The upcoming Youth SRC Course – SURF RESCUE CERTIFICATE (April/May 2024) in Sorrento is an essential training opportunity for individuals looking to acquire surf awareness, aquatic rescue operations, and resuscitation skills. Participants will be equipped to engage in lifesaving operations and serve as Water Safety Personnel. Taking place from 26th April to 5th May 2024 at the Sorrento Surf Club, this course consists of 17 hours of Wet/Dry Training and a 4-hour Wet/Dry Assessment, all for a cost of $40 per person. Registration commences on 5th March 2024 and closes on 11th April 2024, or upon reaching the course capacity of 24 participants. It is crucial to attend all designated sessions, including a compulsory pre-qual swim of 200m in 5 minutes or less. Failure to meet attendance requirements may result in deferring to the next available course. Access to the Online Training Portal will be provided post-registration closure.
