Sue will take you through the art of using gum arabic and your own choice of imagery to create colourful, layered work using low-tech materials and equipment. You will come away from this workshop with an array of colourful prints and artist books. All materials are provided in this workshop, however participants are required to bring in their own black-and-white photocopies to develop personalised imagery throughout the day. Sue Brown is a professional artist and printmaker living in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Much of her work is inspired by nature and the landscape. Although Sue specialises in Collagraph printmaking she continues to explore new interests and techniques that are going to produce highly creative and deeply textural surfaces “I’m Inspired by process as much as nature, my work springs from the pages of sketchbooks and I develop carefully researched themes, experimenting with collagraph, fabric and gum arabic transfer.” Information Source: Ruthin Craft Centre | eventbrite
