Moun Fou playing himself is an aspiring artist but is jailed for 3 months. He meets an older old school artists named Captain who has been in the prison for many years. Captain tries to give him guidance, the weekend before Moun Fou gets out, on how to solidify his position as an all around perfect stage performer. However there is a big generational gap between the 2 and technology has changed since the heyday of the 90's.  Rap Star is a musical, so the story is told through dialogue and also live musical performances by Moun Fou, Circa Beats and Captain in an electric atmosphere. Whether you're a hardcore fan or just looking for a good time, this is the place to be. The story tells the blunt reality of broken dreams of young men who get caught up in the system. There is comedy that will make you laugh, think and be entertained.  Come vibe with us and immerse yourself in the history of Hip-Hop culture in Ottawa.
