De-Choiring Together, a drop-in community 'choir', invites individuals to explore innovative approaches to score making, vocalizations, gestures, and soundmaking. This unique choir aims to unite voices through abstract communication and interpretation, incorporating imagery and movement to create collective sound experiences. Inspired by the success of the previous happening, De-Choiring: a workshop for new scoring methods at Phoenix Central Park, this event builds upon the knowledge gained to respond to abstracted scores and surrounding movement. The workshop welcomes participants of all backgrounds, regardless of previous choir or musical experience. Although the venue is wheelchair accessible, please note that the bathroom is not.
