rooms are clean, tidy, and refreshing, and the beautiful views are incredibly therapeutic. It's perfect for both relaxation and enjoying the scenery!

The hotel has been renovated. The smart toilet 🚽 wasn't working well, the shower pressure was weak, and it wasn't soundproof. Breakfast was also just average. Rooms weren't cleaned promptly after guests checked out, and the service felt mediocre, not what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel with professional training. The experience wasn't good. Especially on the day of check-in, there were no clean rooms available. The male front desk staff member was quite professional; he upgraded our room and enthusiastically suggested we go for a meal first, as the room should be ready in about an hour. This was commendable 👍. After finishing lunch and returning around 1 PM, I went to the front desk for the room card. A female staff member told us our room still wasn't ready but offered to switch us to another upgraded room. However, upon seeing it, it was a corner room with an awkward, slanted layout. The bed was right next to the door, and the small window faced the street. Even if the room booked through Trip.com was less ideal, they shouldn't handle it like this. I asked her to switch us back to the original room I booked. Overall, the check-in experience was poor.

The hotel experience was really good. The location is excellent, right by the Lujiazui Central Green Space, making shopping, dining, and subway access very convenient. The service was also great; we had someone guide us to the front desk upon check-in, and deliveries could be sent directly to the room. The concierge service was excellent. It was just a cloudy day, so I hope to visit again when the weather is better. I'll definitely choose the classic Ritz-Carlton next time I stay.

The hotel was spotlessly clean in every area. The view was stunning, especially at night.
