Phase 1 of the 8 Elements of Belly Dance, taking place in September 2023 with renowned dancer Rachel Brice, focuses on the essential aspects of belly dance technique, practice, musicality, vocabulary development, and improvisation. This in-person event at Datura in Portland offers an opportunity for dancers of all levels to strengthen their foundation in belly dance. While no prior experience is required, we recommend at least 1 year of dance experience for those interested in Phase 1.
