Brussels peeing child (Manneken Pis) is one of the iconic statues of the Belgian capital Brussels, known as the "First Citizen of Brussels". The peeing child statue is located in the pedestrian area of downtown Brussels, about 53 cm tall, and sits on a marble carved platform about two meters high. The statue was made of bronze, the original bronze statue was created in 1619 by the Belgian sculptor Jerome Duquesnova. There are many versions of legends about the origin and story of peeing children: • Legend 1: In 1142, the Duke of Goth Fred III led the army against foreign enemies, and the Duke put his young son in a cradle and hung on a tree to inspire the army's morale and finally defeated the enemy. • Legend 2: Less than getting up in the middle of the night to pee, seeing the neighbor's house on fire, can not find the water to put out, so with urine to extinguish the fire, rescue the trapped people. • Legend 3: When the ancient Spanish invaders evacuated Brussels, they wanted to blow up the city with explosives, less than pissing overnight, doused the fuse, thereby saving Brussels. • Legend 4: The rulers of the Holy Roman Empire intended to blow up Brussels with explosives, less than even discovering and dousing the fuse. Peeing children is not only a landmark in Brussels, but also a symbol of the Belgian spirit, representing bravery and wisdom. It is well worth visiting the Brussels Atomic Tower in the Belgian capital. It is one of the landmarks of Brussels, built during the 1958 Brussels World Expo. The atomic tower consists of nine giant spheres, symbolizing an enlarged model of an iron atom. If you have enough time, you can take the elevator to the inside of the sphere and the observation deck at the top overlooking the entire downtown Brussels.



It's not as majestic as I imagined, but when I saw it, I understood it. The whole building is still very conspicuous, and seems to be an L-shaped shape (I can't confirm it because I didn't see the back). There are flags of various colors flying on the front.



【New EU Headquarters Building】Located in a cross-shaped building at 200 Rue de la Loi, Brussels, Belgium, the X-shaped Berlaymont Building is the most symbolic building in Brussels, Belgium. Since its completion in 1967, it has become the headquarters office building of the then European Community, which is now the European Union. The property rights of the Berlaymont Building belong to the Belgian government, and the European Union uses it on a lease basis. Address: Rue de la Loi 200, 1000 Bruxelles Transportation: Take Metro Line 5 or bus to Schuman Station, and you can see the building after exiting the station



I have seen the Royal palace from outside. The flag was out which means that the King was currently there. The area is so beautiful, and the street in front of the royal palace is old style for when there are big royal event and parades. Totally with visiting!
