Botanical Art Class - Wednesday Evenings - 7pm - 8:45pm Learn to capture the beauty of nature through drawing and painting, with watercolours, in this weekly Botanical Art Class at St Luke's Therapy Centre in Stroud. This is a fantastic location with direct access to their beautiful gardens which, in the warmer and lighter months, you can work in. With support from artist, Karen Green, you will be shown different techniques for botanical painting, offered an insight into botany and inspired in your creativity. This in-person event is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. Each week, there will be a different focus and Karen will provide a selection of seasonal plants, flowers or fruits but you are also very welcome to bring your own botanical subject to work from and create your own project. Materials will be available for you to use on the evening if you would prefer, (please select this option on the ticket sales) otherwise please see the suggested materials and equipment list below: A selection of watercolour paintsA selection of watercolour brushesHot-pressed watercolour paperHB / 2B pencil and sharpnerWaterproof fine-liner pens size 0.1 and 0.2Putty rubberRulerMixing paint palette or white ceramic plateJam jar / water potKitchen towelDates: This class runs in blocks of 6 weeks.
