Anita Mitchell, a native of the DMV area, draws inspiration from the vibrant art scene of Washington, DC, and her upcoming books will provide a glimpse into the diverse narratives that shape her world. Toya Marie, with over two decades of experience in expressing her creativity through written and spoken words, is eagerly working towards publishing her first book in 2024. The event will be hosted by Khadijah Ali-Coleman, a renowned cultural curator, educator, and award-winning artist. As the Poet Laureate of Prince George's County, MD, she has dedicated her career to transforming spaces into vibrant hubs of artistic and educational exploration.
