I'm putting on a concert at the beautiful and intimate Small World Centre in Toronto. I played here with my trio Euphonic in 2017 along with the brilliant Bossa Nova duet Timna y Dario, and I'm excited to headline my own show now ! As I'm sure you all know, my shows are never quite the same thing twice, and this time I'll have a keyboard and lap steel with me to accompany the bad jokes and stories about how this music I play came to be. Come on out and say ta for now to Montreal's newest resident ! For the uninitiated: I'm a multi-instrumentalist who specializes in 1960s and 1970s rock and prog, but also touches on other periods and genres from Baroque to Buena Vista Social Club and Romantic to Radiohead. Typically I play acoustic guitar and layer parts live with a simple looper pedal, ranging from favourites that everyone knows to obscurities that everyone ought to know. Plus I do a few of my own compositions as well. It's always a very mixed bag, and a whole lot of fun. Doors are at 7pm. Show starts at 7:30pm.
