What a wonderful week we had! We, 3 adults (mum, dad and son who is 19) like many in here had reservations about our choice after reading the reviews, however they were quickly put aside after our arrival. We arrived at 2am for a week to be met with some snacks and drinks already in our room and a very warm welcome at reception. We were in a suite, which was literally 8 steps to the lower pool. Room was beautiful with two patio areas and although a little tired in corners we were extremely pleased. Rooms were cleaned and made up every day and the staff were wonderful and friendly. Always leaving fresh towels even if we didn't want the room cleaned! Restaurant always had a good variety of different things. Pancakes at breakfast were very nice and the dinner options were always different. I did notice if we had beef one night, they'd be creative using leftovers for the next night. So minimal food waste which was nice to see! Staff were always warm and welcoming, and the restaurant had stunning views! Never had to wait for a table and never felt super busy! Pools and the surrounding areas were lovely and clean with staff coming around regularly to pick up any glasses, plates etc! Sunbeds are plentiful and we always had options! The bar at the pool was lovely and a great selection of drinks, local and branded, and a good selection of cocktails included! The food in the afternoon on offer was a little disappointing and not a huge selection, but if you really need lunch then restaurant is open and has a lovely selection,l. . Only thing to consider is that if there are more than 2 off you, the bar will only give out 2 drinks per person when it is busy. But that honestly wasn't an issue and the bar staff are so amazing. Pool towels are provided at €5 per towel but thats fully refunded when you leave and you can change then as often as you like! The shuttle bus to Bali is a great option! They run on time and when it's busy they either double run or added a second bus on. Drive is only about 7 minutes. Dropped right at the beach access and a lovely restaurant which had stunning fresh food which came in huge portions and was definitely not expensive for what you got! The bus back can sometimes be really busy so we always planned to head back a little later if there was a long queue, another hour in Bali was always welcome! We always made it back before the last bus so can't comment on any taxi options for later in the evening. The beach itself was busy, and as guests of fillion can get use of the beds for free to use. Staff are usually around to let you know what you can and can't use. We ended up right on the water so were able to sit on the edge of the sunbed with the water lapping our toes! Also worth a mention that the beaches are sandy, shallow for a bit and crystal clear! As it was free for the hotel users and others could pay for it, it was a bit busy and noisy, but lovely all the same. There is a beach bar just above, but we never used
