Discover the art of co-creating captivating theater that enlightens, challenges, and transforms both actors and audiences. Join the Improv 4: Top Of Your Intelligence Six Week Course, exclusively for adults (18+), and unleash your improvisational skills. Guided by the teachings of renowned improv teacher and director Del Close, known for his work with The Committee in San Francisco and iO in Chicago, this course encourages participants to perform at the top of their intelligence. Leela Training Center fosters the development of improvisers who embrace specificity, connect patterns, recognize themes, and infuse their own unique insights into their performances. By mastering the art of thinking quickly and deliberately, participants will learn to co-create compelling theater that captivates, challenges, and transforms both performers and spectators alike. The course culminates in a graduation show, where students showcase their newly acquired skills. Participants must have completed Improv 3: Commitment to Craft or obtain instructor approval. Led by esteemed instructor Andrew Fittingoff, the course takes place on Sundays between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. The course dates are January 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, February 4th, and 11th, 2024. The venue for this transformative experience is STUDIO B at the Leela Training Center, conveniently located at 901 Mission Street, SF, just blocks away from the Powell MUNI/BART station. To attend, please arrive before 5:55 PM and proceed to the lobby of the SF Chronicle Building, where a Leela representative will guide you to the classroom.
